Psalms 135

1 Praise ye the LORD. Praise ye the name of the LORD; praise [him], O ye servants of the LORD:

সদাপ্রভুর প্রশংসা করো। সদাপ্রভুর নামের প্রশংসা করো; সদাপ্রভুর সেবকেরা, তাঁর স্তুতিগান করো,

2 Ye that stand in the house of the LORD, in the courts of the house of our God.

তোমরা যারা সদাপ্রভুর গৃহে পরিচর্যা করো, আমাদের ঈশ্বরের গৃহের প্রাঙ্গণে।

3 Praise ye the LORD; for the LORD is good: sing praises unto his name; for it is pleasant.

সদাপ্রভুর প্রশংসা করো কারণ সদাপ্রভু মঙ্গলময়; তাঁর নামের উদ্দেশে স্তুতিগান করো কারণ তা মনোরম।

4 For the LORD hath chosen Jacob unto himself, [and] Israel for his peculiar treasure.

সদাপ্রভু নিজের জন্য যাকোবকে, আর তাঁর অমূল্য সম্পদরূপে ইস্রায়েলকে মনোনীত করেছেন।

5 For I know that the LORD is great, and that our Lord is above all gods.

আমি জানি সদাপ্রভু মহান, আমাদের প্রভু সব দেবতার ঊর্ধ্বে।

6 Whatsoever the LORD pleased, that hath he done, in heaven and in earth, in the seas and in all deeps.

আকাশমণ্ডলে ও পৃথিবীতে, সমুদ্রে ও সমস্ত জলধির মধ্যে, সদাপ্রভুর যা ইচ্ছা তাই করেন।

7 He causeth the vapours to ascend from the ends of the earth; he maketh lightnings for the rain; he bringeth forth the wind out of his treasuries.

তিনি পৃথিবীর প্রান্তদেশ থেকে মেঘ উত্থাপন করেন; তিনি বৃষ্টির সঙ্গে বিদ্যুৎ প্রেরণ করেন, আর তাঁর ভাণ্ডার থেকে বায়ু বের করে আনেন।

8 Who smote the firstborn of Egypt, both of man and beast.

তিনি মিশরের প্রথমজাতদের বিনাশ করেছিলেন, মানুষ ও পশুর প্রথমজাতদের।

9 He sent signs and wonders into the midst of thee, O Egypt, upon Pharaoh, and upon all his servants.

হে মিশর, ফরৌণ ও তার অনুচরদের বিপক্ষে, তিনি তোমার মাঝে চিহ্ন ও আশ্চর্য কাজ পাঠিয়েছিলেন।

10 Who smote many nations, and slew mighty kings;

তিনি বহু জাতিকে আঘাত করেছিলেন এবং শক্তিশালী রাজাদের বধ করেছিলেন—

11 Sihon king of the Amorites, and Og king of Bashan, and all the kingdoms of Canaan:

ইমোরীয়দের রাজা সীহোনকে, বাশনের রাজা ওগকে এবং কনানের সমস্ত রাজাকে—

12 And gave their land for an heritage, an heritage unto Israel his people.

এবং তিনি তাদের দেশ অধিকারস্বরূপ দিলেন, তাঁর প্রজা ইস্রায়েলকে অধিকার দিলেন।

13 Thy name, O LORD, [endureth] for ever; thy memorial, O LORD, throughout all generations.

তোমার নাম, হে সদাপ্রভু, অনন্তকালস্থায়ী, তোমার খ্যাতি, হে সদাপ্রভু, সব প্রজন্মের কাছে পরিচিত।

14 For the LORD shall judge his people, and repent himself concerning his servants.

সদাপ্রভু তাঁর প্রজাদের ন্যায়বিচার করবেন আর তাঁর দাসদের প্রতি করুণা করবেন।

15 The idols of the nations are silver and gold, the work of men’s hands.

জাতিদের প্রতিমাগুলি রুপো ও সোনা দিয়ে তৈরি, মানুষের হাতে গড়া।

16 They have mouths, but they speak not; eyes have they, but they see not;

তাদের মুখ আছে, কিন্তু তারা কথা বলতে পারে না, চোখ আছে, কিন্তু তারা দেখতে পায় না।

17 They have ears, but they hear not; neither is there any breath in their mouths.

তাদের কান আছে, কিন্তু তারা শুনতে পায় না, এমনকি তাদের মুখে প্রাণের নিঃশ্বাস নেই।

18 They that make them shall be like unto them; yea, every one that trusteth in them.

যারা প্রতিমা তৈরি করে তারা তাদের মতোই হবে, আর যারা সেগুলির উপর আস্থা রাখে তারাও তেমনই হবে।

19 O house of Israel, bless ye the LORD: O house of Aaron, bless ye the LORD:

হে ইস্রায়েলের কুল, সদাপ্রভুর প্রশংসা করো; হে হারোণের কুল, সদাপ্রভুর প্রশংসা করো;

20 O house of Levi, bless ye the LORD: ye that fear the LORD, bless ye the LORD.

হে লেবীয় কুল, সদাপ্রভুর প্রশংসা করো; তোমরা যারা তাঁকে সম্ভ্রম করো, সদাপ্রভুর প্রশংসা করো।

21 Blessed be the LORD out of Zion, who dwelleth at Jerusalem. Praise ye the LORD.

সিয়োন থেকে সদাপ্রভুর প্রশংসা হোক, কারণ তিনি জেরুশালেমে বসবাস করেন। সদাপ্রভুর প্রশংসা করো।
