Psalms 116
1 I LOVE the LORD, because he hath heard my voice and my supplications.
わたしは主を愛する。主はわが声と、わが願いとを聞かれたからである。
2 Because he hath inclined his ear unto me, therefore will I call [upon him] as long as I live.
主はわたしに耳を傾けられたので、わたしは生きるかぎり主を呼びまつるであろう。
3 The cords of death compassed me, and the pains of Sheol gat hold upon me: I found trouble and sorrow. (Sheol h7585)
死の綱がわたしを取り巻き、陰府の苦しみがわたしを捕えた。わたしは悩みと悲しみにあった。 (Sheol h7585)
4 Then called I upon the name of the LORD; O LORD, I beseech thee, deliver my soul.
その時わたしは主のみ名を呼んだ。「主よ、どうぞわたしをお救いください」と。
5 Gracious is the LORD, and righteous; yea, our God is merciful.
主は恵みふかく、正しくいらせられ、われらの神はあわれみに富まれる。
6 The LORD preserveth the simple: I was brought low, and he saved me.
主は無学な者を守られる。わたしが低くされたとき、主はわたしを救われた。
7 Return unto thy rest, O my soul; for the LORD hath dealt bountifully with thee.
わが魂よ、おまえの平安に帰るがよい。主は豊かにおまえをあしらわれたからである。
8 For thou hast delivered my soul from death, mine eyes from tears, [and] my feet from falling.
あなたはわたしの魂を死から、わたしの目を涙から、わたしの足をつまずきから助け出されました。
9 I will walk before the LORD in the land of the living.
わたしは生ける者の地で、主のみ前に歩みます。
10 I believe, for I will speak: I was greatly afflicted:
「わたしは大いに悩んだ」と言った時にもなお信じた。
11 I said in my haste, All men are a lie.
わたしは驚きあわてたときに言った、「すべての人は当にならぬ者である」と。
12 What shall I render unto the LORD for all his benefits toward me?
わたしに賜わったもろもろの恵みについて、どうして主に報いることができようか。
13 I will take the cup of salvation, and call upon the name of the LORD.
わたしは救の杯をあげて、主のみ名を呼ぶ。
14 I will pay my vows unto the LORD, yea, in the presence of all his people.
わたしはすべての民の前で、主にわが誓いをつぐなおう。
15 Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints.
主の聖徒の死はそのみ前において尊い。
16 O LORD, truly I am thy servant: I am thy servant, the son of thine handmaid; thou hast loosed my bonds.
主よ、わたしはあなたのしもべです。わたしはあなたのしもべ、あなたのはしための子です。あなたはわたしのなわめを解かれました。
17 I will offer to thee the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and will call upon the name of the LORD.
わたしは感謝のいけにえをあなたにささげて、主のみ名を呼びます。
18 I will pay my vows unto the LORD, yea, in the presence of all his people.
わたしはすべての民の前で主にわが誓いをつぐないます。
19 In the courts of the LORD’S house, in the midst of thee, O Jerusalem. Praise ye the LORD.
エルサレムよ、あなたの中で、主の家の大庭の中で、これをつぐないます。主をほめたたえよ。
