Psalms 96

1 O SING unto the LORD a new song: sing unto the LORD, all the earth.

Singet Jehova ein neues Lied, singet Jehova, ganze Erde!

2 Sing unto the LORD, bless his name; shew forth his salvation from day to day.

Singet Jehova, preiset seinen Namen, verkündet von Tag zu Tag seine Rettung!

3 Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous works among all the peoples.

Erzählet unter den Nationen seine Herrlichkeit, unter allen Völkern seine Wundertaten!

4 For great is the LORD, and highly to be praised: he is to be feared above all gods.

Denn groß ist Jehova und sehr zu loben, furchtbar ist er über alle Götter.

5 For all the gods of the peoples are idols: but the LORD made the heavens.

Denn alle Götter der Völker sind Nichtigkeiten, aber Jehova hat die Himmel gemacht.

6 Honour and majesty are before him: strength and beauty are in his sanctuary.

Majestät und Pracht sind vor seinem Angesicht, Stärke und Herrlichkeit in seinem Heiligtum.

7 Give unto the LORD, ye kindreds of the peoples, give unto the LORD glory and strength.

Gebet Jehova, ihr Völkerstämme, gebet Jehova Herrlichkeit und Stärke!

8 Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name: bring an offering, and come into his courts.

Gebet Jehova die Herrlichkeit seines Namens; bringet eine Opfergabe und kommet in seine Vorhöfe!

9 O worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness: tremble before him, all the earth.

Betet Jehova an in heiliger Pracht! Erzittert vor ihm, ganze Erde!

10 Say among the nations, The LORD reigneth: the world also is stablished that it cannot be moved: he shall judge the peoples with equity.

Saget unter den Nationen: Jehova regiert! Auch steht der Erdkreis fest, er wird nicht wanken. Er wird die Völker richten in Geradheit.

11 Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice; let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof;

Es freue sich der Himmel, und es frohlocke die Erde! Es brause das Meer und seine Fülle!

12 Let the field exult, and all that is therein; then shall all the trees of the wood sing for joy;

Es frohlocke das Gefilde und alles, was darauf ist! Dann werden jubeln alle Bäume des Waldes-

13 Before the LORD, for he cometh; for he cometh to judge the earth: he shall judge the world with righteousness, and the peoples with his truth.

vor Jehova; denn er kommt, denn er kommt, die Erde zu richten: er wird den Erdkreis richten in Gerechtigkeit, und die Völker in seiner Treue.
