1 Chronicles 11
1 Then did all Israel gather themselves together to David, unto Hebron, saying, —Lo! thy bone and thy flesh, are we.
Τότε συνήχθη πας ο Ισραήλ προς τον Δαβίδ εις Χεβρών, λέγοντες, Ιδού, οστούν σου και σαρξ σου είμεθα.
2 Moreover also, in time past even when Saul was king, thou, wast he that led out and brought in Israel, —and Yahweh thy God said unto thee, Thou, shalt shepherd my people Israel, Yea, thou, shalt be chief ruler, over my people Israel.
Και πρότερον έτι και ότε εβασίλευεν ο Σαούλ, συ ήσο ο εξάγων και εισάγων τον Ισραήλ· και προς σε είπε Κύριος ο Θεός σου, συ θέλεις ποιμάνει τον λαόν μου τον Ισραήλ, και συ θέλεις είσθαι ηγεμών επί τον λαόν μου τον Ισραήλ.
3 Thus came all the elders of Israel unto the king, to Hebron, and David solemnised to them a covenant in Hebron, before Yahweh, —and they anointed David to be king over Israel, according to the word of Yahweh, through Samuel.
Και ήλθον πάντες οι πρεσβύτεροι του Ισραήλ προς τον βασιλέα εις Χεβρών· και έκαμεν ο Δαβίδ συνθήκην μετ' αυτών εν Χεβρών ενώπιον του Κυρίου· και έχρισαν τον Δαβίδ βασιλέα επί τον Ισραήλ, κατά τον λόγον του Κυρίου τον λαληθέντα διά του Σαμουήλ.
4 Then went David and all Israel to Jerusalem, the same, was Jebus, —where were the Jebusites, the inhabitants of the land.
Και υπήγον ο Δαβίδ και πας ο Ισραήλ εις Ιερουσαλήμ, ήτις είναι η Ιεβούς, όπου ήσαν οι Ιεβουσαίοι, οι κατοικούντες την γην.
5 And the inhabitants of Jebus said unto David, Thou shalt not come in hither, —But David captured the citadel of Zion, the same, is the city of David.
Και οι κάτοικοι της Ιεβούς είπον προς τον Δαβίδ, Δεν θέλεις εισέλθει ενταύθα. Αλλ' ο Δαβίδ εκυρίευσε το φρούριον Σιών, ήτις είναι η πόλις Δαβίδ.
6 And David said, Whosoever smiteth the Jebusites, first, shall become a chief, and a ruler, —So then Joab son of Zeruiah, went up first, and became a chief.
Και είπεν ο Δαβίδ, Όστις πρώτος πατάξη τους Ιεβουσαίους, θέλει είσθαι αρχηγός και στρατηγός. Πρώτος δε ανέβη ο Ιωάβ, ο υιός της Σερουΐας, και έγεινεν αρχηγός.
7 And David dwelt in the citadel, —for this cause, did they call it, The City of David.
Και κατώκησεν ο Δαβίδ εν τω φρουρίω· όθεν ωνόμασαν αυτήν πόλιν Δαβίδ.
8 And he built the city round about, from Millo even as far as the circuit, —but, Joab, suffered the remainder of the city to live.
Και ωκοδόμησε την πόλιν κυκλόθεν από Μιλλώ και κύκλω· και επεσκεύασεν ο Ιωάβ το επίλοιπον της πόλεως.
9 Thus did David wax greater and yet greater, —and, Yahweh of Hosts, was with him.
Και προεχώρει ο Δαβίδ μεγαλυνόμενος· και ο Κύριος των δυνάμεων ήτο μετ αυτού.
10 Now, these, are the chiefs of the heroes, that pertained to David, who held strongly with him in his kingdom, with all Israel, to make him king, —according to the word of Yahweh, concerning Israel.
Ούτοι δε ήσαν οι αρχηγοί των ισχυρών, τους οποίους είχεν ο Δαβίδ, οίτινες ηγωνίσθησαν μετ' αυτού διά την βασιλείαν αυτού, μετά παντός του Ισραήλ, διά να κάμωσιν αυτόν βασιλέα, κατά τον λόγον του Κυρίου τον περί του Ισραήλ.
11 And, this, is the number of the heroes who pertained to David, —Jashobeam son of a Hachmonite, chief of the thirty, the same, brandished his spear over three hundred—slain at one time.
Και ούτος είναι ο αριθμός των ισχυρών τους οποίους είχεν ο Δαβίδ· Ιασωβεάμ ο υιός του Αχμονί, πρώτος των οπλαρχηγών. Ούτος σείων την λόγχην αυτού εναντίον τριακοσίων, εθανάτωσεν αυτούς εν μιά μάχη.
12 And, after him, was Eleazar son of Dodai, the Ahohite, —he, was among the three heroes;
Και μετ' αυτόν Ελεάζαρ ο υιός του Δωδώ· ο Αχωχίτης, όστις ήτο εις εκ των τριών ισχυρών.
13 he, was with David in Pas-dammim, where, the Philistines, were gathered together to battle, and there was a field-plot full of barley, —and, the people, fled, from before the Philistines;
Ούτος ήτο μετά του Δαβίδ εν Φασ-δαμμείμ, και οι Φιλισταίοι συνηθροίσθησαν εκεί διά πόλεμον, όπου ήτο μερίδιον αγρού πλήρες κριθής· ο δε λαός έφυγεν από προσώπου των Φιλισταίων.
14 so they took their stand in the midst of the plot and rescued it, and smote the Philistines, —and Yahweh wrought a great victory.
Και ούτοι εστηλώθησαν εν τω μέσω του μεριδίου και ηλευθέρωσαν αυτό και επάταξαν τους Φιλισταίους· και ο Κύριος έκαμε σωτηρίαν μεγάλην.
15 And three of the thirty chiefs went down upon the rock, unto David, into the cave of Adullam, —a host of Philistines, being encamped in the vale of Rephaim.
Κατέβησαν έτι τρεις εκ των τριάκοντα αρχηγών εις την πέτραν προς τον Δαβίδ, εις το σπήλαιον Οδολλάμ· το δε στρατόπεδον των Φιλισταίων εστρατοπέδευεν εν τη κοιλάδι Ραφαείμ.
16 Now, David, then was in the stronghold, —and, a garrison of Philistines, then was in Bethlehem.
Και ο Δαβίδ ήτο τότε εν τω οχυρώματι και η φρουρά των Φιλισταίων τότε ο εν Βηθλεέμ.
17 And David longed, and said—Who will give me to drink of the water, out of the well of Bethlehem, that is within the gate?
Και επεπόθησεν ο Δαβίδ ύδωρ και είπε, Τις ήθελε μοι δώσει να πίω ύδωρ εκ του φρέατος της Βηθλεέμ, του εν τη πύλη;
18 And the three brake through the host of the Philistines, and drew water out of the well of Bethlehem, that was within the gate, and bare it, and brought it in unto David, —yet would not David drink it, but poured it out unto Yahweh;
Και οι τρεις διασχίσαντες το στρατόπεδον των Φιλισταίων, ήντλησαν ύδωρ εκ του φρέατος της Βηθλεέμ του εν τη πύλη, και λαβόντες έφεραν προς τον Δαβίδ· πλην ο Δαβίδ δεν ηθέλησε να πίη αυτό, αλλ' έκαμεν αυτό σπονδήν εις τον Κύριον,
19 and said—Far be it from me, of my God, that I should do this! The blood of these men, shall I drink, with their lives? For, with their lives, have they brought it! So he would not drink it. These things, did the three heroes.
λέγων, Μη γένοιτο εις εμέ παρά του Θεού μου να κάμω τούτο· θέλω πίει το αίμα των ανδρών τούτων, οίτινες εξέθεσαν την ζωήν αυτών εις κίνδυνον; διότι μετά κινδύνου της ζωής αυτών έφεραν αυτό. Διά τούτο δεν ηθέλησε να πίη αυτό· ταύτα έκαμον οι τρεις ισχυροί.
20 And, Abishai brother of Joab—he, was the chief of three, he, having brandished his spear against three hundred—who were slain, —and so, he, had a name among three.
Και Αβισαί ο αδελφός του Ιωάβ, ούτος ήτο πρώτος των τριών· και ούτος σείων την λόγχην αυτού εναντίον τριακοσίων, εθανάτωσεν αυτούς και απέκτησεν όνομα μεταξύ των τριών.
21 Of the three in the second rank, was he honourable, therefore became he their captain, —though, unto the [first] three, did he not attain.
Εκ των τριών, ήτο ενδοξότερος υπέρ τους δύο και έγεινεν αρχηγός αυτών· δεν έφθασεν όμως μέχρι των τριών πρώτων.
22 Benaiah, son of Jehoiada, son of a man of valour, hero of many a deed, from Kabziel—he, smote the two [sons] of Ariel of Moab, he, also went down and smote a lion in the midst of a pit, in time of snow;
Βεναΐας ο υιός του Ιωδαέ, ο υιός ανδρός δυνατού από Καβσεήλ, όστις έκαμε πολλά ανδραγαθήματα, ούτος επάταξε τους δύο λεοντώδεις άνδρας του Μωάβ· ούτος έτι κατέβη και επάταξε λέοντα εν μέσω του λάκκου εν ημέρα χιόνος·
23 he, also smote an Egyptian, a man of [great] stature, five cubits, and, in the hand of the Egyptian, was a spear like a weaver’s beam, so he went down unto him with a staff, —and wrested the spear out of the hand of the Egyptian, and slew him with his spear.
ούτος έτι επάταξε τον άνδρα τον Αιγύπτιον, άνδρα μεγάλου αναστήματος, πεντάπηχον· και εν τη χειρί του Αιγυπτίου ήτο λόγχη ως αντίον υφαντού· κατέβη δε προς αυτόν με ράβδον, και αρπάσας την λόγχην εκ της χειρός του Αιγυπτίου εθανάτωσεν αυτόν διά της ιδίας αυτού λόγχης·
24 These things, did Benaiah son of Jehoiada, so, he, had a name among three heroes.
ταύτα έκαμε Βεναΐας ο υιός του Ιωδαέ, και απέκτησεν όνομα μεταξύ των τριών ισχυρών·
25 Among the thirty, lo! honourable, was he, but, unto the [first] three, did he not attain, —howbeit David set him over his council.
ιδού, αυτός εστάθη ενδοξότερος των τριάκοντα, δεν έφθασεν όμως μέχρι των τριών πρώτων· και κατέστησεν αυτόν ο Δαβίδ επί των δορυφόρων αυτού.
26 Now, the heroes of the forces, were, —Asahel, brother of Joab, Elhanan, son of Dodo, of Bethlehem;
Και οι ισχυροί των στρατευμάτων ήσαν Ασαήλ ο αδελφός του Ιωάβ, Ελχανάν ο υιός του Δωδώ εκ της Βηθλεέμ,
27 Shammoth, the Harorite, Helez the Paltite;
Σαμμώθ ο Αρουρίτης, Χελής ο Φελωνίτης,
28 Ira, son of Ikkesh, the Tekoite, Abiezer, the Anathothite;
Ιράς ο υιός του Ικκής ο Θεκωΐτης, Αβιέζερ ο Αναθωθίτης,
29 Sibbecai, the Hushathite, Ilai, the Ahohite;
Σιββεχαΐ ο Χουσαθίτης, Ιλαΐ ο Αχωχίτης,
30 Maharai, the Netophathite, Heled, son of Baanah, the Netophathite;
Μααραΐ ο Νετωφαθίτης, Χελέδ ο υιός του Βαανά Νετωφαθίτης,
31 Ithai, son of Ribai, of Gibeah, of the sons of Benjamin, —Benaiah, the Pirathonite;
Ιτθαΐ ο υιός του Ριβαί εκ της Γαβαά των υιών Βενιαμίν, Βεναΐας ο Πιραθωνίτης,
32 Hurai, of the torrents of Gaash, Abiel the Arbathite;
Ουραί εκ των κοιλάδων Γαάς, Αβιήλ ο Αρβαθίτης,
33 Azmaveth, the Baharumite, Eliahba, the Shaalbonite;
Αζμαβέθ ο Βααρουμίτης, Ελιαβά ο Σααλβωνίτης,
34 the sons of Hashem, the Gizonite, Jonathan, son of Shageh, the Hararite;
οι υιοί του Ασήμ του Γιζονίτου, Ιωνάθαν ο υιός του Σαγή ο Αραρίτης,
35 Ahiam, son of Sacar, the Hararite, Eliphal, son of Ur;
Αχιάμ υιός του Σαχάρ ο Αραρίτης, Ελιφάλ υιός του Ουρ,
36 Hepher, the Mecherathite, Ahijah the Pelonite;
Εφέρ ο Μεχηραθίτης, Αχιά ο Φελωνίτης,
37 Hezro, the Carmelite, Naarai, son of Ezbai;
Εσρώ ο Καρμηλίτης, Νααραί ο υιός του Εσβαί,
38 Joel, brother of Nathan, Mibhar son of Hagri;
Ιωήλ ο αδελφός του Νάθαν, Μιβάρ ο υιός του Αγηρί,
39 Zelek, the Ammonite, —Naharai, the Berothite, the armour-bearer of Joab son of Zeruiah;
Σελέκ ο Αμμωνίτης, Νααραί ο Βηρωθαίος, ο οπλοφόρος του Ιωάβ υιού της Σερουΐας,
40 Ira, the Ithrite, Gareb, the Ithrite;
Ιράς ο Ιεθρίτης, Γαρήβ Ιεθρίτης,
41 Uriah, the Hittite, Zabad son of Ahlai;
Ουρίας ο Χετταίος, Ζαβάδ ο υιός του Ααλαί,
42 Adina, son of Shiza, the Reubenite, a chief of the Reubenites and over the thirty;
Αδινά ο υιός του Σιζά του Ρουβηνίτου, άρχων των Ρουβηνιτών, και τριάκοντα μετ' αυτού,
43 Hanan, son of Maacah, and Joshaphat, the Mithnite;
Ανάν ο υιός του Μααχά και Ιωσαφάτ ο Μιθνίτης,
44 Uzzia, the Ashterathite, —Shama, and Jeiel, sons of Hotham, the Aroerite;
Οζίας ο Αστερωθίτης, Σαμά και Ιεχιήλ οι υιοί του Χωθάν του Αροηρίτου,
45 Jediael, son of Shimri, and Joha, his brother, the Tizite;
Ιεδιαήλ ο υιός του Σιμρί και Ιωχά αδελφός αυτού ο Θισίτης,
46 Eliel, the Mahavite, and Jeribai and Joshaviah, sons of Elnaam, —and Ithmah the Moabite;
Ελιήλ ο Μααβίτης και Ιεριβαί και Ιωσαυϊά, οι υιοί του Ελναάμ, και Ιεθεμά ο Μωαβίτης,
47 Eliel, and Obed, and Jaasiel, of Zobah.
Ελιήλ και Ωβήδ και Ιασιήλ ο Μεσωβαΐτης.
