Psalms 105
1 Give thanks unto the LORD, call upon his name; make known his doings among the peoples.
Danket dem HERRN und prediget seinen Namen; verkündiget sein Tun unter den Völkern;
2 Sing unto him, sing praises unto him; talk ye of all his marvelous works.
singet von ihm und lobet ihn; redet von allen seinen Wundern;
3 Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD.
rühmet seinen heiligen Namen; es freue sich das Herz derer, die den HERRN suchen!
4 Seek ye the LORD and his strength; seek his face evermore.
Fraget nach dem HERRN und nach seiner Macht; suchet sein Antlitz allewege!
5 Remember his marvelous works that he hath done; his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth;
Gedenket seiner Wunderwerke, die er getan hat, seiner Wunder und seines Worts,
6 O ye seed of Abraham his servant, ye children of Jacob, his chosen ones.
ihr, der Same Abrahams, seines Knechts, ihr Kinder Jakobs, seine Auserwählten!
7 He is the LORD our God: his judgments are in all the earth.
Er ist der HERR, unser Gott; er richtet in aller Welt.
8 He hath remembered his covenant for ever, the word which he commanded to a thousand generations;
Er gedenket ewiglich an seinen Bund, des Worts, das er verheißen hat auf viel tausend für und für
9 [The covenant] which he made with Abraham, and his oath unto Isaac;
den er gemacht hat mit Abraham, und des Eides mit Isaak,
10 And confirmed the same unto Jacob for a statute, to Israel for an everlasting covenant:
und stellete dasselbige Jakob zu einem Recht und Israel zum ewigen Bunde
11 Saying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance:
und sprach: Dir will ich das Land Kanaan geben, das Los eures Erbes,
12 When they were but a few men in number; yea, very few, and sojourners in it;
da sie wenig und geringe waren und Fremdlinge drinnen.
13 And they went about from nation to nation, from one kingdom to another people.
Und sie zogen von Volk zu Volk, von einem Königreiche zum andern Volk.
14 He suffered no man to do them wrong; yea, he reproved kings for their sakes;
Er ließ keinen Menschen ihnen Schaden tun und strafte Könige um ihretwillen.
15 [Saying], Touch not mine anointed ones, and do my prophets no harm.
Tastet meine Gesalbten nicht an und tut meinen Propheten kein Leid!
16 And he called for a famine upon the land; he brake the whole staff of bread.
Und er ließ eine Teurung ins Land kommen und entzog allen Vorrat des Brots.
17 He sent a man before them; Joseph was sold for a servant:
Er sandte einen Mann vor ihnen hin; Joseph ward zum Knechte verkauft.
18 His feet they hurt with fetters; he was laid in [chains of] iron:
Sie zwangen seine Füße im Stock, sein Leib mußte in Eisen liegen,
19 Until the time that his word came to pass; the word of the LORD tried him.
bis daß sein Wort kam und die Rede des HERRN ihn durchläuterte.
20 The king sent and loosed him; even the ruler of peoples, and let him go free.
Da sandte der König hin und ließ ihn losgeben, der HERR über Völker hieß ihn auslassen.
21 He made him lord of his house, and ruler of all his substance:
Er setzte ihn zum HERRN über sein Haus, zum HERRSCher über alle seine Güter,
22 To bind his princes at his pleasure, and teach his senators wisdom.
daß er seine Fürsten unterweisete nach seiner Weise und seine Ältesten Weisheit lehrete.
23 Israel also came into Egypt; and Jacob sojourned in the land of Ham.
Und Israel zog nach Ägypten, und Jakob ward ein Fremdling im Lande Hams.
24 And he increased his people greatly, and made them stronger than their adversaries.
Und er ließ sein Volk sehr wachsen und machte sie mächtiger denn ihre Feinde.
25 He turned their heart to hate his people, to deal subtilly with his servants.
Er verkehrete jener Herz, daß sie seinem Volk gram wurden und dachten seine Knechte mit List zu dämpfen.
26 He sent Moses his servant, [and] Aaron whom he had chosen.
Er sandte seinen Knecht Mose, Aaron, den er hatte erwählet.
27 They set among them his signs, and wonders in the land of Ham.
Dieselben taten seine Zeichen unter ihnen und seine Wunder im Lande Hams.
28 He sent darkness, and made it dark; and they rebelled not against his words.
Er ließ Finsternis kommen und machte es finster; und waren nicht ungehorsam seinen Worten.
29 He turned their waters into blood, and slew their fish.
Er verwandelte ihre Wasser in Blut und tötete ihre Fische.
30 Their land swarmed with frogs, in the chambers of their kings.
Ihr Land wimmelte Kröten heraus in den Kammern ihrer Könige.
31 He spake, and there came swarms of flies, and lice in all their borders.
Er sprach, da kam Ungeziefer, Läuse, in allen ihren Grenzen.
32 He gave them hail for rain, [and] flaming fire in their land.
Er gab ihnen Hagel zum Regen, Feuerflammen in ihrem Lande;
33 He smote their vines also and their fig trees; and brake the trees of their borders.
und schlug ihre Weinstöcke und Feigenbäume und zerbrach die Bäume in ihren Grenzen.
34 He spake, and the locust came, and the cankerworm, and that without number,
Er sprach, da kamen Heuschrecken und Käfer ohne Zahl.
35 And did eat up every herb in their land, and did eat up the fruit of their ground.
Und sie fraßen alles Gras in ihrem Lande und fraßen die Früchte auf ihrem Felde.
36 He smote also all the firstborn in their land, the chief of all their strength.
Und schlug alle Erstgeburt in Ägypten, alle ihre ersten Erben.
37 And he brought them forth with silver and gold: and there was not one feeble person among his tribes.
Und führete sie aus mit Silber und Golde; und war kein Gebrechlicher unter ihren Stämmen.
38 Egypt was glad when they departed; for the fear of them had fallen upon them.
Ägypten ward froh, daß sie auszogen; denn ihre Furcht war auf sie gefallen.
39 He spread a cloud for a covering; and fire to give light in the night.
Er breitete eine Wolke aus zur Decke und ein Feuer des Nachts zu leuchten.
40 They asked, and he brought quails, and satisfied them with the bread of heaven.
Sie baten, da ließ er Wachteln kommen; und er sättigte sie mit Himmelbrot.
41 He opened the rock, and waters gushed out; they ran in the dry places [like] a river.
Er öffnete den Felsen, da flossen Wasser aus, daß Bäche liefen in der dürren Wüste.
42 For he remembered his holy word, [and] Abraham his servant.
Denn er gedachte an sein heiliges Wort, Abraham, seinem Knechte, geredet.
43 And he brought forth his people with joy, [and] his chosen with singing.
Also führete er sein Volk aus mit Freuden und seine Auserwählten mit Wonne
44 And he gave them the lands of the nations; and they took the labour of the peoples in possession:
und gab ihnen die Länder der Heiden, daß sie die Güter der Völker einnahmen
45 That they might keep his statutes, and observe his laws. Praise ye the LORD.
auf daß sie halten sollten seine Rechte und seine Gesetze bewahren. Halleluja!
