Psalms 102
1 A Prayer of the afflicted, when he is overwhelmed, and poureth out his complaint before the LORD. Hear my prayer, O LORD, and let my cry come unto thee.
Gebet eines Elenden, der verzagt und vor Jehovah sein Sinnen ausschüttet. Jehovah, höre mein Gebet, und zu Dir komme mein Angstschrei.
2 Hide not thy face from me in the day of my distress: incline thine ear unto me; in the day when I call answer me speedily.
Verbirg Dein Angesicht nicht von mir; am Tag meiner Drangsal neige zu mir Dein Ohr; am Tage, da ich rufe, eile, antworte mir.
3 For my days consume away like smoke, and my bones are burned as a firebrand.
Denn meine Tage sind vollendet wie Rauch, und meine Gebeine entbrannt wie ein Feuerbrand.
4 My heart is smitten like grass, and withered; for I forget to eat my bread.
Geschlagen wie das Kraut ist mein Herz und vertrocknet, daß ich vergaß, mein Brot zu essen.
5 By reason of the voice of my groaning my bones cleave to my flesh.
Von meines Seufzens Stimme klebt mein Gebein an meinem Fleisch.
6 I am like a pelican of the wilderness; I am become as an owl of the waste places.
Dem Pelikan der Wüste gleich bin ich, bin wie der Uhu der Einöden.
7 I watch, and am become like a sparrow that is alone upon the housetop.
Ich bin wach, bin wie der vereinsamte Vogel auf dem Dach.
8 Mine enemies reproach me all the day; they that are mad against me do curse by me.
Den ganzen Tag schmähen mich meine Feinde; die wider mich rasen, schwören bei mir.
9 For I have eaten ashes like bread, and mingled my drink with weeping.
Denn Asche esse ich wie Brot, und mische mit Weinen meinen Trank.
10 Because of thine indignation and thy wrath: for thou hast taken me up, and cast me away.
Vor Deinem Unwillen und Deiner Entrüstung; denn Du hobst mich auf und warfst mich hin.
11 My days are like a shadow that declineth; and I am withered like grass.
Meine Tage sind wie der sich neigende Schatten, und wie das Kraut vertrockne ich.
12 But thou, O LORD, shalt abide for ever; and thy memorial unto all generations.
Doch Du, Jehovah, sitzest ewiglich, und Dein Gedächtnis zu Geschlecht und Geschlecht.
13 Thou shalt arise, and have mercy upon Zion: for it is time to have pity upon her, yea, the set time is come.
Du wirst aufstehen und Zions Dich erbarmen; denn Zeit ist es, ihr gnädig zu sein, denn die bestimmte Zeit ist gekommen;
14 For thy servants take pleasure in her stones, and have pity upon her dust.
Denn Deine Knechte haben Wohlgefallen an seinen Steinen, und sind gnädig gegen seinen Staub.
15 So the nations shall fear the name of the LORD, and all the kings of the earth thy glory:
Und die Völkerschaften fürchten Jehovahs Namen, und alle Könige der Erde Deine Herrlichkeit,
16 For the LORD hath built up Zion, he hath appeared in his glory;
Daß Zion hat gebaut Jehovah, daß Er in Seiner Herrlichkeit erschienen ist.
17 He hath regarded the prayer of the destitute, and hath not despised their prayer.
Er hat Sich gewandt zu dem Gebete des Einsamen, und nicht verachtet ihr Gebet.
18 This shall be written for the generation to come: and a people which shall be created shall praise the LORD.
Dies sei geschrieben für ein späteres Geschlecht. Ein Volk, das erschaffen wird, soll Dich loben.
19 For he hath looked down from the height of his sanctuary; from heaven did the LORD behold the earth;
Denn von der Höhe Seines Heiligtums schaut Er herab, Jehovah blickt von den Himmeln auf die Erde.
20 To hear the sighing of the prisoner; to loose those that are appointed to death;
Daß Er den Angstruf des Gebundenen höre und losmache des Todes Söhne.
21 That men may declare the name of the LORD in Zion, and his praise in Jerusalem;
Auf daß man in Zion von dem Namen Jehovahs erzähle und von Seinem Lobe in Jerusalem.
22 When the peoples are gathered together, and the kingdoms, to serve the LORD.
Wenn sich die Völker zusammenziehen allzumal, und die Königreiche, Jehovah zu dienen.
23 He weakened my strength in the way; he shortened my days.
Er demütigt auf dem Wege meine Kraft, Er kürzt meine Tage.
24 I said, O my God, take me not away in the midst of my days: thy years are throughout all generations.
Ich spreche: Mein Gott, nimm mich nicht hinauf in der Hälfte meiner Tage. Deine Jahre sind für ein Geschlecht der Geschlechter.
25 Of old hast thou laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the work of thy hands.
Die Erde, die vordem Du gegründet, und die Himmel, Deiner Hände Werk,
26 They shall perish, but thou shalt endure: yea, all of them shall wax old like a garment; as a vesture shalt thou change them, and they shall be changed:
Sie werden vergehen, aber Du bestehst; und wie ein Kleid veralten sie alle; Du wandelst sie wie ein Gewand und sie sind verwandelt.
27 But thou art the same, and thy years shall have no end.
Du aber bist Derselbe, und Deine Jahre gehen nie aus.
28 The children of thy servants shall continue, and their seed shall be established before thee.
Die Söhne Deiner Knechte werden wohnen, und ihr Same wird vor Dir gefestigt.
