Proverbs 4

1 Hear, [my] sons, the instruction of a father, and attend to know understanding:

၁ငါ့သား တို့၊ အဘ ၏နည်း ဥပဒေသကို နားထောင် ၍ ၊ ဉာဏ် သဘောကို နားလည် ခြင်းငှါ စေ့စေ့မှတ် ကြလော့။

2 For I give you good doctrine; forsake ye not my law.

၂ကောင်း သောဩဝါဒ ကို ငါပေး ၏။ ငါ့ ပညတ် တရားကို မ ပယ် ကြနှင့်။

3 For I was a son unto my father, tender and only beloved in the sight of my mother.

၃ငါ မူကား ၊ အဘ ၏ရင် နှစ်၊ အမိ ရှေ့ မှာနူးညံ့ ၍ အချစ် ဆုံးသော သားဖြစ်၏။

4 And he taught me, and said unto me, Let thine heart retain my words; keep my commandments, and live:

၄ငါ့ အဘသွန်သင် ၍ မြွက်ဆို လေသည်ကား၊ ငါ့ စကား ကို သင် ၏နှလုံး ၌ သွင်းမိ ၍၊ ငါ့ ပညတ် တို့ကို ကျင့် စောင့်သဖြင့် အသက်ရှင် လော့။

5 Get wisdom, get understanding; forget [it] not, neither decline from the words of my mouth:

၅ပညာ ကိုဆည်းဖူး လော့။ ဉာဏ် ကို ဆည်းဖူး လော့။ သတိ မ လစ်စေနှင့်။ ငါ ၏နှုတ်ထွက် စကား ကို မ လွှဲ မရှောင်နှင့်။

6 Forsake her not, and she shall preserve thee; love her, and she shall keep thee.

၆ပညာ ကိုမ စွန့် နှင့်။ သူသည်သင့် ကို ထိန်းသိမ်း လိမ့်မည်။ သူ့ ကိုချစ် လော့။ သင့် ကို စောင့် မလိမ့်မည်။

7 Wisdom [is] the principal thing; [therefore] get wisdom: yea, with all thou hast gotten get understanding.

၇ပညာ သည် အမြတ် ဆုံးသောအရာဖြစ်၏။ ပညာ ကိုဆည်းဖူး လော့။ ဆည်းဖူးသမျှ သောဥစ္စာ တို့တွင် ဉာဏ် ကိုဆည်းဖူး လော့။

8 Exalt her, and she shall promote thee: she shall bring thee to honour, when thou dost embrace her.

၈သူ့ ကိုအမြတ် ထားလော့။ သူသည် သင့် ကို ချီးမြှောက် လိမ့်မည်။ သူ့ ကိုဘက်ယမ်း လျှင် ၊ ဂုဏ် အသရေကိုပေး လိမ့်မည်။

9 She shall give to thine head a chaplet of grace: a crown of beauty shall she deliver to thee.

၉သင် ၏ခေါင်း ကို တင့်တယ် သောဦးရစ် နှင့် ပတ်ရစ် ၍၊ ဘုန်းကြီး သောသရဖူ ကို အပ်နှံ လိမ့်မည်။

10 Hear, O my son, and receive my sayings; and the years of thy life shall be many.

၁၀ငါ့ သား ၊ ငါ့ စကား ကိုနားထောင် နာယူ လော့။ သို့ပြုလျှင် ၊ သင့် အသက် နှစ် ပေါင်းများ လိမ့်မည်။

11 I have taught thee in the way of wisdom; I have led thee in paths of uprightness.

၁၁ပညာ လမ်း ကို ငါပြသ ၍၊ မှန် သောလမ်း ခရီးတို့၌ သင့် ကိုငါပို့ဆောင် ၏။

12 When thou goest, thy steps shall not be straitened; and if thou runnest, thou shalt not stumble.

၁၂ရှောက်သွား လျှင် ၊ ကျဉ်းမြောင်း ရာသို့မ ရောက်၊ ပြေး သောအခါ တိုက်မိ၍မ လဲ ရ။

13 Take fast hold of instruction; let her not go: keep her; for she is thy life.

၁၃ဥပဒေသ ကို ကိုင်ဆွဲ လော့။ မ လွှတ် နှင့်။ စောင့် ထား လော့။ အသက်ရှင် ခြင်း၏အကြောင်း ဖြစ်၏။

14 Enter not into the path of the wicked, and walk not in the way of evil men.

၁၄အဓမ္မ လူတို့ လမ်း ထဲသို့ မ ဝင် နှင့်။ ဆိုးယုတ် သောသူတို့နှင့်အတူ မ လိုက် နှင့်။

15 Avoid it, pass not by it; turn from it, and pass on.

၁၅သူ တို့လမ်းကို ကြဉ်ရှောင် လော့။ လိုက်မ သွား နှင့်။ လွှဲ ၍ သွား လော့။

16 For they sleep not, except they have done mischief; and their sleep is taken away, unless they cause some to fall.

၁၆သူတို့သည်သူတပါး၌ အပြစ် မ ပြုရလျှင် မ အိပ် တတ်။ တစုံတယောက်သော သူ ကိုမ လဲ စေလျှင် အိပ် ၍ မပျော်တတ်။

17 For they eat the bread of wickedness, and drink the wine of violence.

၁၇ဒုစရိုက် နှင့်ဆိုင်သောမုန့် ကိုစား ၍ ညှဉ်းဆဲ ခြင်းနှင့်ဆိုင်သော စပျစ်ရည် ကို သောက် တတ်ကြ၏။

18 But the path of the righteous is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.

၁၈ဖြောင့်မတ် သောသူတို့၏လမ်း သည် တက် သော အာရုဏ် ကဲ့သို့ ဖြစ်၍၊ နေထွက် သည်တိုင်အောင် တိုးပွါး ထွန်းလင်း တတ်၏။

19 The way of the wicked is as darkness: they know not at what they stumble.

၁၉မ တရားသောသူတို့၏လမ်း မူကား၊ မှောင်မိုက် ကဲ့သို့ ဖြစ်၍၊ သူတို့သည် လဲသောအခါ၊ အဘယ် အရာကို တိုက် မိသည်ဟု မ သိ ရကြ။

20 My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings.

၂၀ငါ့ သား ၊ ငါ့ စကား ကို နားထောင် လော့။ ငါ ဟောပြော ချက်တို့ကို နား သွင်း လော့။

21 Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart.

၂၁သင့် မျက်မှောက် မှ မ ကွာ စေနှင့်။ နှလုံး တွင်း ၌ စောင့် ထားလော့။

22 For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.

၂၂အကြောင်း မူကား၊ ထို တရားစကားကို တွေ့ ရ သောသူ တို့သည် အသက်ရှင် ခြင်း၊ တကိုယ်လုံး ကျန်းမာ ခြင်းအကြောင်း ကို တွေ့ရပြီ။

23 Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.

၂၃နှလုံး သည်အသက် ၏အခြေ အမြစ် ဖြစ်သောကြောင့် ၊ သင် ၏နှလုံး ကို အထူးသဖြင့်စောင့်ရှောက် လော့။

24 Put away from thee a froward mouth, and perverse lips put far from thee.

၂၄ကောက် သောစကား တို့ကို၎င်း ၊ ငြင်းဆန် တတ် သော နှုတ်ခမ်း တို့ကို၎င်းဝေး စွာ ပယ်ရှောင် လော့။

25 Let thine eyes look right on, and let thine eyelids look straight before thee.

၂၅သင် ၏မျက်စိ သည် ရှေ့ရှု ကြည့် ၍ ၊ မျက်ခမ်း တို့ သည် တည့်တည့် အာရုံ ပြုစေလော့။

26 Make level the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established.

၂၆သင် သွား ရာလမ်း ကို စူးစမ်း ၍ ၊ သွား လေရာရာ ၌ တည်ကြည် ခြင်းရှိစေလော့။

27 Turn not to the right hand nor to the left: remove thy foot from evil.

၂၇လက်ျာ ဘက်၊ လက်ဝဲ ဘက်သို့ မ တိမ်း မလွှဲနှင့်။ ဒုစရိုက် ပြုရာ လမ်း ကိုရှောင် လော့။
