Revelation 19
1 After these things I heard as it were a great voice of a great multitude in heaven, saying, Hallelujah; Salvation, and glory, and power, belong to our God:
Darauf vernahm ich ein lautes Rufen einer großen Schar, die im Himmel rief: "Alleluja! Das Heil, die Herrlichkeit und Macht gehören unserem Gott.
2 for true and righteous are his judgments; for he hath judged the great harlot, which did corrupt the earth with her fornication, and he hath avenged the blood of his servants at her hand.
Wahrhaftig und gerecht sind seine Gerichte. Er hat die große Hure gerichtet, die die Erde mit ihrer Hurerei verdorben hat; gerächt hat er das Blut seiner Knechte, das sie vergossen hat."
Nochmals rufen sie: "Alleluja! Ihr Rauch steigt auf von Ewigkeit zu Ewigkeiten!" (aiōn g165)
4 And the four and twenty elders and the four living creatures fell down and worshipped God that sitteth on the throne, saying, Amen; Hallelujah.
Da fielen jene vierundzwanzig Ältesten und die vier Lebewesen nieder; sie beteten Gott an, der auf dem Throne saß, und sprachen: "Amen! Alleluja!"
5 And a voice came forth from the throne, saying, Give praise to our God, all ye his servants, ye that fear him, the small and the great.
Und vom Throne ging eine Stimme aus, die sprach: "Lobt unseren Gott, ihr alle seine Knechte, die ihr ihn fürchtet, ihr Kleinen und die Großen!"
6 And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunders, saying, Hallelujah: for the Lord our God, the Almighty, reigneth.
Da hörte ich etwas wie das Rufen einer großen Menge und wie das Tosen vieler Wasser und wie das Rollen fürchterlicher Donner; sie riefen: "Alleluja! König ward unser Herr und Gott, der Allbeherrscher.
7 Let us rejoice and be exceeding glad, and let us give the glory unto him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.
Laßt uns frohlocken und uns freuen und ihm die Ehre geben. Gekommen ist die Hochzeit des Lammes, und seine Braut hat sich bereit gemacht;
8 And it was given unto her that she should array herself in fine linen, bright [and] pure: for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints.
sie durfte sich in glänzend reines Linnen kleiden." Das Linnen deutet auf die gerechten Werke der Heiligen hin.
9 And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are bidden to the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are true words of God.
Alsdann sprach er zu mir: "Schreibe: Selig, die zu dem Hochzeitsmahl des Lammes geladen sind." Er fügt noch hinzu. "Das sind die wahren Worte Gottes."
10 And I fell down before his feet to worship him. And he saith unto me, See thou do it not: I am a fellow-servant with thee and with thy brethren that hold the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.
Da fiel ich ihm zu Füßen nieder, ihn anzubeten. Er aber sprach zu mir: "Tu es nicht; ich bin ja nur dein Mitknecht und der deiner Brüder, die das Zeugnis Jesu haben. Gott bete an!" Das Zeugnis Jesu ist der Geist der Weissagung.
11 And I saw the heaven opened; and behold, a white horse, and he that sat thereon, called Faithful and True; and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.
Ich sah den Himmel offen, und siehe, da war ein weißes Roß. Sein Reiter heißt "der Treue und Wahrhaftige"; er richtet und streitet in Gerechtigkeit.
12 And his eyes [are] a flame of fire, and upon his head [are] many diadems; and he hath a name written, which no one knoweth but he himself.
Seine Augen sind loderndes Feuer; auf seinem Haupte waren viele Kronen; er hatte einen Namen darauf geschrieben, den niemand kennt als er allein.
13 And he [is] arrayed in a garment sprinkled with blood: and his name is called The Word of God.
Er war mit einem blutgetränkten Mantel angetan. Sein Name ist "Das Wort Gottes".
14 And the armies which are in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white [and] pure.
Auf weißen Rossen folgten ihm die Scharen des Himmels, mit glänzend weißen Linnen angetan.
15 And out of his mouth proceedeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness of the wrath of Almighty God.
Aus seinem Munde geht ein scharfes Schwert hervor, damit er mit ihm die Völker schlage. Er selbst wird sie mit Eisenzepter weiden, und er selbst wird die Kelter des Zornweins Gottes, des Allbeherrschers, treten.
16 And he hath on his garment and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.
Auf seinem Mantel, und zwar an der Hüfte, trug er den Namen angeschrieben: "König der Könige und Herr der Herren."
17 And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the birds that fly in mid heaven, Come [and] be gathered together unto the great supper of God;
Dann sah ich einen Engel in der Sonne stehen; er rief mit lauter Stimme allen Vögeln zu, die durch den Himmelsraum hoch oben hinfliegen: "Kommt, sammelt euch zum großen Gottesmahl!
18 that ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses and of them that sit thereon, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, and small and great.
Ihr sollt Fleisch von Königen fressen, Fleisch von Heerführern und Mächtigen, Fleisch von Rossen und von ihren Reitern, Fleisch von allen Freien und von Sklaven, der Kleinen und der Großen."
19 And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat upon the horse, and against his army.
Ich sah das Tier, die Könige der Erde und ihre Heere versammelt, um Krieg zu führen mit dem Reiter und mit seinem Heere.
20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought the signs in his sight, wherewith he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image: they twain were cast alive into the lake of fire that burneth with brimstone: (Limnē Pyr g3041 g4442)
Da ward das Tier und der Prophet der Lüge, der bei ihm war, gefangen - es ist derselbe, der in seiner Kraft die Wunderzeichen tat, durch die er die verführte, die das Zeichen des Tieres an sich trugen und dessen Bild anbeteten -; lebendig wurden beide in den Feuerpfuhl geworfen, der von Schwefel brennt. 21 and the rest were killed with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, [even the sword] which came forth out of his mouth: and all the birds were filled with their flesh.
Die anderen wurden getötet durch das Schwert des Reiters auf dem Rosse, das aus seinem Munde hervorgeht. Und all die Vögel sättigten sich an ihrem Fleische.
