Luke 22
1 Now the feast of unleavened bread drew nigh, which is called the Passover.
Estava perto a festa dos pães sem fermento, chamada de páscoa.
2 And the chief priests and the scribes sought how they might put him to death; for they feared the people.
E os chefes dos sacerdotes, e os escribas procuravam um meio de o matar, pois eles temiam ao povo.
3 And Satan entered into Judas who was called Iscariot, being of the number of the twelve.
E Satanás entrou no Judas que era chamado Iscariotes, que era um dos doze.
4 And he went away, and communed with the chief priests and captains, how he might deliver him unto them.
E foi, e falou com os chefes dos sacerdotes e os oficiais, sobre como [o] entregaria para eles.
5 And they were glad, and covenanted to give him money.
E [estes] se alegraram, e concordaram em lhe dar dinheiro.
6 And he consented, and sought opportunity to deliver him unto them in the absence of the multitude.
E [lhes] prometeu, e buscava oportunidade para o entregar quando não houvesse uma multidão.
7 And the day of unleavened bread came, on which the passover must be sacrificed.
E veio o dia dos [pães] sem fermento, em que se devia fazer o sacrifício da páscoa.
8 And he sent Peter and John, saying, Go and make ready for us the passover, that we may eat.
E [Jesus] mandou a Pedro, e a João, dizendo: Ide, preparai-nos a páscoa, para que [a] comamos.
9 And they said unto him, Where wilt thou that we make ready?
E eles lhe disseram: Onde queres que [a] preparemos?
10 And he said unto them, Behold, when ye are entered into the city, there shall meet you a man bearing a pitcher of water; follow him into the house whereinto he goeth.
E ele lhes disse: Eis que, quando entrardes na cidade, um homem com um vaso de água vos encontrará; segui-o até a casa onde ele entrar.
11 And ye shall say unto the goodman of the house, The Master saith unto thee, Where is the guest-chamber, where I shall eat the passover with my disciples?
E direis ao dono da casa: O Mestre te diz: Onde está o salão onde comerei a páscoa com meus discípulos?
12 And he will shew you a large upper room furnished: there make ready.
Então ele vos mostrará um grande salão já arrumado; preparai-a ali.
13 And they went, and found as he had said unto them: and they made ready the passover.
E indo eles, acharam como lhes tinha dito; e prepararam a páscoa.
14 And when the hour was come, he sat down, and the apostles with him.
E vinda a hora, sentou-se [à mesa], e com ele os doze apóstolos.
15 And he said unto them, With desire I have desired to eat this passover with you before I suffer:
E disse-lhes: Muito desejei comer convosco esta páscoa, antes que eu sofra.
16 for I say unto you, I will not eat it, until it be fulfilled in the kingdom of God.
Porque eu vos digo, que dela não mais comerei, até que [isto] se cumpra no Reino de Deus.
17 And he received a cup, and when he had given thanks, he said, Take this, and divide it among yourselves:
E tomando o copo, e tendo agradecido [a Deus], disse: Tomai-o, e reparti [-o] entre vós.
18 for I say unto you, I will not drink from henceforth of the fruit of the vine, until the kingdom of God shall come.
Porque vos digo, que do fruto da videira eu não beberei, até que o Reino de Deus venha.
19 And he took bread, and when he had given thanks, he brake it, and gave to them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me.
E tomando o pão, e tendo agradecido [a Deus], partiu-o, e o deu a eles, dizendo: Isto é o meu corpo, que é dado por vós; fazei isto em memória de mim.
20 And the cup in like manner after supper, saying, This cup is the new covenant in my blood, [even] that which is poured out for you.
De modo semelhante também com o copo, depois da ceia, disse: Este copo [é] o Novo Testamento em meu sangue, que é derramado por vós.
21 But behold, the hand of him that betrayeth me is with me on the table.
Porém eis que a mão do que me trai [está] comigo à mesa.
22 For the Son of man indeed goeth, as it hath been determined: but woe unto that man through whom he is betrayed!
E realmente o Filho do homem vai conforme o que está determinado; mas ai daquele homem por quem é traído!
23 And they began to question among themselves, which of them it was that should do this thing.
E começaram a perguntar entre si, qual deles seria o que faria isto.
24 And there arose also a contention among them, which of them is accounted to be greatest.
E houve também uma briga entre eles, sobre qual deles era considerado o maior.
25 And he said unto them, The kings of the Gentiles have lordship over them; and they that have authority over them are called Benefactors.
E [Jesus] lhes disse: Os reis dos gentios os dominam, e os que exercem autoridade sobre eles são chamados de benfeitores;
26 But ye [shall] not [be] so: but he that is the greater among you, let him become as the younger; and he that is chief, as he that doth serve.
Mas não [seja] assim entre vós; antes o maior de vós seja como o menor; e o que lidera, como o que serve.
27 For whether is greater, he that sitteth at meat, or he that serveth? is not he that sitteth at meat? but I am in the midst of you as he that serveth.
Porque qual é maior? O que se senta [à mesa], ou o que serve? Por acaso não é o que se senta [à mesa]? Porém eu estou entre vós como aquele que serve.
28 But ye are they which have continued with me in my temptations;
E vós sois os que tendes permanecido comigo em minhas tentações.
29 and I appoint unto you a kingdom, even as my Father appointed unto me,
E eu vos determino um Reino, assim como meu pai o determinou a mim.
30 that ye may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom; and ye shall sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
Para que em meu Reino, comais e bebais à minha mesa; e vos senteis sobre tronos, julgando as doze tribos de Israel.
31 Simon, Simon, behold, Satan asked to have you, that he might sift you as wheat:
Disse também o Senhor: Simão, Simão; eis que Satanás vos pediu, para [vos] peneirar como trigo;
32 but I made supplication for thee, that thy faith fail not: and do thou, when once thou hast turned again, stablish thy brethren.
Mas eu roguei por ti, que tua fé não se acabe; e quando tu te converteres, fortaleça teus irmãos.
33 And he said unto him, Lord, with thee I am ready to go both to prison and to death.
E ele lhe disse: Senhor, estou preparado para ir contigo até à prisão, e à morte.
34 And he said, I tell thee, Peter, the cock shall not crow this day, until thou shalt thrice deny that thou knowest me.
Mas ele disse: Pedro, eu te digo que hoje o galo não cantará, antes que me negues três vezes que me conheces.
35 And he said unto them, When I sent you forth without purse, and wallet, and shoes, lacked ye any thing? And they said, Nothing.
E disse a eles: Quando vos mandei sem bolsa, e sem sacola, e sem sandálias, por acaso algo vos faltou? E disseram: Nada.
36 And he said unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise a wallet: and he that hath none, let him sell his cloke, and buy a sword.
Então, ele lhes disse: Mas agora, quem tem bolsa, tome-a, como também a sacola; e o que não tem espada, venda sua roupa, e compre uma.
37 For I say unto you, that this which is written must be fulfilled in me, And he was reckoned with transgressors: for that which concerneth me hath fulfillment.
Porque eu vos digo, que ainda é necessário que se cumpra em mim aquilo que está escrito: E ele foi contado com os malfeitores. Porque aquilo que é sobre mim tem que se cumprir.
38 And they said, Lord, behold, here are two swords. And he said unto them, It is enough.
E eles disseram: Senhor, eis aqui duas espadas. E ele lhes disse: É o suficiente.
39 And he came out, and went, as his custom was, unto the mount of Olives; and the disciples also followed him.
E saindo, foi, como de costume, para o monte das Oliveiras; e os seus discípulos também o seguiram.
40 And when he was at the place, he said unto them, Pray that ye enter not into temptation.
E quando chegou a aquele lugar, disse-lhes: Orai para que não entreis em tentação.
41 And he was parted from them about a stone’s cast; and he kneeled down and prayed,
E se afastou deles, [à distância] de um tiro de pedra. E pondo-se de joelhos, orava,
42 saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.
Dizendo: Pai, se tu quiseres, passa este copo de mim; porém não se faça minha vontade, mas a tua.
43 And there appeared unto him an angel from heaven, strengthening him.
E apareceu-lhe um anjo do céu, que o fortalecia.
44 And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat became as it were great drops of blood falling down upon the ground.
E estando em angústia, orava mais intensamente. E seu suor se fez como gotas de sangue, que desciam até o chão.
45 And when he rose up from his prayer, he came unto the disciples, and found them sleeping for sorrow,
E ele, levantando-se da oração, veio a seus discípulos, e os achou dormindo por causa da tristeza.
46 and said unto them, Why sleep ye? rise and pray, that ye enter not into temptation.
E disse-lhes: Por que estais dormindo? Levantai-vos, e orai, para que não entreis em tentação.
47 While he yet spake, behold, a multitude, and he that was called Judas, one of the twelve, went before them; and he drew near unto Jesus to kiss him.
E enquanto ele ainda estava falando, eis que uma multidão [chegou]; e um dos doze, o que se chamava Judas, ia adiante deles, e se aproximou de Jesus, para o beijar.
48 But Jesus said unto him, Judas, betrayest thou the Son of man with a kiss?
E Jesus lhe disse: Judas, com um beijo trais ao Filho do homem?
49 And when they that were about him saw what would follow, they said, Lord, shall we smite with the sword?
E os que estavam com ele, vendo o que iria acontecer, disseram-lhe: Senhor, feriremos com a espada?
50 And a certain one of them smote the servant of the high priest, and struck off his right ear.
E um deles feriu a um servo do chefe dos sacerdotes, e cortou-lhe a orelha direita.
51 But Jesus answered and said, Suffer ye thus far. And he touched his ear, and healed him.
E respondendo Jesus, disse: Para com isto! E tocando-lhe a orelha, o curou.
52 And Jesus said unto the chief priests, and captains of the temple, and elders, which were come against him, Are ye come out, as against a robber, with swords and staves?
E disse Jesus aos chefes dos sacerdotes, e aos oficiais do Templo, e aos anciãos, que tinham vindo contra ele: Como [se eu fosse] ladrão, saístes com espadas e bastões?
53 When I was daily with you in the temple, ye stretched not forth your hands against me: but this is your hour, and the power of darkness.
Estando eu convosco todo dia no Templo, contra mim não me prendestes; mas esta é a vossa hora, e [sob] a autoridade das trevas.
54 And they seized him, and led him [away], and brought him into the high priest’s house. But Peter followed afar off.
E prendendo-o, [o] trouxeram e o puseram na casa do sumo sacerdote. E Pedro [o] seguia de longe.
55 And when they had kindled a fire in the midst of the court, and had sat down together, Peter sat in the midst of them.
E acenderam fogo no meio do pátio, e sentaram-se juntos, e Pedro se sentou entre eles.
56 And a certain maid seeing him as he sat in the light [of the fire], and looking stedfastly upon him, said, This man also was with him.
E uma serva, vendo-o sentado junto ao fogo, fixando o olhos nele, disse: Este também estava com ele.
57 But he denied, saying, Woman, I know him not.
Porém ele o negou, dizendo: Mulher, eu não o conheço.
58 And after a little while another saw him, and said, Thou also art [one] of them. But Peter said, Man, I am not.
E pouco depois, outro o viu, e disse: Também tu és um deles.
59 And after the space of about one hour another confidently affirmed, saying, Of a truth this man also was with him: for he is a Galilaean.
E quando já tinha passado quase uma hora, outro afirmava, dizendo: Verdadeiramente também este estava com ele, porque também é galileu.
60 But Peter said, Man, I know not what thou sayest. And immediately, while he yet spake, the cock crew.
E Pedro disse: Homem, não sei o que dizes. E logo, estando ele ainda falando, cantou o galo.
61 And the Lord turned, and looked upon Peter. And Peter remembered the word of the Lord, how that he said unto him, Before the cock crow this day, thou shalt deny me thrice.
E o Senhor, virando-se, olhou para Pedro; e Pedro se lembrou da palavra do Senhor, como lhe tinha dito: Antes que o galo cante, tu me negarás três vezes.
62 And he went out, and wept bitterly.
E Pedro, saindo, chorou amargamente.
63 And the men that held [Jesus] mocked him, and beat him.
E os homens que tinham prendido a Jesus zombavam dele, ferindo-o;
64 And they blindfolded him, and asked him, saying, Prophesy: who is he that struck thee?
E cobrindo-o, perguntavam, dizendo: Profetiza, quem é o que te feriu?
65 And many other things spake they against him, reviling him.
E diziam muitas outras coisas contra ele, insultando-o.
66 And as soon as it was day, the assembly of the elders of the people was gathered together, both chief priests and scribes; and they led him away into their council, saying,
E quando já era de dia, juntaram-se os anciãos do povo, e os chefes dos sacerdotes, e os escribas, e o trouxeram ao supremo conselho,
67 If thou art the Christ, tell us. But he said unto them, If I tell you, ye will not believe:
dizendo, Tu és o Cristo? Dize-nos. E ele lhes disse: Se eu vos disser, não o crereis.
68 and if I ask [you], ye will not answer.
E também se eu perguntar, não me respondereis, nem [me] soltareis.
69 But from henceforth shall the Son of man be seated at the right hand of the power of God.
A partir de agora o Filho do homem se sentará à direita do poder de Deus.
70 And they all said, Art thou then the Son of God? And he said unto them, Ye say that I am.
E todos disseram: Então tu és o Filho de Deus? E ele lhes disse: Vós dizeis que eu sou.
71 And they said, What further need have we of witness? for we ourselves have heard from his own mouth.
E eles disseram: Para que precisamos de mais testemunho? Pois nós mesmos o ouvimos de sua boca.
