Psalms 145

1 [A Psalm of] praise; of David. I will extol thee, my God, O King; and I will bless thy name for ever and ever.

ダビデのさんびの歌 わが神、王よ、わたしはあなたをあがめ、世々かぎりなくみ名をほめまつります。

2 Every day will I bless thee; and I will praise thy name for ever and ever.

わたしは日ごとにあなたをほめ、世々かぎりなくみ名をほめたたえます。

3 Great is the LORD, and highly to be praised; and his greatness is unsearchable.

主は大いなる神で、大いにほめたたえらるべきです。その大いなることは測り知ることができません。

4 One generation shall laud thy works to another, and shall declare thy mighty acts.

この代はかの代にむかってあなたのみわざをほめたたえ、あなたの大能のはたらきを宣べ伝えるでしょう。

5 Of the glorious majesty of thine honour, and of thy wondrous works, will I meditate.

わたしはあなたの威厳の光栄ある輝きと、あなたのくすしきみわざとを深く思います。

6 And men shall speak of the might of thy terrible acts; and I will declare thy greatness.

人々はあなたの恐るべきはたらきの勢いを語り、わたしはあなたの大いなることを宣べ伝えます。

7 They shall utter the memory of thy great goodness, and shall sing of thy righteousness.

彼らはあなたの豊かな恵みの思い出を言いあらわし、あなたの義を喜び歌うでしょう。

8 The LORD is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy.

主は恵みふかく、あわれみに満ち、怒ることおそく、いつくしみ豊かです。

9 The LORD is good to all; and his tender mercies are over all his works.

主はすべてのものに恵みがあり、そのあわれみはすべてのみわざの上にあります。

10 All thy works shall give thanks unto thee, O LORD; and thy saints shall bless thee.

主よ、あなたのすべてのみわざはあなたに感謝し、あなたの聖徒はあなたをほめまつるでしょう。

11 They shall speak of the glory of thy kingdom, and talk of thy power;

彼らはみ国の栄光を語り、あなたのみ力を宣べ、

12 To make known to the sons of men his mighty acts, and the glory of the majesty of his kingdom.

あなたの大能のはたらきと、み国の光栄ある輝きとを人の子に知らせるでしょう。

13 Thy kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and thy dominion [endureth] throughout all generations.

あなたの国はとこしえの国です。あなたのまつりごとはよろずよに絶えることはありません。

14 The LORD upholdeth all that fall, and raiseth up all those that be bowed down.

主はすべて倒れんとする者をささえ、すべてかがむ者を立たせられます。

15 The eyes of all wait upon thee; and thou givest them their meat in due season.

よろずのものの目はあなたを待ち望んでいます。あなたは時にしたがって彼らに食物を与えられます。

16 Thou openest thine hand, and satisfiest the desire of every living thing.

あなたはみ手を開いて、すべての生けるものの願いを飽かせられます。

17 The LORD is righteous in all his ways, and gracious in all his works.

主はそのすべての道に正しく、そのすべてのみわざに恵みふかく、

18 The LORD is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth.

すべて主を呼ぶ者、誠をもって主を呼ぶ者に主は近いのです。

19 He will fulfill the desire of them that fear him; he also will hear their cry, and will save them.

主はおのれを恐れる者の願いを満たし、またその叫びを聞いてこれを救われます。

20 The LORD preserveth all them that love him; but all the wicked will he destroy.

主はおのれを愛する者をすべて守られるが、悪しき者をことごとく滅ぼされます。

21 My mouth shall speak the praise of the LORD; and let all flesh bless his holy name for ever and ever.

わが口は主の誉を語り、すべての肉なる者は世々かぎりなくその聖なるみ名をほめまつるでしょう。
