Ezekiel 4
1 Thou also, son of man, take thee a tile, and lay it before thee, and pourtray upon it a city, even Jerusalem:
૧વળી હે મનુષ્યપુત્ર, એક ઈંટ લઈને તારી આગળ મૂક. તેના પર યરુશાલેમનું ચિત્ર દોર.
2 and lay siege against it, and build forts against it, and cast up a mount against it; set camps also against it, and plant battering rams against it round about.
૨પછી તેની સામે ઘેરો ઘાલીને કિલ્લા બાંધ. તેની સામે હુમલો કરવા માટે રસ્તા બનાવ અને તેની સામે છાવણીઓ પણ ઊભી કર. ચારેબાજુ કોટનો નાશ કરવાના યંત્રો ગોઠવ.
3 And take thou unto thee an iron pan, and set it for a wall of iron between thee and the city: and set thy face toward it, and it shall be besieged, and thou shalt lay siege against it. This shall be a sign to the house of Israel.
૩તું લોખંડનો એક તવો લે, તારી અને નગરની વચ્ચે લોખંડની દીવાલ તરીકે મૂક. તું તારું મુખ શહેરની તરફ ફેરવ, તેનો ઘેરો ઘાલવામાં આવશે. તું તેની વિરુદ્ધ ઘેરો ઘાલશે! આ ઇઝરાયલી લોકો માટે ચિહ્નરૂપ થશે.
4 Moreover lie thou upon thy left side, and lay the iniquity of the house of Israel upon it: [according to] the number of the days that thou shalt lie upon it, thou shalt bear their iniquity.
૪પછી, તું તારે ડાબે પડખે સૂઈ જા. અને ઇઝરાયલી લોકોનાં પાપ તેઓના પોતાના પર મૂક; તું જેટલા દિવસ ડાબે પડખે સૂઈ રહેશે તેટલા દિવસ માટે તારે ઇઝરાયલનાં પાપોનો બોજ ઉઠાવશે.
5 For I have appointed the years of their iniquity to be unto thee a number of days, even three hundred and ninety days: so shalt thou bear the iniquity of the house of Israel.
૫મેં ઠરાવ્યું છે કે તેઓનાં પાપોના વરસો તેટલાં દિવસો સુધી, ત્રણસોને નેવું દિવસ સુધી તું ઇઝરાયલી લોકોના પાપનો બોજ ઉઠાવશે.
6 And again, when thou hast accomplished these, thou shalt lie on thy right side, and shalt bear the iniquity of the house of Judah: forty days, each day for a year, have I appointed it unto thee.
૬તે દિવસો પૂરા કર્યા પછી, ફરી તું તારા જમણા પડખા પર સૂઈ જા, તું ચાલીસ દિવસ યહૂદિયાના લોકોના પાપનો બોજ ઉઠાવ. દરેક વરસને માટે એક દિવસ એ પ્રમાણે તારે માટે મેં ચાલીસ દિવસ ઠરાવ્યા છે.
7 And thou shalt set thy face toward the siege of Jerusalem, with thine arm uncovered; and thou shalt prophesy against it.
૭પછી તું તારો હાથ ખુલ્લો રાખીને યરુશાલેમના ઘેરા તરફ તારું મુખ ફેરવ. તારે તે શહેરની વિરુદ્ધ ભવિષ્ય ભાખવું.
8 And, behold, I lay bands upon thee, and thou shalt not turn thee from one side to another, till thou hast accomplished the days of thy siege.
૮કેમ કે જો, હું તને દોરડાં વડે બાંધું છું, ઘેરાના દિવસ પૂરા થતાં સુધી તું એક પડખેથી બીજે પડખે ફરી નહિ શકે.
9 Take thou also unto thee wheat, and barley, and beans, and lentils, and millet, and spelt, and put them in one vessel, and make thee bread thereof; [according to] the number of the days that thou shalt lie upon thy side, even three hundred and ninety days, shalt thou eat thereof.
૯તારે પોતાને સારુ ઘઉં, જવ, વટાણા, મસૂર, બાજરી તથા મઠ લે. બાજરીનો લોટ લઈને એક જ વાસણમાં નાખી તેના રોટલા બનાવ. જેટલા દિવસ તું તારા પડખા પર સૂઈ રહે એટલે ત્રણસોને નેવું દિવસ સુધી તારે તે રોટલા ખાવા.
10 And thy meat which thou shalt eat shall be by weight, twenty shekels a day: from time to time shalt thou eat it.
૧૦આ તારો ખોરાક છે જે તારે તોળીને ખાવો. રોજના વીસ તોલા પ્રમાણે ખાવું. નિયમિત સમયે તારે તે ખાવું.
11 And thou shalt drink water by measure, the sixth part of an hin: from time to time shalt thou drink.
૧૧તારે પાણી પણ માપીને જ પીવું, એટલે એક હિનના છઠ્ઠા ભાગ જેટલું. તારે તે નિયમિત પીવું.
12 And thou shalt eat it as barley cakes, and thou shalt bake it in their sight with dung that cometh out of man.
૧૨તારે તે જવની રોટલીની માફક ખાવું, પણ તારે તે મનુષ્યવિષ્ટાથી શેકવું.
13 And the LORD said, Even thus shall the children of Israel eat their bread unclean, among the nations whither I will drive them.
૧૩કેમ કે યહોવાહ કહે છે કે “હું જે પ્રજાઓમાં તેઓને હાંકી કાઢીશ તેઓમાં ઇઝરાયલી લોકો આ રીતે અશુદ્ધ થયેલો ખોરાક ખાશે.”
14 Then said I, Ah Lord GOD! behold, my soul hath not been polluted: for from my youth up even till now have I not eaten of that which dieth of itself, or is torn of beasts; neither came there abominable flesh into my mouth;
૧૪પણ મેં કહ્યું, “અરેરે, પ્રભુ યહોવાહ, મેં મારા આત્માને અશુદ્ધ કર્યો નથી, મેં બાળપણથી તે આજ સુધી મૃત્યુ પામેલું કે પશુએ મારી નાખેલું પશુ ખાધું નથી, નાપાક માંસ મારા મુખમાં પ્રવેશ્યું નથી.
15 Then he said unto me, See, I have given thee cow’s dung for man’s dung, and thou shalt prepare thy bread thereon.
૧૫ત્યારે તેમણે મને કહ્યું, “જો મેં તને મનુષ્યવિષ્ટાને બદલે ગાયનું છાણ આપ્યું છે કે જેથી તું ગાયના છાણ પર રોટલી શેકી શકે.”
16 Moreover he said unto me, Son of man, behold, I will break the staff of bread in Jerusalem: and they shall eat bread by weight, and with carefulness; and they shall drink water by measure, and with astonishment:
૧૬વળી તેમણે મને કહ્યું, “હે મનુષ્યપુત્ર, જો, હું યરુશાલેમના અનાજનો ભંડાર ખાલી કરીશ, તેઓ તોળીને તથા સંભાળ રાખીને રોટલી ખાશે, માપીને તથા બીને પાણી પીશે.
17 that they may want bread and water, and be astonied one with another, and pine away in their iniquity.
૧૭કેમ કે તેઓને ખોરાક તથા પાણીની અછત થશે, પછી તેઓ હતાશ થઈને પોતાના ભાઈઓ સામે જોશે અને તેઓના અન્યાયને કારણે ઝૂરીઝૂરીને તેઓનો નાશ થશે.”
