Psalms 131

1 A Song of Ascents; of David. LORD, my heart is not haughty, nor mine eyes lofty; neither do I exercise myself in great matters, or in things too wonderful for me.

௧தாவீதின் ஆரோகண பாடல். யெகோவாவே, என்னுடைய இருதயம் பெருமைகொள்வதில்லை, என்னுடைய கண்கள் மேட்டிமையுள்ளவைகளுமல்ல; பெரிய காரியங்களிலும், எனக்கு மிஞ்சின கருமங்களிலும் நான் தலையிடுகிறதுமில்லை.

2 Surely I have stilled and quieted my soul; like a weaned child with his mother, my soul is with me like a weaned child.

௨தாயின் பால்மறந்த குழந்தையைப்போல நான் என்னுடைய ஆத்துமாவை அடக்கி அமரச்செய்தேன்; என்னுடைய ஆத்துமா பால்மறந்த குழந்தையைப்போல் இருக்கிறது.

3 O Israel, hope in the LORD from this time forth and for evermore.

௩இதுமுதல் என்றென்றைக்கும் இஸ்ரவேல் யெகோவாவை நம்பியிருப்பதாக.
