Hosea 12

1 Ephraim feedeth on wind, and followeth after the east wind: he continually multiplieth lies and desolation; and they make a covenant with Assyria, and oil is carried into Egypt.

ଇଫ୍ରୟିମ ବାୟୁ ଭୋଜନ କରେ ଓ ପୂର୍ବୀୟ ବାୟୁର ପଛେ ପଛେ ଗମନ କରେ; ସେ ସର୍ବଦା ମିଥ୍ୟା କଥା ଓ ଉପଦ୍ରବ ବୃଦ୍ଧି କରେ ଓ ସେମାନେ ଅଶୂରର ସହିତ ନିୟମ କରନ୍ତି ଓ ମିସରକୁ ତୈଳ ପଠାନ୍ତି।

2 The LORD hath also a controversy with Judah, and will punish Jacob according to his ways; according to his doings will he recompense him.

ଆହୁରି, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଓ ଯିହୁଦା ମଧ୍ୟରେ ବିବାଦ ଅଛି, ସେ ଯାକୁବକୁ ତାହାର ଆଚରଣ ଅନୁଯାୟୀ ଦଣ୍ଡ ଦେବେ; ତାହାର କ୍ରିୟାନୁସାରେ ସେ ତାହାକୁ ପ୍ରତିଫଳ ଦେବେ।

3 In the womb he took his brother by the heel; and in his manhood he had power with God:

ଗର୍ଭରେ ସେ ଆପଣା ଭ୍ରାତାର ପାଦମୂଳ ଧରିଲା ଓ ବୟଃପ୍ରାପ୍ତ ସମୟରେ ସେ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ସହିତ ଯୁଦ୍ଧ କଲା;

4 yea, he had power over the angel, and prevailed: he wept, and made supplication unto him: he found him at Beth-el, and there he spake with us;

ହଁ, ସେ ଦୂତ ଉପରେ ବଳବାନ ହୋଇ ଜୟ କଲା; ସେ କ୍ରନ୍ଦନ କରି ତାହାଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ବିନତି କଲା; ସେ ବେଥେଲ୍‍ରେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ଉଦ୍ଦେଶ୍ୟ ପାଇଲା, ଆଉ ସେଠାରେ ସେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ କଥା କହିଲେ।

5 even the LORD, the God of hosts; the LORD is his memorial.

ସେହି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ସୈନ୍ୟାଧିପତି ପରମେଶ୍ୱର; ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତାହାଙ୍କର ସ୍ମରଣୀୟ ନାମ।

6 Therefore turn thou to thy God: keep mercy and judgment, and wait on thy God continually.

ଏଥିନିମନ୍ତେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣା ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଫେର; ଦୟା ଓ ନ୍ୟାୟବିଚାର ପାଳନ କର ଓ ସର୍ବଦା ତୁମ୍ଭ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ଅପେକ୍ଷାରେ ଥାଅ।

7 [He is] a trafficker, the balances of deceit are in his hand: he loveth to oppress.

ସେ ଜଣେ ବ୍ୟବସାୟୀ ଅଟେ, ତାହାର ହସ୍ତରେ ଛଳନାର ନିକ୍ତି ଅଛି; ସେ ଉପଦ୍ରବ କରିବାକୁ ଭଲ ପାଏ।

8 And Ephraim said, Surely I am become rich, I have found me wealth: in all my labours they shall find in me none iniquity that were sin.

ପୁଣି, ଇଫ୍ରୟିମ କହିଲା, “ନିଶ୍ଚୟ ମୁଁ ଧନୀ ହୋଇଅଛି, ମୁଁ ଆପଣା ନିମନ୍ତେ ସମ୍ପତ୍ତି ପାଇଅଛି; ମୋʼ ର ସବୁ ପରିଶ୍ରମରେ ସେମାନେ ପାପଯୁକ୍ତ କୌଣସି ଅଧର୍ମ ମୋʼ ଠାରେ ପାଇବେ ନାହିଁ।”

9 But I am the LORD thy God from the land of Egypt; I will yet again make thee to dwell in tents, as in the days of the solemn feast.

ମାତ୍ର ମିସର ଦେଶଠାରୁ ଆମ୍ଭେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭର ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ଅଟୁ; ଆମ୍ଭେ ମହାପର୍ବ ଦିନର ନ୍ୟାୟ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ପୁନର୍ବାର ତମ୍ବୁରେ ବାସ କରାଇବା।

10 I have also spoken unto the prophets, and I have multiplied visions; and by the ministry of the prophets have I used similitudes.

ଆହୁରି, ଆମ୍ଭେ ଭବିଷ୍ୟଦ୍‍ବକ୍ତାଗଣ ନିକଟରେ କଥା କହିଅଛୁ ଓ ଆମ୍ଭେ ନାନା ଦର୍ଶନର ବୃଦ୍ଧି କରିଅଛୁ; ଆଉ ଭବିଷ୍ୟଦ୍‍ବକ୍ତାଗଣ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଦୃଷ୍ଟାନ୍ତର କଥା ବ୍ୟବହାର କରିଅଛୁ।

11 Is Gilead iniquity? they are altogether vanity; in Gilgal they sacrifice bullocks: yea, their altars are as heaps in the furrows of the field.

ଯଦି ଗିଲୀୟଦରେ କିଛି ଅଧର୍ମ ଅଛି, ତେବେ ସେମାନେ ସର୍ବତୋଃଭାବେ ଅସାର; ଗିଲ୍‍ଗଲ୍‍ରେ ସେମାନେ ବୃଷ ବଳିଦାନ କରନ୍ତି; ହଁ, କ୍ଷେତ୍ରସ୍ଥ ଶିଆରର ଢିପି ପରି ସେମାନଙ୍କର ଯଜ୍ଞବେଦି ଅଛି।

12 And Jacob fled into the field of Aram, and Israel served for a wife, and for a wife he kept [sheep].

ପୁଣି, ଯାକୁବ ଅରାମ ଦେଶକୁ ପଳାଇଗଲା ଓ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ଭାର୍ଯ୍ୟାର ନିମନ୍ତେ ଦାସ୍ୟକର୍ମ କଲା ଓ ଭାର୍ଯ୍ୟା ନିମନ୍ତେ ମେଷ ଚରାଇଲା।

13 And by a prophet the LORD brought Israel up out of Egypt, and by a prophet was he preserved.

ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଏକ ଜଣ ଭବିଷ୍ୟଦ୍‍ବକ୍ତା ଦ୍ୱାରା ଇସ୍ରାଏଲକୁ ମିସରରୁ ବାହାର କରି ଆଣିଲେ ଓ ଏକ ଜଣ ଭବିଷ୍ୟଦ୍‍ବକ୍ତା ଦ୍ୱାରା ସେ ରକ୍ଷିତ ହେଲା।

14 Ephraim hath provoked to anger most bitterly: therefore shall his blood be left upon him, and his reproach shall his Lord return unto him.

ଇଫ୍ରୟିମ ଅତିଶୟ ବିରକ୍ତ କରାଇଅଛି; ଏଥିପାଇଁ ତାହାର ରକ୍ତର ଦୋଷ ତାହା ଉପରେ ରହିବ ଓ ତାହାର ପ୍ରଭୁ ତାହା ଉପରେ ତାହାର ଅପମାନ ବର୍ତ୍ତାଇବେ।
