1 Chronicles 22
1 Then said David, This, is the house of Yahweh God, —and, this, is the altar of ascending-sacrifice, for Israel.
അതിനുശേഷം ദാവീദ്, “ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ ആലയവും, ഇസ്രായേലിന് ഹോമയാഗം കഴിക്കുന്നതിനുള്ള യാഗപീഠവും ഇവിടെ ആയിരിക്കണം” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
2 And David gave word, to gather together the sojourners, who were in the land of Israel, —and he set hewers to hew squared stones, for building the house of God;
തുടർന്ന്, ഇസ്രായേലിലുള്ള പ്രവാസികളെ ഒരുമിച്ചുകൂട്ടാൻ ദാവീദ് കൽപ്പനകൊടുത്തു. ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ആലയം പണിയുന്നതിനുവേണ്ടി ചെത്തിയ കല്ലു തയ്യാറാക്കാൻ അവരിൽനിന്നു കൽപ്പണിക്കാരെ അദ്ദേഹം നിയോഗിച്ചു.
3 and, iron in abundance, for nails for the doors of the gates, and for hooks, did David prepare, —and bronze in abundance, without weight;
വാതിൽക്കതകുകൾക്കുവേണ്ട ആണിയും മറ്റു സാമഗ്രികളും ഉണ്ടാക്കുന്നതിനു വളരെയേറെ ഇരുമ്പും തൂക്കം തിട്ടപ്പെടുത്താൻ കഴിയാത്തത്ര വെങ്കലവും അദ്ദേഹം ഒരുക്കിവെച്ചു.
4 and cedar-trees, even without number, —for the Zidonians and the Tyreans brought cedar-trees in abundance, unto David.
എണ്ണമറ്റ ദേവദാരുക്കളും അദ്ദേഹം സംഭരിച്ചിരുന്നു; സീദോന്യരും സോർ നിവാസികളും ദാവീദിനുവേണ്ടി അവ ധാരാളമായി കൊണ്ടുവന്നിരുന്നു.
5 And David said, Solomon my son, is young and tender, and, the house to be built, must be great and lofty and famous and beautiful, for all lands, —oh let me then prepare for it. So David prepared abundantly, before his death.
“എന്റെ മകൻ ശലോമോൻ ചെറുപ്പമാണ്; പരിചയസമ്പന്നനുമല്ല; യഹോവയ്ക്കുവേണ്ടി പണിയപ്പെടേണ്ട ആലയം സകലജനതകളുടെയും ദൃഷ്ടിയിൽ അത്യന്തം പ്രൗഢിയും കീർത്തിയും ശോഭയുംകൊണ്ടു മഹത്ത്വമേറിയതും ആയിരിക്കണം. അതിനാൽ ഞാൻ അതിനുവേണ്ടി ഒരുക്കങ്ങൾ കൂട്ടും,” എന്ന് ദാവീദു പറഞ്ഞു. അദ്ദേഹം തന്റെ മരണത്തിനു മുമ്പായി അതിവിപുലമായ ഒരുക്കങ്ങൾ നടത്തുകയും ചെയ്തു.
6 Then he called for Solomon his son, —and charged him, to build a house, for Yahweh, God of Israel.
അതിനുശേഷം ദാവീദ് ശലോമോനെ വിളിച്ചുവരുത്തിയിട്ട് ഇസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയ്ക്ക് ഒരു ആലയം പണിയുന്നതിനു ചുമതലപ്പെടുത്തി.
7 And David said to Solomon his son, —As for me, it was, near my heart, to build a house for the Name of Yahweh my God;
ദാവീദ് ശലോമോനോട് ഇപ്രകാരം പറഞ്ഞു: “എന്റെ മകനേ, എന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ നാമത്തിന് ഒരാലയം പണിയുന്നതിനു ഞാൻ ഹൃദയപൂർവം ആഗ്രഹിച്ചിരുന്നു.
8 but the word of Yahweh came unto me, saying, Blood in abundance, hast thou shed, and, great wars, hast thou made, —thou shalt not build a house for my Name, because, much blood, hast thou shed upon the earth, before me.
എന്നാൽ യഹോവയിൽനിന്ന് ഈ അരുളപ്പാടാണ് എനിക്കു ലഭിച്ചത്: ‘നീ വളരെയേറെ രക്തം ചിന്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു; വളരെയേറെ യുദ്ധങ്ങളും നീ നടത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ നാമത്തിന് ഒരാലയം പണിയേണ്ടതു നീയല്ല; കാരണം, എന്റെ കൺമുമ്പിൽ, നീ ഭൂതലത്തിൽ വളരെയേറെ രക്തം ചിന്തിയവനാണ്.
9 Lo! a son, born to thee, He, shall be a man of rest, and I will give him rest from all his enemies, round about, —for, Solomon, shall be his Name, and, peace and quietness, will I bestow upon Israel, in his days;
എന്നാൽ നിനക്കൊരു മകൻ ഉണ്ടാകും. അവൻ സമാധാനത്തിന്റെയും വിശ്രമത്തിന്റെയും പുരുഷനായിരിക്കും. സകലയിടങ്ങളിലുമുള്ള അവന്റെ സകലശത്രുക്കളിൽനിന്നും ഞാൻ അവനു വിശ്രമം നൽകും. അവന്റെ പേര് ശലോമോൻ എന്നായിരിക്കും. അവന്റെ ഭരണകാലത്തു ഞാൻ ഇസ്രായേലിനു സമാധാനവും ശാന്തിയും പ്രദാനംചെയ്യും.
10 He, shall build a house for my Name, and, he, shall be my son, and, I, will be his father, —therefore will I establish the throne of his kingdom over Israel, unto times age-abiding:
എന്റെ നാമത്തിന് ഒരാലയം പണിയേണ്ടത് അവനാണ്. അവൻ എനിക്കു മകനും ഞാൻ അവനു പിതാവും ആയിരിക്കും. ഇസ്രായേലിന്മേൽ അവന്റെ രാജസിംഹാസനം ഞാൻ ശാശ്വതമാക്കും.’
11 Now, my son, Yahweh be with thee, —so shalt thou be prosperous, and shalt build the house of Yahweh thy God, according as he hath spoken concerning thee.
“അതിനാൽ, ഇപ്പോൾ, എന്റെ മകനേ, യഹോവ നിന്നോടുകൂടെ ഇരിക്കുമാറാകട്ടെ. നിനക്കു വിജയം ലഭിക്കുമാറാകട്ടെ! നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ ആലയം പണിയുക, അവിടന്ന് അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതുപോലെ നീ പണിയും.
12 Only Yahweh give thee discretion and understanding, and give thee charge over Israel, —so that thou take heed unto the law of Yahweh thy God.
യഹോവ നിന്നെ ഇസ്രായേലിനു ഭരണാധിപനാക്കിത്തീർക്കുമ്പോൾ, നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ ന്യായപ്രമാണം അനുസരിക്കാൻ തക്കവണ്ണം അവിടന്നു നിനക്കു വിവേകവും പരിജ്ഞാനവും പ്രദാനം ചെയ്യട്ടെ!
13 Then, shalt thou prosper, if thou take heed to do the statutes and the regulations, which Yahweh commanded Moses, concerning Israel, —be strong and bold, thou mayst not be in fear, nor be dismayed.
യഹോവ ഇസ്രായേലിനുവേണ്ടി മോശയ്ക്കു നൽകിയ വിധികളും നിയമങ്ങളും ശ്രദ്ധയോടെ നീ പ്രമാണിച്ചാൽ നിനക്കു വിജയം ലഭിക്കും. ശക്തനും ധീരനും ആയിരിക്കുക! ഭീരുവോ ധൈര്യഹീനനോ ആകരുത്.
14 Lo! then, in my humiliation, have I prepared for the house of Yahweh, of gold a hundred thousand talents, and of silver a thousand thousand talents, and, as for bronze and iron, without weight, for, an abundance, hath it become, —timber also and stone, have I prepared, and, thereunto, thou canst add.
“യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിനുവേണ്ടി ഒരുലക്ഷം താലന്തു സ്വർണവും പത്തുലക്ഷം താലന്തു വെള്ളിയും തൂക്കം തിട്ടപ്പെടുത്താൻ കഴിയാത്തത്ര വെങ്കലവും ഇരുമ്പും ധാരാളം തടിയും കല്ലും ഞാൻ സംഭരിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്; അതിനുവേണ്ടി ഞാൻ വളരെ ക്ലേശം സഹിച്ചിട്ടുമുണ്ട്. ഇനിയും വേണ്ടതുകൂടി നിനക്കു സംഭരിക്കാമല്ലോ.
15 And, with thee, in abundance, are workmen, hewers and carvers of stone and wood, —and every sort of wise man, in all manner of work:
നിന്റെ സ്വാധീനത്തിൽ കല്ലുവെട്ടുകാരും കൽപ്പണിക്കാരും മരപ്പണിക്കാരും അതുപോലെതന്നെ ഓരോ തൊഴിലിലും വൈദഗ്ദ്ധ്യമുള്ള ആളുകളും ഉണ്ടല്ലോ.
16 for gold and for silver and for bronze and for iron, without number. Arise and do, and Yahweh be with thee!
സ്വർണവും വെള്ളിയും വെങ്കലവും ഇരുമ്പുംകൊണ്ടു പണിയുന്ന കരകൗശലവേലക്കാരും നിനക്കു സംഖ്യാതീതമായുണ്ട്. ഇപ്പോൾത്തന്നെ പണി തുടങ്ങുക. യഹോവ നിന്നോടുകൂടെ ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കട്ടെ!”
17 And David charged all the rulers of Israel, to help Solomon his son: —
തന്റെ മകനായ ശലോമോനെ സഹായിക്കാൻ ദാവീദ് ഇസ്രായേലിലെ സകലപ്രഭുക്കന്മാരോടും കൽപ്പിച്ചു.
18 Is not, Yahweh your God, with you? and hath he not given you rest on every side? for he hath given into my hand, the inhabitants of the land, and subdued is the land before Yahweh, and before his people.
അദ്ദേഹം അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞു: “നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിങ്ങളുടെകൂടെ ഉണ്ടല്ലോ! എല്ലാ രംഗത്തും അവിടന്ന് നിങ്ങൾക്കു വിശ്രമം നൽകിയിട്ടുമുണ്ടല്ലോ! അവിടന്ന് ദേശത്തിലെ പൂർവനിവാസികളെ എന്റെ കൈയിൽ ഏൽപ്പിച്ചു. ദേശം ഇന്ന് യഹോവയ്ക്കും അവിടത്തെ ജനത്തിനും അധീനമായിരിക്കുന്നു.
19 Now, apply your heart and your soul, to seek unto Yahweh your God, —and then arise ye and build the sanctuary of Yahweh Elohim, that ye may bring the ark of the covenant of Yahweh, and the holy vessels of God, into the house which hath been built for the Name of Yahweh.
ഇപ്പോൾ നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയെ അന്വേഷിക്കുന്നതിന് നിങ്ങളുടെ ഹൃദയങ്ങളെയും ആത്മാവിനെയും സമർപ്പിക്കുക! ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരം പണിയാൻ തുടങ്ങുക; യഹോവയുടെ ഉടമ്പടിയുടെ പേടകവും നമ്മുടെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ മറ്റു വിശുദ്ധവസ്തുക്കളും യഹോവയുടെ നാമത്തിനുവേണ്ടി പണിയപ്പെടുന്ന ആലയത്തിലേക്കു കൊണ്ടുവരാൻ നിങ്ങൾക്കു കഴിയട്ടെ.”
