Jeremiah 2

1 And the word of the LORD came to me, saying,

၁တဖန်ထာဝရဘုရား၏ နှုတ်ကပတ်တော်သည်ငါ့ဆီသို့ရောက်၍၊ သင်သည်ယေရုရှလင်မြို့သို့ သွားပြီး လျှင်၊

2 Go, and cry in the ears of Jerusalem, saying, Thus saith the LORD, I remember for thee the kindness of thy youth, the love of thine espousals; how thou wentest after me in the wilderness, in a land that was not sown.

၂အော်ဟစ်ရမည်အရာဟူမူကား၊ ထာဝရဘုရားက၊ လယ်မလုပ်သော တောအရပ်၌ သင်သည် ငါ့နောက် သို့လိုက်သောအခါ၊ အသက်အရွယ်နုငယ်၍ခံရသောကျေးဇူးကို၎င်း၊ ထိမ်းမြားပေးစားခြင်းနှင့်ယှဉ်သော ချစ်ခြင်းမေတ္တာကို၎င်း ငါအောက်မေ့၏။

3 Israel [was] holiness unto the LORD, the firstfruits of his increase: all that devour him shall be held guilty; evil shall come upon them, saith the LORD.

၃ထိုအခါ ဣသရေလအမျိုးသည် ထာဝရဘုရားအဘို့ သန့်ရှင်း၏။ စီးပွားတော်အဘို့ အဦးသီးသော အသီးဖြစ်၏။ သူတို့ကို လုယူသောသူအပေါင်းတို့သည် အပြစ်ရှိကြ၏။ ထိုသူတို့အပေါ်မှာ ဘေးဥပဒ်ရောက်ရ သည်ဟု ထာဝရဘုရားမိန့်တော်မူ၏။

4 Hear ye the word of the LORD, O house of Jacob, and all the families of the house of Israel:

၄အိုယာကုပ်အမျိုးနှင့် ဣသရေလ အမျိုးအနွယ် အပေါင်းတို့၊ ထာဝရဘုရား၏ နှုတ်ကပတ်တော်ကို နား ထောင်ကြလော့။

5 thus saith the LORD, What unrighteousness have your fathers found in me, that they are gone far from me, and have walked after vanity, and are become vain?

၅ထာဝရဘုရား မိန့်တော်မူသည်ကား၊ သင်တို့၏ဘိုးဘေးတို့သည် ငါ့ထံမှဝေးစွာထွက်သွား၍၊ အနတ္တလမ်း သို့လိုက်လျက်၊ အနတ္တသက်သက်ဖြစ်ရမည်အကြောင်း၊ ငါ၌ အဘယ်မည်သောအပြစ်ကို တွေ့ကြသနည်း။

6 Neither said they, Where is the LORD that brought us up out of the land of Egypt; that led us through the wilderness, through a land of deserts and of pits, through a land of drought and of the shadow of death, through a land that none passed through, and where no man dwelt?

၆သူတို့က၊ ငါတို့ကို အဲဂုတ္တုပြည်မှ ကယ်နှုတ်၍၊ တောတရှောက်လုံး၊ လွင်ပြင်၊ မြေတွင်းနှင့်ပြည့်စုံသော ပြည်၊ သွေ့ခြောက်၍ သေမင်းအရိပ် လွှမ်းမိုးသောပြည်၊ ခရီးသွားသောသူ၊ နေရာကျသောသူမရှိသော ပြည်တ ရှောက်လုံးသို့ပို့ဆောင်သော ထာဝရဘုရားသည် အဘယ် မှာ ရှိတော်မူသနည်းဟု မမေးကြ။

7 And I brought you into a plentiful land, to eat the fruit thereof and the goodness thereof; but when ye entered, ye defiled my land, and made mine heritage an abomination.

၇ဝပြောသော ပြည်၏အသီးအနှံဆီဥဆီကြည်ကို စားစေခြင်းငှါ သင်တို့ကို ငါဆောင်သွင်း၍၊ သင်တို့သည် ဝင်စားသောအခါ၊ ငါ့ပြည်ကို ညစ်ညူးစေ၍၊ ငါ၏အမွေ ကို ရွံရှာဘွယ်ဖြစ်စေကြသည်တကား။

8 The priests said not, Where is the LORD? and they that handle the law knew me not: the rulers also transgressed against me, and the prophets prophesied by Baal, and walked after things that do not profit.

၈ယဇ်ပုရောဟိတ်တို့က၊ ထာဝရဘုရားသည် အဘယ်မှာ ရှိတော်မူသနည်းဟု မမေးကြ။ ကျမ်းတတ်တို့ သည် ငါ့ကိုမသိကြ။ သင်းအုပ်တို့သည် ငါ့ကို ပြစ်မှား ကြ၏။ ပရောဖက်တို့သည် ဗာလကို အမှီပြု၍ ဟောပြော လျက်၊ ကျေးဇူးမဲ့သောလမ်းသို့ လိုက်ကြ၏။

9 Wherefore I will yet plead with you, saith the LORD, and with your children’s children will I plead.

၉ထိုကြောင့်၊ သင်တို့နှင့် သင်တို့သားသမီးများကို ငါစစ်ကြောမည်ဟု ထာဝရဘုရားမိန့်တော်မူ၏။

10 For pass over to the isles of Kittim, and see; and send unto Kedar, and consider diligently; and see if there hath been such a thing.

၁၀ခိတ္တိမ်ကျွန်းတို့သို့ကူး၍ ကြည့်ရှုကြလော့။ ကေဒါပြည်သို့ လူကို စေလွှတ်၍၊ ထိုသို့ဖြစ်ဘူးပြီလောဟု စေ့စေ့ကြည့်ရှုဆင်ခြင်ကြလော့။

11 Hath a nation changed [their] gods, which yet are no gods? but my people have changed their glory for that which doth not profit.

၁၁အခြားတပါးသော လူမျိုးကိုးကွယ်သော ဘုရား သည် ဘုရားမဟုတ်သော်လည်း၊ ပြောင်းလဲဘူးပြီလော။ ငါ၏လူမျိုးသည် ကျေးဇူးမပြုနိုင်သောအရာဘို့ မိမိတို့ ဘုန်းကို ပြောင်းလဲကြပြီတကား။

12 Be astonished, O ye heavens, at this, and be horribly afraid, be ye very desolate, saith the LORD.

၁၂ထာဝရဘုရား မိန့်တော်မူသည်ကား၊ အို မိုဃ်း ကောင်းကင်တို့၊ ထိုအမှုကို မိန်းမောတွေဝေ၍၊ ကြက်သီး မွေးညှင်းထသည်တိုင်အောင် ထိတ်လန့်လျက် နေကြ လော့။

13 For my people have committed two evils; they have forsaken me the fountain of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water.

၁၃ငါ၏ လူတို့သည် အသက်စမ်းရေတွင်းတည်း ဟူသော၊ ငါ့ကိုစွန့်ပစ်၍၊ ရေမလုံ၊ ပဲ့ပျက်သောရေကျင်း တို့ကို တူးသောအားဖြင့် ဒုစရိုက်နှစ်ပါးကို ပြုကြပြီ။

14 Is Israel a servant? is he a homeborn [slave]? why is he become a prey?

၁၄ဣသရေလသည် ကျွန်ဖြစ်သလော။ ကျွန်သား ပေါက် ဖြစ်သလော။ အဘယ်ကြောင့် လုယူခြင်းကို ခံရသနည်း။

15 The young lions have roared upon him, and yelled: and they have made his land waste; his cities are burned up, without inhabitant.

၁၅ခြင်္သေ့တို့သည် သူ့ကိုဟောက်၍ အသံမြည်ကြ ပြီ။ သူ၏ပြည်ကို ဖျက်ဆီးကြပြီ။ သူ၏မြို့တို့သည် မီးလောင်သောကြောင့်၊ အဘယ်သူမျှ မနေရ။

16 The children also of Noph and Tahpanhes have broken the crown of thy head.

၁၆နောဖမြို့သားနှင့် တာပနက်မြို့သားတို့သည် သင်၏ဦးထိပ်ကို စားကြပြီ။

17 Hast thou not procured this unto thyself, in that thou hast forsaken the LORD thy God, when he led thee by the way?

၁၇သင့်ကိုပို့ဆောင်တော်မူသော သင်၏ဘုရား သခင် ထာဝရဘုရားကို သင်သည်စွန့်သောကြောင့်၊ ထိုသို့သော အပြစ်ရောက်သည် မဟုတ်လော။

18 And now what hast thou to do in the way to Egypt, to drink the waters of Shihor? or what hast thou to do in the way to Assyria, to drink the waters of the River?

၁၈ယခုမှာ သင်သည် ရှိဟောရမြစ်ရေကို သောက် အံ့သောငှါ၊ အဲဂုတ္တုလမ်းသို့ အဘယ်ကြောင့် လိုက် သနည်း။ ဥဖရတ်မြစ်ရေကို သောက်အံ့သောငှါ၊ အာရှုရိ လမ်းသို့ အဘယ်ကြောင့် လိုက်သနည်း။

19 Thine own wickedness shall correct thee, and thy backslidings shall reprove thee: know therefore and see that it is an evil thing and a bitter, that thou hast forsaken the LORD thy God, and that my fear is not in thee, saith the Lord, the LORD of hosts.

၁၉သင်၏ ဒုစရိုက်သည် သင့်ကိုဆုံးမမည်။ သင်၏ ဖောက်ပြန်ခြင်းသည် သင့်ကို အပြစ်ပေးမည်။ သို့ဖြစ်၍ သင်၏ဘုရားသခင် ထာဝရဘုရားကို စွန့်ပစ်သောအမှု၊ ငါ့ကိုမကြောက်ဘဲ နေသောအမှုသည်၊ မကောင်းသော အမှု၊ ခါးသောအမှုဖြစ်သည်ကို သိမြင်ရမည်ဟု ကောင်း ကင်ဗိုလ်ခြေ အရှင်ထာဝရဘုရား မိန့်တော်မူ၏။

20 For of old time I have broken thy yoke, and burst thy bands; and thou saidst, I will not serve; for upon every high hill and under every green tree thou didst bow thyself, playing the harlot.

၂၀ရှေးကာလ၌ သင်ထမ်းရသော ထမ်းဘိုး၊ သင်၌ ချည်သော နှောင်ဖွဲ့ခြင်းကို ငါချိုးချွတ်၍ သင်က၊ အကျွန်ုပ်သည် မမှားယွင်းဘဲ နေပါမည်ဟု ဂတိထား သော်လည်း၊ မြင့်သောတောင်ရှိသမျှ အပေါ်၌၎င်း၊ စိမ်းသောသစ်ပင်ရှိသမျှအောက်၌၎င်း၊ ကိုယ်ကိုချ၍ ပြည်တန်ဆာလုပ်လေ၏။

21 Yet I had planted thee a noble vine, wholly a right seed: how then art thou turned into the degenerate plant of a strange vine unto me?

၂၁အကောင်းဆုံးသော စပျစ်နွယ်ပင်အမျိုးစစ် ဖြစ်သော သင့်ကို ငါစိုက်ပျိုးသော်လည်း၊ သင်သည် ငါ့ရှေ့ မှာ အဘယ်မျှလောက် ဖောက်ပြန်၍၊ အမျိုးမစစ်သော စပျစ်နွယ်ပင်ဖြစ်ပါသည်တကား။

22 For though thou wash thee with lye, and take thee much soap, yet thine iniquity is marked before me, saith the Lord GOD.

၂၂သင်သည် ပေါက်ဆပ်ပြာနှင့် ရေချိုး၍၊ ချက် သော ဆပ်ပြာအများကို သုံးသော်လည်း၊ သင်၏အပြစ် သည် ငါ့ရှေ့မှာထင်ရှားသည်ဟု အရှင်ထာဝရဘုရား မိန့်တော်မူ၏။

23 How canst thou say, I am not defiled, I have not gone after the Baalim? see thy way in the valley, know what thou hast done: [thou art] a swift dromedary traversing her ways;

၂၃သင်ကလည်း၊ ငါသည် ညစ်ညူးခြင်းမရှိ၊ ဗာလ ဘုရားတို့ နောက်သို့မလိုက်ဟု အဘယ်သို့ ဆိုနိုင်သနည်း။ ချိုင့်၌ သင်လိုက်သော လမ်းကိုကြည့်ရှုလော့။ သင်ပြု သော အမှုတို့ကို ဝန်ခံလော့။ လျင်မြန်စွာ ပြေး၍ လှည့် လည်တတ်သော ကုလားအုပ်မပါတကား။

24 a wild ass used to the wilderness, that snuffeth up the wind in her desire; in her occasion who can turn her away? all they that seek her will not weary themselves; in her month they shall find her.

၂၄တော၌ လှည့်လည်၍ ကိလေသာရာဂစိတ်နှင့် လေကိုရှူတတ်သော မြည်းရိုင်းမပါတကား။ အချိန်ရောက် သောအခါ အဘယ်သူ ဆီးတားနိုင်သနည်း။ သူ့ကိုရှာအံ့ သောငှါ အဘယ်သူမျှ ပင်ပန်းခြင်းကို မခံရ။ အချိန်စေ့ သောအခါ သူ့ကိုတွေ့လိမ့်မည်။

25 Withhold thy foot from being unshod, and thy throat from thirst: but thou saidst, There is no hope: no; for I have loved strangers, and after them will I go.

၂၅သင်၏ခြေနင်းကို မပျက်စေနှင့်။ ရေငတ်ခြင်း အကြောင်းကို မပြုနှင့်ဟုဆိုသော်လည်း၊ သင်ကမြော်လင့် စရာမရှိ၊ အလျှင်းမရှိ။ သူတပါးတို့ကို ငါချစ်၍၊ သူတို့ နောက်သို့ လိုက်မည်ဟု ပြန်ပြော၏။

26 As the thief is ashamed when he is found, so is the house of Israel ashamed; they, their kings, their princes, and their priests, and their prophets;

၂၆ဘမ်းမိသောသူခိုးသည် ရှက်သကဲ့သို့၊ ဣသ ရေလအမျိုး၏ ရှင်ဘုရင်၊ မင်းသား၊ ယဇ်ပုရောဟိတ်၊ ပရောဖက်နှင့်တကွ အမျိုးသားများတို့သည် ရှက်ကြ၏။

27 which say to a stock, Thou art my father; and to a stone, Thou hast brought me forth: for they have turned their back unto me, and not their face: but in the time of their trouble they will say, Arise, and save us.

၂၇သစ်တုံးအား၊ ကိုယ်တော်သည် အကျွန်ုပ်အဘ ဖြစ်တော်မူ၏ဟူ၍၎င်း၊ ကျောက်အားလည်း၊ ကိုယ်တော် သည် အကျွန်ုပ် ကို ဘွားမြင်တော်မူပြီဟူ၍၎င်း ဆိုလျက်၊ စင်စစ်ငါ့ကို မျက်နှာမပြု၊ ကျောခိုင်းကြသော်လည်း၊ အမှု ရောက်လျှင်မူကား၊ ထတော်မူပါ၊ အကျွန်ုပ်တို့ကို ကယ်မ တော်မူပါဟု လျှောက်တတ်ကြ၏။

28 But where are thy gods that thou hast made thee? let them arise, if they can save thee in the time of thy trouble: for according to the number of thy cities are thy gods, O Judah.

၂၈ကိုယ်အဘို့ သင်လုပ်သော ဘုရားတို့သည် အဘယ်မှာရှိကြသနည်း။ အမှုရောက်သောအခါ သူတို့ သည် တတ်နိုင်လျှင်ထ၍ ကယ်ကြပါလေစေ။ အိုယုဒ ပြည်၊ သင်သည် မြို့များ အရေအတွက်ရှိသည်အတိုင်း၊ သင်၏ဘုရားများရှိပါသည်တကား။

29 Wherefore will ye plead with me? ye all have transgressed against me, saith the LORD.

၂၉ထာဝရဘုရား မိန့်တော်မူသည်ကား၊ သင်တို့ သည် အဘယ်အကျိုးအလိုငှါ ငါနှင့်တရားတွေ့ကြမည် နည်း။ သင်တို့ရှိသမျှသည် ငါ့ကို ပြစ်မှားကြပြီ။

30 In vain have I smitten your children; they received no correction: your own sword hath devoured your prophets, like a destroying lion.

၃၀ငါသည်သင်တို့ သားများကို အချည်းနှီးဒဏ်ပေး ပြီ။ သူတို့သည် ဆုံးမခြင်းကို မခံကြ။ သင်တို့၏ ထား သည် လုယူဖျက်ဆီးတတ်သော ခြင်္သေ့ကဲ့သို့၊ သင်တို့၏ ပရောဖက်များကို ဖျက်ဆီးလေပြီ။

31 O generation, see ye the word of the LORD. Have I been a wilderness unto Israel? or a land of thick darkness? wherefore say my people, We are broken loose; we will come no more unto thee?

၃၁ယခုဖြစ်သော အမျိုးသားတို့၊ ထာဝရဘုရား၏ အမိန့်တော်ကို ဆင်ခြင်ကြလော့။ ငါသည် ဣသရေလ အမျိုး၌ တောကဲ့သို့၎င်း၊ မှောင်မိုက်နိုင်ငံကဲ့သို့၎င်း ဖြစ်ဘူး သလော။ ငါ၏လူတို့က၊ ငါတို့သည် အရပ်ရပ်သို့ လည် မည်။ ကိုယ်တော်ထံသို့ နောက်တဖန်မချဉ်းကပ်ဟု အဘယ်ကြောင့် ဆိုကြသနည်း။

32 Can a maid forget her ornaments, or a bride her attire? yet my people have forgotten me days without number.

၃၂အပျိုမသည် မိမိ၌ဆင်သောတန်ဆာကို၎င်း၊ မင်္ဂလာဆောင် သတို့သမီးသည် မိမိခါးပန်းကို၎င်း မေ့လျော့နိုင်သလော။ သို့သော်လည်း၊ ငါ၏လူတို့သည် မရေတွက်နိုင်အောင် များစွာသောကာလပတ်လုံး ငါ့ကို မေ့လျော့ကြပြီ။

33 How trimmest thou thy way to seek love! therefore even the wicked women hast thou taught thy ways.

၃၃သင်သည် ရည်းစားကို ရှာခြင်းငှါ သင်တို့ ဘာသာဓလေ့တို့ကို အဘယ်ကြောင့်ပြုပြင်သနည်း။ သင်၏အသိအကျွမ်းတို့ကို သွေးဆောင်လေပြီတကား။

34 Also, in thy skirts is found the blood of the souls of the innocent poor: I have not found it at the place of breaking in, but upon all these.

၃၄ထိုမှတပါး၊ အနိုင်အထက်ပြုသည်ကို သင် မတွေ့။ အပြစ်မရှိသော ဆင်းရဲသားတို့ကို အသေသတ်၍၊ သွန်းသော အသွေးသည် သင်၏အဝတ်စွန်း၌ ထင်ရှား ၏။

35 Yet thou saidst, I am innocent; surely his anger is turned away from me. Behold, I will enter into judgment with thee, because thou sayest, I have not sinned.

၃၅ထိုသို့သော အပြစ်များရှိသော်လည်း သင်က၊ ငါ၌အပြစ်မရှိသောကြောင့်၊ ဘုရားသခင်၏ အမျက် တော်သည် ငါမှလွှဲသွားလိမ့်မည်ဟု ဆိုပါသည်တကား။ ငါ၌အပြစ်မရှိဟုဆိုသောကြောင့်၊ သင့်ကို ငါစစ်ကြော စီရင်မည်။

36 Why gaddest thou about so much to change thy way? thou shalt be ashamed of Egypt also, as thou wast ashamed of Assyria.

၃၆သင်သည် အရပ်ရပ်သို့ ပြောင်းလဲခြင်းငှါ၊ အဘယ်ကြောင့် ဤမျှလောက်လှည့်လည်သနည်း။ အာရှုရိပြည်ကို ရှက်ကြောက်သည်နည်းတူ၊ အဲဂုတ္တုပြည် ကို ရှက်ကြောက်လိမ့်မည်။

37 From him also shalt thou go forth, with thine hands upon thine head: for the LORD hath rejected thy confidences, and thou shalt not prosper in them.

၃၇သင်သည် မိမိလက်ကို မိမိခေါင်းပေါ်မှာ တင်လျက်၊ ထိုပြည်မှ အမှန်ထွက်သွားရလိမ့်မည်။ အကြောင်းမူကား၊ သင်ခိုလှုံသောအရာတို့ကို ထာဝရ ဘုရားသည် ပယ်တော်မူသောကြောင့်၊ ခိုလှုံ၍ အကျိုးကို မရနိုင်ရာ။
