1 Chronicles 8
1 And, Benjamin, begat Bela his firstborn, —Ashbel, the second, and Aharah, the third, —
| ובנימן--הוליד את בלע בכרו אשבל השני ואחרח השלישי |
2 Nohah, the fourth, and Rapha, the fifth.
| נוחה הרביעי ורפא החמישי |
3 And Bela had sons—Addar, and Gera, and Abihud, —
| ויהיו בנים לבלע--אדר וגרא ואביהוד |
4 and Abishua, and Naaman, and Ahoah, —
| ואבישוע ונעמן ואחוח |
5 and Gera, and Shephuphan, and Huram.
| וגרא ושפופן וחורם |
6 And, these, are the sons of Ehud, —these, are the ancestral chiefs to the inhabitants of Geba, but they were carried away captive, unto Manahath;
| ואלה בני אחוד אלה הם ראשי אבות ליושבי גבע ויגלום אל מנחת |
7 and, as for Naaman and Ahijah and Gera, the same, carried them captive, —and he begat Uzza and Ahihud.
| ונעמן ואחיה וגרא הוא הגלם והוליד את עזא ואת אחיחד |
8 And, Shaharaim, begat children in the field of Moab, after he had sent away Hushim and Baara his wives.
| ושחרים הוליד בשדה מואב מן שלחו אתם--חושים ואת בערא נשיו |
9 Then begat he, of Hodesh his wife, —Jobab, and Zibia, and Mesha, and Malcam;
| ויולד מן חדש אשתו--את יובב ואת צביא ואת מישא ואת מלכם |
10 and Jeuz, and Sachia, and Mirmah, —these, were his sons, ancestral chiefs.
| ואת יעוץ ואת שכיה ואת מרמה אלה בניו ראשי אבות |
11 And, of Hushim, he begat Abitub, and Elpaal.
| ומחשים הוליד את אביטוב ואת אלפעל |
12 And, the sons of Elpaal, Eber, and Misham, and Shemed, —he, built Ono, and Lod, and the villages thereof.
| ובני אלפעל עבר ומשעם ושמד הוא בנה את אונו ואת לד ובנתיה |
13 And, as for Beriah and Shema, they, were ancestral chiefs to the inhabitants of Aijalon, —they, put to flight the inhabitants of Gath;
| וברעה ושמע--המה ראשי האבות ליושבי אילון המה הבריחו את יושבי גת |
14 and Ahio, Shashak, and Jeremoth, —
| ואחיו ששק וירמות |
15 and Zebadiah, and Arad, and Eder, —
| וזבדיה וערד ועדר |
16 and Michael, and Ishpah, and Joha, sons of Beriah, —
| ומיכאל וישפה ויוחא בני בריעה |
17 and Zebadiah, and Meshullam, and Hizki, and Heber, —
| וזבדיה ומשלם וחזקי וחבר |
18 and Ishmerai, and Izliah, and Jobab, sons of Elpaal, —
| וישמרי ויזליאה ויובב בני אלפעל |
19 and Jakim, and Zichri, and Zabdi—
| ויקים וזכרי וזבדי |
20 and Elienai, and Zillethai, and Eliel, —
| ואליעיני וצלתי ואליאל |
21 and Adaiah, and Beraiah, and Shimrath, sons of Shimei, —
| ועדיה ובראיה ושמרת בני שמעי |
22 and Ishpan, and Eber, and Eliel, —
| וישפן ועבר ואליאל |
23 and Abdon, and Zichri, and Hanan, —
| ועבדון וזכרי וחנן |
24 and Hananiah, and Elam, and Anthothijah, —
| וחנניה ועילם וענתתיה |
25 and Iphdeiah, and Penuel, sons of Shashak, —
| ויפדיה ופניאל (ופנואל) בני ששק |
26 and Shamsherai, and Shehariah, and Athaliah, —
| ושמשרי ושחריה ועתליה |
27 and Jaareshiah, and Elijah, and Zichri, sons of Jeroham:
| ויערשיה ואליה וזכרי בני ירחם |
28 these, were ancestral chiefs to their generations, chief men, —these, dwelt in Jerusalem;
| אלה ראשי אבות לתלדותם ראשים אלה ישבו בירושלם |
29 And, in Gibeon, dwelt the father of Gibeon [Jeiel], the name of whose wife, was Maacah, —
| ובגבעון ישבו אבי גבעון ושם אשתו מעכה |
30 and his firstborn son, Abdon, and Zur and Kish, and Baal and Ner and Nadab, —
| ובנו הבכור עבדון וצור וקיש ובעל ונדב |
31 and Gedor, and Ahio, and Zecher.
| וגדור ואחיו וזכר |
32 And, Mikloth, begat Shimeah, —moreover also, they, over against their brethren, did dwell in Jerusalem, with their own brethren.
| ומקלות הוליד את שמאה ואף המה נגד אחיהם ישבו בירושלם--עם אחיהם |
33 So then, Ner, begat Kish, and, Kish, begat Saul, —and, Saul, begat Jonathan, and Malchishua, and Abinadab, and Eshbaal.
| ונר הוליד את קיש וקיש הוליד את שאול ושאול הוליד את יהונתן ואת מלכישוע ואת אבינדב ואת אשבעל |
34 And, the son of Jonathan, was Merib-baal, —and, Merib-baal, begat Micah.
| ובן יהונתן מריב בעל ומריב בעל הוליד את מיכה |
35 And, the sons of Micah, were Pithon, and Melech, and Tarea, and Ahaz.
| ובני מיכה--פיתון ומלך ותארע ואחז |
36 And, Ahaz, begat Jehoaddah, and, Jehoaddah, begat Alemeth, and Azmaveth, and Zimri, —and, Zimri, begat Moza;
| ואחז הוליד את יהועדה ויהועדה הוליד את עלמת ואת עזמות ואת זמרי וזמרי הוליד את מוצא |
37 and, Moza, begat Binea, —Raphah was his son, Eleasah his son, Azel his son.
| ומוצא הוליד את בנעא רפה בנו אלעשה בנו אצל בנו |
38 And, Azel, had six sons, and, these, were their names—Azrikam, Bocheru, and Ishmael, and Sheariah, and Obediah, and Hanan and Asah, —all these, were sons of Azel.
| ולאצל ששה בנים--ואלה שמותם עזריקם בכרו וישמעאל ושעריה ועבדיה וחנן כל אלה בני אצל |
39 And, the sons of Eshek his brother, were Ulam his firstborn, Jeush the second, and Eliphelet the third.
| ובני עשק אחיו אולם בכרו--יעוש השני ואליפלט השלשי |
40 And the sons of Ulam became men that were heroes of valour, archers, with many sons, and sons’ sons, a hundred and fifty. All these, were of the sons of Benjamin.
| ויהיו בני אולם אנשים גבורי חיל דרכי קשת ומרבים בנים ובני בנים--מאה וחמשים כל אלה מבני בנימן |
