Isaiah 3
1 For, behold, the Lord, the LORD of hosts, doth take away from Jerusalem and from Judah stay and staff, the whole stay of bread, and the whole stay of water;
Denn siehe, der Herr Jehovah Zebaoth nimmt von Jerusalem und von Judah Stütze und Stecken weg, alle Stütze des Brotes und alle Stütze des Wassers,
2 the mighty man, and the man of war; the judge, and the prophet, and the diviner, and the ancient;
Den Helden und den Mann des Krieges, den Richter und den Propheten, den Wahrsager und den Ältesten;
3 the captain of fifty, and the honourable man, and the counsellor, and the cunning artificer, and the skilful enchanter.
Den Obersten von Fünfzig, den Angesehenen und den Rat, den weisen Flüsterer und den, der Beschwörung versteht.
4 And I will give children to be their princes, and babes shall rule over them.
Und Ich gebe Jungen zu ihren Obersten, und Unmündige sollen herrschen über sie.
5 And the people shall be oppressed, every one by another, and every one by his neighbour: the child shall behave himself proudly against the ancient, and the base against the honourable.
Und erpressen wird das Volk, Mann wider Mann, und der Mann wider seinen Genossen. Wider den Greis erfrecht sich der Junge und wider den Geehrten der Geringe.
6 When a man shall take hold of his brother in the house of his father, [saying], Thou hast clothing, be thou our ruler, and let this ruin be under thy hand:
Ein Mann erfaßt seinen Bruder von des Vaters Haus: Du hast ein Gewand, sollst unser Anführer sein, und dieser Trümmerhaufen sei unter deine Hand!
7 in that day shall he lift up [his voice], saying, I will not be an healer; for in my house is neither bread nor clothing: ye shall not make me ruler of the people.
Der hebt an selben Tage an zu sprechen: Ich werde nicht verbinden; und es ist kein Brot in meinem Haus und kein Gewand; setzt mich nicht dem Volk zum Anführer.
8 For Jerusalem is ruined, and Judah is fallen: because their tongue and their doings are against the LORD, to provoke the eyes of his glory.
Denn es strauchelt Jerusalem und Jehudah ist gefallen, weil ihre Zunge und was sie tun wider Jehovah ist, sich dem Auge Seiner Herrlichkeit widersetzt.
9 The shew of their countenance doth witness against them; and they declare their sin as Sodom, they hide it not. Woe unto their soul! for they have rewarded evil unto themselves.
Die Frechheit ihres Angesichts antwortet wider sie. Und sie sagen an ihre Sünde wie Sodom, verhehlen nicht. Wehe ihrer Seele, sie erweisen sich selber Böses.
10 Say ye of the righteous, that [it shall be] well [with him]: for they shall eat the fruit of their doings.
Saget dem Gerechten: Es ist gut, denn die Frucht ihrer Handlungen werden sie essen.
11 Woe unto the wicked! [it shall be] ill [with him]: for the reward of his hands shall be given him.
Wehe dem Ungerechten, es ist böse; denn seiner Hände Verdienst wird ihm getan.
12 As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people, they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths.
Mein Volk, seine Treiber sind Kindlein und Weiber herrschen über es. Mein Volk, die so dich anleiten, führen dich irre, und verschlingen deiner Pfade Weg.
13 The LORD standeth up to plead, and standeth to judge the peoples.
Jehovah ist aufgetreten zu hadern, und steht, den Völkern Recht zu sprechen!
14 The LORD will enter into judgment with the elders of his people, and the princes thereof: It is ye that have eaten up the vineyard; the spoil of the poor is in your houses:
Jehovah kommt ins Gericht mit den Ältesten Seines Volkes und seinen Obersten: Und ihr habt den Weinberg abgebrannt und das dem Elenden Entrissene in euren Häusern.
15 what mean ye that ye crush my people, and grind the face of the poor? saith the Lord, the LORD of hosts.
Was ist euch? Zerstoßen habt ihr Mein Volk und das Angesicht der Elenden zermahlen! spricht der Herr, Jehovah Zebaoth.
16 Moreover the LORD said, Because the daughters of Zion are haughty, and walk with stretched forth necks and wanton eyes, walking and mincing as they go, and making a tinkling with their feet:
Und Jehovah spricht: Weil Zions Töchter hoffärtig sind, und die Kehle gereckt dahergehen und die Augen umherwerfen, gehen und trippelnd einhergehen und mit ihren Fußspangen klirren:
17 therefore the Lord will smite with a scab the crown of the head of the daughters of Zion, and the LORD will lay bare their secret parts.
So wird der Herr den Scheitel der Töchter Zions kahl machen, und Jehovah wird ihre Scham entblößen.
18 In that day the Lord will take away the bravery of their anklets, and the cauls, and the crescents;
Am selben Tage wird der Herr wegnehmen der Knöchelringe Schmuck und der Netze und der kleinen Monde;
19 the pendants, and the bracelets, and the mufflers;
Das Halsgeschmeide und die Kettchen und die Goldblättchen;
20 the headtires, and the ankle chains, and the sashes, and the perfume boxes, and the amulets;
Den Kopfschmuck und die Schrittfesseln, die Bänder und die Riechfläschchen und Ohrgehänge;
21 the rings, and the nose jewels;
Die Fingerringe und die Nasenringe;
22 the festival robes, and the mantles, and the shawls, and the satchels;
Die Feierkleider und die Mäntel, und die Oberkleider und die Beutel;
23 the hand mirrors, and the fine linen, and the turbans, and the veils.
Die Spiegel, und die Hemdchen und die Kopfbinden und Überwürfe.
24 And it shall come to pass, that instead of sweet spices there shall be rottenness; and instead of a girdle a rope; and instead of well set hair baldness; and instead of a stomacher a girding of sackcloth: branding instead of beauty.
Und geschehen wird, daß statt Gewürzduft Moder da sein wird, statt eines Gürtels Lappen, Kahlheit statt des Lockwerks, und statt des weiten Mantels ein Sack umgegürtet, Brandmal statt Schönheit.
25 Thy men shall fall by the sword, and thy mighty in the war.
Es werden deine Leute durch das Schwert fallen und deine Macht im Streit.
26 And her gates shall lament and mourn; and she shall be desolate and sit upon the ground.
Und ihre Pforten ächzen und trauern, und verödet sitzt sie auf der Erde.
