Psalms 131

1 A Song of Ascents; of David. LORD, my heart is not haughty, nor mine eyes lofty; neither do I exercise myself in great matters, or in things too wonderful for me.

Une chanson d'ascension. Par David. Yahvé, mon cœur n'est pas arrogant, ni mes yeux hautains; et je ne m'occupe pas non plus des grandes affaires, ou des choses trop merveilleuses pour moi.

2 Surely I have stilled and quieted my soul; like a weaned child with his mother, my soul is with me like a weaned child.

Je me suis calmé et j'ai apaisé mon âme, comme un enfant sevré avec sa mère, comme un enfant sevré, mon âme est en moi.

3 O Israel, hope in the LORD from this time forth and for evermore.

Israël, espère en Yahvé, à partir de maintenant et pour toujours.
