Isaiah 5
1 Let me sing for my wellbeloved a song of my beloved touching his vineyard. My wellbeloved had a vineyard in a very fruitful hill:
೧ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಿಯನಾದವನ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಮತ್ತು ಅವನ ತೋಟವನ್ನೂ ಕುರಿತು ಒಂದು ಗೀತೆಯನ್ನು ಹಾಡುವೆನು. ಕೇಳಿರಿ, ಫಲವತ್ತಾದ ಗುಡ್ಡದ ಮೇಲೆ ನನ್ನ ಅತಿಪ್ರಿಯನಿಗೆ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಿಯ ತೋಟವಿತ್ತು.
2 and he made a trench about it, and gathered out the stones thereof, and planted it with the choicest vine, and built a tower in the midst of it, and also hewed out a winepress therein: and he looked that it should bring forth grapes, and it brought forth wild grapes.
೨ಅವನು ಅದನ್ನು ಅಗೆದು, ಕಲ್ಲುಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಹಾಕಿ, ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಿಯ ಸಸಿಗಳನ್ನು ನೆಟ್ಟು, ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಗೋಪುರವನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿ, ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಿಯ ತೊಟ್ಟಿಯನ್ನು ಕೊರೆಯಿಸಿ, ತೋಟವು ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಸಿಹಿ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಿಯ ಹಣ್ಣನ್ನು ಕೊಡುವುದೆಂದು ಎದುರುನೋಡುತ್ತಿರಲು, ಅದು ಹುಳಿ ಹಣ್ಣನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟಿತು.
3 And now, O inhabitants of Jerusalem and men of Judah, judge, I pray you, betwixt me and my vineyard.
೩ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳೇ, ಯೆಹೂದದ ಜನರೇ, ಈಗ ನನಗೂ, ನನ್ನ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಿಯ ತೋಟಕ್ಕೂ ನ್ಯಾಯತೀರಿಸಿರಿ.
4 What could have been done more to my vineyard, that I have not done in it? wherefore, when I looked that it should bring forth grapes, brought it forth wild grapes?
೪ನನ್ನ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಿಯ ತೋಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಿಂದೆ ನಾನು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಕ್ಕಿಂತಲೂ ಇನ್ನೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ಇನ್ನೇನು ಮಾಡಬೇಕಾಗಿತ್ತು? ಅದು ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಿಯ ಫಲವನ್ನು ಕೊಡುವುದೆಂದು ನಾನು ನಿರೀಕ್ಷಿಸುತ್ತಿರಲು, ಅದು ಹುಳಿ ಹಣ್ಣನ್ನು ಏಕೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿತು?
5 And now go to; I will tell you what I will do to my vineyard: I will take away the hedge thereof, and it shall be eaten up; I will break down the fence thereof, and it shall be trodden down:
೫ನನ್ನ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಿಯ ತೋಟವನ್ನು ಏನು ಮಾಡುವೆನು ಎಂದು ಈಗ ನಿಮಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ. ಅದರ ಮುಳ್ಳು ಬೇಲಿಯನ್ನು ಕೀಳುವೆನು. ದನಗಳು ಅದನ್ನು ಮೇಯ್ದುಬಿಡುವುದು. ಅದರ ಗೋಡೆಯನ್ನು ಕೆಡವಿ ಹಾಕುವೆನು. ಅದು ಜನರ ತುಳಿದಾಟಕ್ಕೆ ಈಡಾಗುವುದು.
6 and I will lay it waste; it shall not be pruned nor hoed; but there shall come up briers and thorns: I will also command the clouds that they rain no rain upon it.
೬ಅದನ್ನು ಹಾಳುಮಾಡುವೆನು. ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಿಯ ತೋಟವನ್ನು ಯಾರೂ ಕುಡಿ ಕತ್ತರಿಸಿ ಅಗೆಯುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಳ್ಳುಕಳೆ ಬೆಳೆಯುವುದು. ಅದರ ಮೇಲೆ ಮಳೆ ಸುರಿಸಬಾರದೆಂದು ಮೋಡಗಳಿಗೆ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆ ಕೊಡುವೆನು.
7 For the vineyard of the LORD of hosts is the house of Israel, and the men of Judah his pleasant plant: and he looked for judgment, but behold oppression; for righteousness, but behold a cry.
೭ಸೇನಾಧೀಶ್ವರನಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಿಯ ತೋಟವು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ಮನೆಯೇ, ಯೆಹೂದದ ಜನವೇ, ಆತನ ಇಷ್ಟದ ಗಿಡ. ಆತನು ನ್ಯಾಯವನ್ನು ನಿರೀಕ್ಷಿಸಲು ನರಹತ್ಯೆ, ನೀತಿಯನ್ನು ನಿರೀಕ್ಷಿಸಿಲು ಗೋಳಾಟವೂ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿತ್ತು.
8 Woe unto them that join house to house, that lay field to field, till there be no room, and ye be made to dwell alone in the midst of the land!
೮ಅಯ್ಯೋ, ಮನೆಗೆ ಮನೆಯನ್ನೂ, ಹೊಲಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊಲವನ್ನೂ ಸೇರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾ ಬಂದು, ಇತರರಿಗೆ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಸ್ಥಳವನ್ನೂ ಬಿಡದೆ ದೇಶದ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ತಾವೇ ತಾವಾಗಿ ವಾಸಿಸುವವರ ಗತಿಯನ್ನು ಏನು ಹೇಳಲಿ!
9 In mine ears [saith] the LORD of hosts, Of a truth many houses shall be desolate, even great and fair, without inhabitant.
೯ನನ್ನ ಕಿವಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇನಾಧೀಶ್ವರನಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಹೇಳುವುದೇನೆಂದರೆ, ಸೊಗಸಾದ ಅನೇಕ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಮನೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಜನರು ವಾಸಮಾಡದೆ ಅವು ಖಂಡಿತವಾಗಿ ಹಾಳು ಬೀಳುವುವು.
10 For ten acres of vineyard shall yield one bath, and a homer of seed shall yield [but] an ephah.
೧೦ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಹತ್ತು ಎಕರೆ ಭಾಗವಾಯಿತು. ಭೂಮಿಯು ನಾಲ್ಕು ಕೊಳಗದಷ್ಟೇ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಾರಸವನ್ನಿಯುವುದು. ಬಿತ್ತಿದ ಒಂದು ಖಂಡುಗ ಬೀಜದಿಂದ ಕಡಿಮೆ ದವಸವು ಬರುವುದು.
11 Woe unto them that rise up early in the morning, that they may follow strong drink; that tarry late into the night, till wine inflame them!
೧೧ಅಯ್ಯೋ, ಮದ್ಯದ ಗೀಳಿನಿಂದಲೇ ಮುಂಜಾನೆ ಎದ್ದು, ಸಂಜೆಯಾದ ಮೇಲೂ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಾರಸದಿಂದ ಅಮಲೇರಿದವರಾಗಿ ಕಾಲ ಕಳೆಯುವವರ ಗತಿಯನ್ನು ಏನೆಂದು ಹೇಳಲಿ!
12 And the harp and the lute, the tabret and the pipe, and wine, are [in] their feasts: but they regard not the work of the LORD, neither have they considered the operation of his hands.
೧೨ಕಿನ್ನರಿ, ವೀಣೆ, ದಮ್ಮಡಿ, ಕೊಳಲು ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಾರಸ ಇವುಗಳೇ ಅವರ ಔತಣಗಳ ಸೊಬಗು. ಯೆಹೋವನ ಕೆಲಸವನ್ನೋ ಅವರು ಲಕ್ಷಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಆತನ ಕೈಕೆಲಸವನ್ನು ಆಲೋಚಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
13 Therefore my people are gone into captivity, for lack of knowledge: and their honourable men are famished, and their multitude are parched with thirst.
೧೩ಆದಕಾರಣ ನನ್ನ ಜನರು ಜ್ಞಾನಹೀನರಾಗಿ ಸೆರೆಗೆ ಹೋಗುವುದು ಖಂಡಿತ. ಘನವಂತರು ಹಸಿಯುವರು ಮತ್ತು ಜನಸಮೂಹವು ಬಾಯಾರಿಕೆಯಿಂದ ಒಣಗುವುದು.
14 Therefore hell hath enlarged her desire, and opened her mouth without measure: and their glory, and their multitude, and their pomp, and he that rejoiceth among them, descend [into it]. (Sheol h7585)
೧೪ಹೀಗಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ಪಾತಾಳವು ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಆತುರದಿಂದ ಅಗಾಧವಾಗಿ ಬಾಯಿ ತೆರೆಯಲು, ಅವರ ಮಹಿಮೆ, ಕೋಲಾಹಲ, ಗದ್ದಲ, ಉಲ್ಲಾಸ ಇವೆಲ್ಲವುಗಳು ಅದರೊಳಗೆ ಬಿದ್ದುಹೋಗುವವು. (Sheol h7585)
15 And the mean man is bowed down, and the great man is humbled, and the eyes of the lofty are humbled:
೧೫ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಕುಗ್ಗಿಸಲ್ಪಡುವನು. ಅಹಂಭಾವದ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳು ಕಂಗೆಡುವವು.
16 but the LORD of hosts is exalted in judgment, and God the Holy One is sanctified in righteousness.
೧೬ಸೇನಾಧೀಶ್ವರನಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನೋ ನ್ಯಾಯತೀರಿಸುವುದರಲ್ಲಿ ಉನ್ನತೋನ್ನತನಾಗಿ ಕಾಣಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವನು. ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧನಾದ ದೇವರು ಧರ್ಮವನ್ನು ನಡೆಸುವುದರಲ್ಲಿ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧನು ಎಂದು ಅನಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವನು.
17 Then shall the lambs feed as in their pasture, and the waste places of the fat ones shall wanderers eat.
೧೭ಪಟ್ಟಣ ಪ್ರದೇಶಗಳು ಹಾಳಾಗಿ ಪಶುಪಾಲಕರಿಗೆ ಹುಲ್ಲುಗಾವಲುಗಳಾಗುವವು. ಕುರಿಮರಿಗಳು ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಮೇಯುವವು.
18 Woe unto them that draw iniquity with cords of vanity, and sin as it were with a cart rope:
೧೮ಅಯ್ಯೋ, ವ್ಯರ್ಥವಾದ ಹಗ್ಗಗಳಿಂದ ಅಪರಾಧ ದಂಡನೆಯನ್ನು, ರಥವನ್ನು ಹಗ್ಗಗಳಿಂದಲೋ ಎಂಬಂತೆ ಪಾಪವನ್ನು ಎಳೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾ,
19 that say, Let him make speed, let him hasten his work, that we may see it: and let the counsel of the Holy One of Israel draw nigh and come, that we may know it!
೧೯ನಾವು ಆತನ ಕೆಲಸವನ್ನು ನೋಡುವಂತೆ ಆತನು ತ್ವರೆಯಾಗಿ ಅದನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಲಿ. ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ಸದಮಲಸ್ವಾಮಿಯ ಉದ್ದೇಶವನ್ನು ನಾವು ತಿಳಿಯಬೇಕು. ಅದು ಆದಷ್ಟು ಬೇಗ ಬರಲಿ ಎಂದು ನುಡಿಯುವವರ ದುರವಸ್ಥೆಯನ್ನು ಏನು ಹೇಳಲಿ!
20 Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
೨೦ಅಯ್ಯೋ, ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದನ್ನು ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದೆಂದೂ, ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದನ್ನು ಕೆಟ್ಟದೆಂದೂ ಬೋಧಿಸಿ; ಕತ್ತಲನ್ನು ಬೆಳಕೆಂದೂ, ಬೆಳಕನ್ನು ಕತ್ತಲೆಂದೂ ಸಾಧಿಸಿ; ಕಹಿಯನ್ನು ಸಿಹಿಯೆಂದು, ಸಿಹಿಯನ್ನು ಕಹಿ ಎಂದು ಎಣಿಸುವವರ ಗತಿಯನ್ನು ಏನೆಂದು ಹೇಳಲಿ!
21 Woe unto them that are wise their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight!
೨೧ಅಯ್ಯೋ, ತಮ್ಮನ್ನು ತಾವೇ ಜ್ಞಾನಿಗಳೆಂದೂ, ಸ್ವಂತ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಿವೇಕಿಗಳೆಂದೂ ಭಾವಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವವರ ಗತಿಯನ್ನು ಏನು ಹೇಳಲಿ!
22 Woe unto them that are mighty to drink wine, and men of strength to mingle strong drink:
೨೨ಅಯ್ಯೋ, ಸುರಾಪಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ಶೂರರೂ, ಮದ್ಯಮಿಶ್ರಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಹಸಿಗಳೂ;
23 which justify the wicked for a reward, and take away the righteousness of the righteous from him!
೨೩ಲಂಚಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ದೋಷಿಗಳನ್ನು ನಿರ್ದೋಷಿಗಳೆಂದು ತೀರ್ಪುಮಾಡಿ, ನ್ಯಾಯವಂತರ ನ್ಯಾಯವನ್ನು ಹಾಳುಮಾಡುವವರ ಗತಿಯನ್ನು ಏನು ಹೇಳಲಿ!
24 Therefore as the tongue of fire devoureth the stubble, and as the dry grass sinketh down in the flame, so their root shall be as rottenness, and their blossom shall go up as dust: because they have rejected the law of the LORD of hosts, and despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.
೨೪ಅವರು ಸೇನಾಧೀಶ್ವರನಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಉಪದೇಶವನ್ನು ನಿರಾಕರಿಸಿ, ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ಸದಮಲಸ್ವಾಮಿಯ ವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನು ಅಸಡ್ಡೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅಗ್ನಿಯ ನಾಲಿಗೆಗಳು ಒಣಕೊಳೆಯನ್ನು ನುಂಗಿಬಿಡುವಂತೆಯೂ, ಒಣಹುಲ್ಲು ಬೆಂಕಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಟ್ಟುಬಿಡುವಂತೆಯೂ, ಅದರ ಬೇರು ಕೊಳೆತು ಹೋಗುವಂತೆಯೂ, ಅದರ ಚಿಗುರು ಧೂಳಿನಂತೆಯೂ ತೂರಿ ಹೋಗುವುದು.
25 Therefore is the anger of the LORD kindled against his people, and he hath stretched forth his hand against them, and hath smitten them, and the hills did tremble, and their carcases were as refuse in the midst of the streets. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.
೨೫ಹೀಗಿರಲು ಯೆಹೋವನು ತನ್ನ ಜನರ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೋಪಗೊಂಡು, ಅವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೈಯೆತ್ತಿ, ಅವರನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆದುಬಿಡುವನು. ಆಗ ಬೆಟ್ಟಗಳು ನಡಗುವವು. ಹೆಣಗಳು ಬೀದಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕಸವಾಗಿ ಬಿದ್ದಿರುವವು. ಇಷ್ಟೆಲ್ಲಾ ನಡೆದರೂ ಆತನ ಕೋಪವು ತೀರದೇ ಕೈಯೆತ್ತಿಯೇ ಇರುವುದು.
26 And he will lift up an ensign to the nations from far, and will hiss for them from the end of the earth: and, behold, they shall come with speed swiftly:
೨೬ಆತನು ದೂರದ ಜನಾಂಗದವರಿಗೆ ಗುರುತಾಗಿ ಧ್ವಜವೆತ್ತಿ, ಅವರನ್ನು ಭೂಲೋಕದ ಅಂಚಿನಿಂದ ಸಿಳ್ಳು ಹಾಕಿ ಕರೆಯುವನು. ಇಗೋ ಅವರೆಲ್ಲ ತ್ವರೆಪಟ್ಟು ವೇಗವಾಗಿ ಬರುತ್ತಾರೆ.
27 None shall be weary nor stumble among them; none shall slumber nor sleep; neither shall the girdle of their loins be loosed, nor the latchet of their shoes be broken:
೨೭ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾರೂ ಬಳಲಿ ಮುಗ್ಗರಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಯಾರೂ ತೂಕಡಿಸಿ ನಿದ್ರಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಅವರ ನಡುಕಟ್ಟು ಬಿಚ್ಚಿಲ್ಲ. ಅವರ ಕೆರದ ಬಾರು ಹರಿಯುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
28 whose arrows are sharp, and all their bows bent; their horses’ hoofs shall be counted like flint, and their wheels like a whirlwind:
೨೮ಅವರ ಬಾಣಗಳು ಹದವಾಗಿವೆ. ಅವರ ಬಿಲ್ಲುಗಳು ಬಿಗಿದಿವೆ. ಅವರ ಕುದುರೆಗಳ ಗೊರಸುಗಳು ಕಲ್ಲಿನಂತೆಯೂ, ಚಕ್ರಗಳು ಬಿರುಗಾಳಿಯಂತೆಯೂ ರಭಸವಾಗಿವೆ.
29 their roaring shall be like a lion, they shall roar like young lions: yea, they shall roar, and lay hold of the prey, and carry it away safe, and there shall be none to deliver.
೨೯ಅವರು ಸಿಂಹದಂತೆ ಘರ್ಜಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಪ್ರಾಯದ ಸಿಂಹಗಳ ಹಾಗೆ ಆರ್ಭಟಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಗುರುಗುಟ್ಟುತ್ತಾ ಬೇಟೆ ಹಿಡಿದು ಹೊತ್ತುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುತ್ತಾರೆ. ರಕ್ಷಿಸುವವರು ಯಾರೂ ಇಲ್ಲ.
30 And they shall roar against them in that day like the roaring of the sea: and if one look unto the land, behold darkness [and] distress, and the light is darkened in the clouds thereof.
೩೦ಸಮುದ್ರವು ಭೋರ್ಗರೆಯುವಂತೆ ಆ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಇವರು ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರನ್ನು ಕಂಡು ಗರ್ಜಿಸುವರು. ಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನು ದೃಷ್ಟಿಸಿದರೆ ಅಂಧಕಾರವೂ, ವ್ಯಾಕುಲವೂ ತುಂಬಿರುವುದು. ಮೋಡ ಕವಿದು ಬೆಳಕು ಕತ್ತಲಾಗುವುದು.
