Psalms 31
1 For the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. In thee, O LORD, do I put my trust; let me never be ashamed: deliver me in thy righteousness.
Para o músico chefe. Um Salmo de David. Em você, Yahweh, eu me refugio. Que eu nunca fique desapontado. Entregai-me em vossa retidão.
2 Bow down thine ear unto me; deliver me speedily: be thou to me a strong rock, an house of defence to save me.
Bow ao seu ouvido para mim. Entregue-me rapidamente. Seja para mim uma rocha forte, uma casa de defesa para me salvar.
3 For thou art my rock and my fortress; therefore for thy name’s sake lead me and guide me.
Pois você é meu rochedo e minha fortaleza, portanto, em nome de seu nome, me conduza e me guie.
4 Pluck me out of the net that they have laid privily for me; for thou art my strong hold.
Pluck me fora da rede que eles colocaram em segredo para mim, pois você é meu refúgio.
5 Into thine hand I commend my spirit: thou hast redeemed me, O LORD, thou God of truth.
Em sua mão eu elogio meu espírito. Você me redime, Yahweh, Deus da verdade.
6 I hate them that regard lying vanities: but I trust in the LORD.
Eu odeio aqueles que consideram vaidades mentirosas, mas confio em Yahweh.
7 I will be glad and rejoice in thy mercy: for thou hast seen my affliction; thou hast known my soul in adversities:
Ficarei feliz e me regozijarei com sua bondade amorosa, pois vocês viram a minha aflição. Vocês conheceram minha alma nas adversidades.
8 And thou hast not shut me up into the hand of the enemy; thou hast set my feet in a large place.
Você não me calou na mão do inimigo. Você colocou meus pés em um lugar grande.
9 Have mercy upon me, O LORD, for I am in distress: mine eye wasteth away with grief, [yea], my soul and my body.
Tenha piedade de mim, Yahweh, pois estou em perigo. Meu olho, minha alma e meu corpo se perdem com a dor.
10 For my life is spent with sorrow, and my years with sighing: my strength faileth because of mine iniquity, and my bones are wasted away.
Pois minha vida é passada com tristeza, meus anos com suspiros. Minha força falha por causa de minha iniqüidade. Meus ossos estão desperdiçados.
11 Because of all mine adversaries I am become a reproach, yea, unto my neighbours exceedingly, and a fear to mine acquaintance: they that did see me without fled from me.
Por causa de todos os meus adversários, tornei-me totalmente desprezível para meus vizinhos, um horror para meus conhecidos. Aqueles que me viram na rua fugiram de mim.
12 I am forgotten as a dead man out of mind: I am like a broken vessel.
Sou esquecido de seus corações como um homem morto. Eu sou como uma cerâmica quebrada.
13 For I have heard the defaming of many, terror on every side: while they took counsel together against me, they devised to take away my life.
Pois ouvi a calúnia de muitos, o terror de todos os lados, enquanto eles conspiram juntos contra mim, eles conspiram para tirar minha vida.
14 But I trusted in thee, O LORD: I said, Thou art my God.
Mas confio em você, Yahweh. Eu disse: “Você é meu Deus”.
15 My times are in thy hand: deliver me from the hand of mine enemies, and from them that persecute me.
Meus tempos estão em suas mãos. Livrem-me das mãos de meus inimigos e daqueles que me perseguem.
16 Make thy face to shine upon thy servant: save me in thy lovingkindness.
Faça seu rosto brilhar no seu criado. Salve-me em sua bondade amorosa.
17 Let me not he ashamed, O LORD; for I have called upon thee: let the wicked be ashamed, let them be silent in Sheol. (Sheol h7585)
Let não me decepcione, Yahweh, pois eu o invoquei. Que os malvados fiquem desapontados. Que fiquem em silêncio no Sheol. (Sheol h7585)
18 Let the lying lips be dumb; which speak against the righteous insolently, with pride and contempt.
Que os lábios mentirosos fiquem mudos, que falam contra os justos de forma insolente, com orgulho e desprezo.
19 Oh how great is thy goodness, which thou hast laid up for them that fear thee, which thou hast wrought for them that put their trust in thee, before the sons of men!
Oh como é grande sua bondade, que você colocou para aqueles que o temem, que você tem trabalhado para aqueles que se refugiam em você, perante os filhos dos homens!
20 In the covert of thy presence shalt thou hide them from the plottings of man: thou shalt keep them secretly in a pavilion from the strife of tongues.
No abrigo de sua presença, você os esconderá da conspiração do homem. Você os manterá em segredo em uma morada longe da luta de línguas.
21 Blessed be the LORD: for he hath shewed me his marvelous lovingkindness in a strong city.
Praise be to Yahweh, pois ele me mostrou sua maravilhosa gentileza amorosa em uma cidade forte.
22 As for me, I said in my haste, I am cut off from before thine eyes: nevertheless thou heardest the voice of my supplications when I cried unto thee.
Quanto a mim, eu disse na minha pressa: “Estou cortado de diante de seus olhos”. No entanto, vocês ouviram a voz das minhas petições quando eu chorei para vocês.
23 O love the LORD, all ye his saints: the LORD preserveth the faithful, and plentifully rewardeth the proud doer.
Oh amam Yahweh, todos vocês seus santos! Yahweh preserva os fiéis, e recompensa totalmente aquele que se comporta de forma arrogante.
24 Be strong, and let your heart take courage, all ye that hope in the LORD.
Seja forte, e deixe seu coração tomar coragem, todos vocês que esperam em Yahweh.
