Psalms 70

1 For the Chief Musician. [A Psalm] of David; to bring to remembrance. [Make haste], O God, to deliver me; make haste to help me, O LORD.

Memorial de Davi, para o regente: Livra-me Deus; apressa-te para me socorrer, SENHOR.

2 Let them be ashamed and confounded that seek after my soul: let them be turned backward and brought to dishonour that delight in my hurt.

Envergonhem-se, e sejam confundidos os que procuram [matar] a minha alma; voltem-se para trás, e sejam humilhados os que gostam de me fazer o mal.

3 Let them be turned back by reason of their shame that say, Aha, Aha.

Virem-se para trás por causa de sua vergonha os que dizem: “Há, há!”

4 Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee; and let such as love thy salvation say continually, Let God be magnified.

Alegrem-se e fiquem contentes em ti todos aqueles que te buscam; aqueles que amam tua salvação digam continuamente: Engrandecido seja Deus!

5 But I am poor and needy; make haste unto me, O God: thou art my help and my deliverer; O LORD, make no tarrying.

Eu, porém, estou miserável e necessitado; ó Deus, apressa-te a mim; tu [és] meu socorro e meu libertador; não demores, SENHOR.
