Psalms 25
1 [A Psalm] of David. Unto thee, O LORD, do I lift up my soul.
A ti, Senhor, levanto a minha alma.
2 O my God, in thee have I trusted, let me not be ashamed; let not mine enemies triumph over me.
Deus meu, em ti confio, não me deixes confundido, nem que os meus inimigos triumphem sobre mim.
3 Yea, none that wait on thee shall be ashamed: they shall be ashamed that deal treacherously without cause.
Como, na verdade, não serão confundidos os que esperam em ti; confundidos serão os que transgridem sem causa.
4 Shew me thy ways, O LORD; teach me thy paths.
Faz-me saber os teus caminhos, Senhor; ensina-me as tuas veredas.
5 Guide me in thy truth, and teach me; for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.
Guia-me na tua verdade, e ensina-me, pois tu és o Deus da minha salvação; por ti estou esperando todo o dia.
6 Remember, O LORD, thy tender mercies and thy lovingkindnesses; for they have been ever of old.
Lembra-te, Senhor, das tuas misericordias e das tuas benignidades, porque são desde a eternidade.
7 Remember not the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions: according to thy lovingkindness remember thou me, for thy goodness’ sake, O LORD.
Não te lembres dos peccados da minha mocidade, nem das minhas transgressões: mas segundo a tua misericordia, lembra-te de mim, por tua bondade, Senhor.
8 Good and upright is the LORD: therefore will he instruct sinners in the way.
Bom e recto é o Senhor: pelo que ensinará o caminho aos peccadores.
9 The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way.
Guiará os mansos em direitura: e aos mansos ensinará o seu caminho.
10 All the paths of the LORD are lovingkindness and truth unto such as keep his covenant and his testimonies.
Todas as veredas do Senhor são misericordia e verdade para aquelles que guardam o seu concerto e os seus testemunhos.
11 For thy name’s sake, O LORD, pardon mine iniquity, for it is great.
Por amor do teu nome, Senhor, perdoa a minha iniquidade, pois é grande.
12 What man is he that feareth the LORD? him shall he instruct in the way that he shall choose.
Qual é o homem que teme ao Senhor? elle o ensinará no caminho que deve escolher.
13 His soul shall dwell at ease; and his seed shall inherit the land.
A sua alma pousará no bem, e a sua semente herdará a terra.
14 The secret of the LORD is with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant.
O segredo do Senhor é com aquelles que o temem; e elle lhes mostrará o seu concerto.
15 Mine eyes are ever toward the LORD; for he shall pluck my feet out of the net.
Os meus olhos estão continuamente no Senhor, pois elle tirará os meus pés da rede.
16 Turn thee unto me, and have mercy upon me; for I am desolate and afflicted.
Olha para mim, e tem piedade de mim, porque estou solitario e afflicto.
17 The troubles of my heart are enlarged: O bring thou me out of my distresses.
As ancias do meu coração se teem multiplicado: tira-me dos meus apertos.
18 Consider mine affliction and my travail; and forgive all my sins.
Olha para a minha afflicção e para a minha dôr, e perdoa todos os meus peccados.
19 Consider mine enemies, for they are many; and they hate me with cruel hatred.
Olha para os meus inimigos, pois se vão multiplicando e me aborrecem com odio cruel.
20 O keep my soul, and deliver me: let me not be ashamed, for I put my trust in thee.
Guarda a minha alma, e livra-me; não me deixes confundido, porquanto confio em ti.
21 Let integrity and uprightness preserve me, for I wait on thee.
Guardem-me a sinceridade e a direitura, porquanto espero em ti.
22 Redeem Israel, O God, out of all his troubles.
Redime, ó Deus, a Israel de todas as suas angustias.
