Psalms 58
1 For the Chief Musician; [set to] Al-tashheth. [A Psalm] of David: Michtam. Do ye indeed in silence speak righteousness? do ye judge uprightly, O ye sons of men?
૧મુખ્ય ગવૈયાને માટે; રાગ આલ-તાશ્ખેથ. દાઉદનું સોનેરી ગીત. શું તમે ખરેખર ન્યાયીપણાથી બોલો છો? હે માણસોના દીકરાઓ, શું તમે અદલ ઇનસાફ કરો છો?
2 Yea, in heart ye work wickedness; ye weigh out the violence of your hands in the earth.
૨ના, તમે તમારા મનમાં દુષ્ટતા યોજો છો; પૃથ્વી પર તમે તમારા હાથથી જુલમ તોળી આપો છો.
3 The wicked are estranged from the womb: they go astray as soon as they be born, speaking lies.
૩દુષ્ટો જન્મથી જ ખોટા માર્ગે વળી ગયેલા હોય છે; તેઓ જન્મે છે કે તરત જ જૂઠું બોલે છે અને ખોટે રસ્તે ચઢી જાય છે.
4 Their poison is like the poison of a serpent: [they are] like the deaf adder that stoppeth her ear;
૪તેઓનું વિષ સાપના વિષ જેવું છે; તેઓ કાન બંધ કરી રાખનાર બહેરા સાપ જેવા છે.
5 Which hearkeneth not to the voice of charmers, charming never so wisely.
૫કે જે ઘણી જ ચાલાકીથી મોરલી વગાડનાર મદારીનો પણ અવાજ સાંભળતો નથી.
6 Break their teeth, O God, in their mouth: break out the great teeth of the young lions, O LORD.
૬હે ઈશ્વર, તમે તેઓના દાંત તોડી નાખો; હે યહોવાહ, તમે યુવાન સિંહોના મોટા દાંત તોડી પાડો.
7 Let them melt away as water that runneth apace: when he aimeth his arrows, let them be as though they were cut off.
૭તેઓ ઝડપથી વહેતા પાણીની જેમ વહી જાઓ; જ્યારે તેઓ પોતાનાં બાણ તાકે, ત્યારે તેઓ બૂઠાં થઈ જાઓ.
8 [Let them be] as a snail which melteth and passeth away: [like] the untimely birth of a woman, that hath not seen the sun.
૮ગોકળગાય જે ચાલતા ચાલતા પીગળી જાય છે તેના જેવા અથવા જેણે સૂર્ય જોયો નથી, એવા સ્ત્રીને અધૂરે ગયેલા ગર્ભ જેવા તેઓ થાઓ.
9 Before your pots can feel the thorns, he shall take them away with a whirlwind, the green and the burning alike.
૯તમારા હાંલ્લાંને કાંટાનો તાપ લાગે તે પહેલાં, પછી તે લીલા હોય કે સૂકા હોય, તો પણ, તેમને વંટોળિયો ઘસડી લઈ જશે.
10 The righteous shall rejoice when he seeth the vengeance: he shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked.
૧૦જ્યારે તે ઈશ્વરનો બદલો જોશે, ત્યારે ન્યાયી માણસ હરખાશે; તે દુષ્ટોના લોહીમાં પોતાના પગ ધોશે,
11 So that men shall say, Verily there is a reward for the righteous: verily there is a God that judgeth in the earth.
૧૧કે જેથી માણસો કહેશે કે, “ન્યાયી માણસને ચોક્કસ બદલો મળશે; નિશ્ચે પૃથ્વીમાં ન્યાય કરનાર ઈશ્વર છે.”
