Psalms 149

1 Praise ye the LORD. Sing unto the LORD a new song, and his praise in the assembly of the saints.

主をほめたたえよ。主にむかって新しい歌をうたえ。聖徒のつどいで、主の誉を歌え。

2 Let Israel rejoice in him that made him: let the children of Zion be joyful in their King.

イスラエルにその造り主を喜ばせ、シオンの子らにその王を喜ばせよ。

3 Let them praise his name in the dance: let them sing praises unto him with the timbrel and harp.

彼らに踊りをもって主のみ名をほめたたえさせ、鼓と琴とをもって主をほめ歌わせよ。

4 For the LORD taketh pleasure in his people: he will beautify the meek with salvation.

主はおのが民を喜び、へりくだる者を勝利をもって飾られるからである。

5 Let the saints exult in glory: let them sing for joy upon their beds.

聖徒を栄光によって喜ばせ、その床の上で喜び歌わせよ。

6 [Let] the high praises of God [be] in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand;

そののどには神をあがめる歌があり、その手にはもろ刃のつるぎがある。

7 To execute vengeance upon the nations, and punishments upon the peoples;

これはもろもろの国にあだを返し、もろもろの民を懲らし、

8 To bind their king’s with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron;

彼らの王たちを鎖で縛り、彼らの貴人たちを鉄のかせで縛りつけ、

9 To execute upon them the judgment written: this honour have all his saints. Praise ye the LORD.

しるされたさばきを彼らに行うためである。これはそのすべての聖徒に与えられる誉である。主をほめたたえよ。
