Ezekiel 20
1 And it came to pass in the seventh year, in the fifth [month], the tenth [day] of the month, that certain of the elders of Israel came to inquire of the LORD, and sat before me.
E aconteceu, no setimo anno, no mez quinto, aos dez do mez, que vieram alguns dos anciãos de Israel, para consultarem o Senhor; e assentaram-se diante de mim.
2 And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
Então veiu a mim a palavra do Senhor, dizendo:
3 Son of man, speak unto the elders of Israel, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD: Are ye come to inquire of me? As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I will not be inquired of by you.
Filho do homem, falla aos anciãos de Israel, e dize-lhes: Assim diz o Senhor Jehovah: Vindes vós consultar-me? vivo eu, que vós não me consultareis, diz o Senhor Jehovah.
4 Wilt thou judge them, son of man, wilt thou judge them? Cause them to know the abominations of their fathers;
Porventura tu os julgarias, julgarias tu, ó filho do homem? notifica-lhes as abominações de seus paes;
5 and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD: In the day when I chose Israel, and lifted up mine hand unto the seed of the house of Jacob, and made myself known unto them in the land of Egypt, when I lifted up mine hand unto them, Saying, I am the LORD your God;
E dize-lhes: Assim diz o Senhor Jehovah: No dia em que escolhi a Israel, levantei a minha mão para a semente da casa de Jacob, e me dei a conhecer a elles na terra do Egypto, e levantei a minha mão para elles, dizendo: Eu sou o Senhor vosso Deus;
6 in that day I lifted up mine hand unto them, to bring them forth out of the land of Egypt into a land that I had espied for them, flowing with milk and honey, which is the glory of all lands:
N'aquelle dia levantei a minha mão para elles, que os tiraria da terra do Egypto, para uma terra que já tinha previsto para elles, que mana leite e mel, que é a gloria de todas as terras.
7 And I said unto them, Cast ye away every man the abominations of his eyes, and defile not yourselves with the idols of Egypt; I am the LORD your God.
Então lhes disse: Cada um lance de si as abominações dos seus olhos, e não vos contamineis com os idolos do Egypto: eu sou o Senhor vosso Deus.
8 But they rebelled against me, and would not hearken unto me; they did not every man cast away the abominations of their eyes, neither did they forsake the idols of Egypt: then I said I would pour out my fury upon them, to accomplish my anger against them in the midst of the land of Egypt.
Porém rebellaram-se contra mim, e não me quizeram ouvir; ninguem lançava de si as abominações dos seus olhos, nem deixava os idolos do Egypto: então eu disse que derramaria sobre elles o meu furor, para cumprir a minha ira contra elles no meio da terra do Egypto.
9 But I wrought for my name’s sake, that it should not be profaned in the sight of the nations, among whom they were, in whose sight I made myself known unto them, in bringing them forth out of the land of Egypt.
Porém obrei por amor do meu nome, para que não fosse profanado diante dos olhos das nações, no meio das quaes estavam, a cujos olhos eu me dei a conhecer a elles, para os tirar para fóra da terra do Egypto.
10 So I caused them to go forth out of the land of Egypt, and brought them into the wilderness.
E os tirei para fóra da terra do Egypto, e os levei ao deserto.
11 And I gave them my statutes, and shewed them my judgments, which if a man do, he shall live in them.
E dei-lhes os meus estatutos, e lhes mostrei os meus juizos, os quaes, se os fizer o homem, viverá por elles.
12 Moreover also I gave them my sabbaths, to be a sign between me and them, that they might know that I am the LORD that sanctify them.
E tambem lhes dei os meus sabbados, para que servissem de signal entre mim e entre elles: para que soubessem que eu sou o Senhor que os sanctifica.
13 But the house of Israel rebelled against me in the wilderness: they walked not in my statutes, and they rejected my judgments, which if a man do, he shall live in them; and my sabbaths they greatly profaned: then I said I would pour out my fury upon them in the wilderness, to consume them.
Mas a casa de Israel se rebellou contra mim no deserto, não andando nos meus estatutos, e rejeitando os meus juizos, os quaes, fazendo-os, o homem viverá por elles; e profanaram grandemente os meus sabbados; e eu disse que derramaria sobre elles o meu furor no deserto, para os consumir.
14 But I wrought for my name’s sake, that it should not be profaned in the sight of the nations, in whose sight I brought them out.
Porém obrei por amor do meu nome, para que não fosse profanado diante dos olhos das nações perante cujos olhos os fiz sair.
15 Moreover also I lifted up my hand unto them in the wilderness, that I would not bring them into the land which I had given them, flowing with milk and honey, which is the glory of all lands;
E, comtudo, eu levantei a minha mão para elles no deserto, que não os faria entrar na terra que lhes tinha dado, que mana leite e mel, que é a gloria de todas as terras,
16 because they rejected my judgments, and walked not in my statutes, and profaned my sabbaths: for their heart went after their idols.
Porque rejeitaram os meus juizos, e não andaram nos meus estatutos, e profanaram os meus sabbados; porque o seu coração andava após os seus idolos.
17 Nevertheless mine eye spared them from destroying them, neither did I make a full end of them in the wilderness.
Porém o meu olho lhes perdoou, para não os destruir nem os consumir no deserto.
18 And I said unto their children in the wilderness, Walk ye not in the statutes of your fathers, neither observe their judgments, nor defile yourselves with their idols:
Mas disse eu a seus filhos no deserto: Não andeis nos estatutos de vossos paes, nem guardeis os seus juizos, nem vos contamineis com os seus idolos.
19 I am the LORD your God; walk in my statutes, and keep my judgments, and do them:
Eu sou o Senhor vosso Deus; andae nos meus estatutos, e guardae os meus juizos, e fazei-os.
20 and hallow my sabbaths; and they shall be a sign between me and you, that ye may know that I am the LORD your God.
E sanctificae os meus sabbados, e servirão de signal entre mim e entre vós, para que saibaes que eu sou o Senhor vosso Deus.
21 But the children rebelled against me; they walked not in my statutes, neither kept my judgments to do them, which if a man do, he shall live in them; they profaned my sabbaths: then I said I would pour out my fury upon them, to accomplish my anger against them in the wilderness.
Mas tambem os filhos se rebellaram contra mim, e não andaram nos meus estatutos, nem guardaram os meus juizos para os fazer, os quaes, fazendo-os, o homem viverá por elles; tambem profanaram os meus sabbados; e eu disse que derramaria sobre elles o meu furor, para cumprir contra elles a minha ira no deserto.
22 Nevertheless I withdrew mine hand, and wrought for my name’s sake, that it should not he profaned in the sight of the nations, in whose sight I brought them forth.
Porém retirei a minha mão, e obrei por amor do meu nome, para que não fosse profanado perante os olhos das nações, perante cujos olhos os fiz sair
23 Moreover I lifted up mine hand unto them in the wilderness, that I would scatter them among the nations, and disperse them through the countries,
Tambem eu levantei a minha mão para elles no deserto, que os espalharia entre as nações, e os derramaria pelas terras;
24 because they had not executed my judgments, but had rejected my statutes, and had profaned my sabbaths, and their eyes were after their fathers’ idols.
Porque não fizeram os meus juizos, e rejeitaram os meus estatutos, e profanaram os meus sabbados, e os seus olhos se iam após os idolos de seus paes.
25 Moreover also I gave them statutes that were not good, and judgments wherein they should not live;
Pelo que tambem eu lhes dei estatutos que não eram bons, como tambem juizos pelos quaes não haviam de viver;
26 and I polluted them in their own gifts, in that they caused to pass through [the fire] all that openeth the womb, that I might make them desolate, to the end that they might know that I am the LORD.
E os contaminei em os seus dons, porquanto faziam passar pelo fogo tudo o que abre a madre: para os assolar, para que soubessem que eu sou o Senhor.
27 Therefore, son of man, speak unto the house of Israel, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD: In this moreover have your fathers blasphemed me, in that they have committed a trespass against me.
Portanto falla á casa de Israel, ó filho do homem, e dize-lhe: Assim diz o Senhor Jehovah: Ainda até n'isto me blasphemaram vossos paes, que, com uma transgressão, transgrediram contra mim
28 For when I had brought them into the land, which I lifted up mine hand to give unto them, then they saw every high hill, and every thick tree, and they offered there their sacrifices, and there they presented the provocation of their offering, there also they made their sweet savour, and they poured out there their drink offerings.
Porque, havendo-os eu introduzido na terra sobre a qual eu levantara a minha mão que lh'a havia de dar, então olharam para todo o outeiro alto, e para toda a arvore espessa, e sacrificaram ali os seus sacrificios, e apresentaram ali a provocação das suas offertas, pozeram ali os seus cheiros suaves, e ali derramaram as suas libações.
29 Then I said unto them, What meaneth the high place whereunto ye go? So the name thereof is called Bamah unto this day.
E eu lhes disse: Que alto é este, aonde vós ides? e seu nome foi chamado Bamah até ao dia de hoje.
30 Wherefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord GOD: Do ye pollute yourselves after the manner of your fathers? and go ye a whoring after their abominations?
Portanto dize á casa de Israel: Assim diz o Senhor Jehovah: Estaes vós contaminados no caminho de vossos paes? e fornicaes após as suas abominações?
31 and when ye offer your gifts, when ye make your sons to pass through the fire, do ye pollute yourselves with all your idols, unto this day? and shall I be inquired of by you, O house of Israel? As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I will not be inquired of by you:
E, quando offereceis os vossos dons, e fazeis passar os vossos filhos pelo fogo, então vós estaes contaminados com todos os vossos idolos, até este dia? e vós me consultarieis, ó casa de Israel? vivo eu, diz o Senhor Jehovah, que vós me não consultareis.
32 and that which cometh into your mind shall not be at all; in that ye say, We will be as the nations, as the families of the countries, to serve wood and stone.
E o que subiu ao vosso espirito de maneira alguma succederá, quando dizeis: Seremos como as nações, como as demais gerações da terra, servindo ao madeiro e á pedra
33 As I live, saith the Lord GOD, surely with a mighty hand, and with a stretched out arm, and with fury poured out, will I be king over you:
Vivo eu, diz o Senhor Jehovah, que com mão forte, e com braço estendido, e com indignação derramada, hei de reinar sobre vós
34 and I will bring you out from the peoples, and will gather you out of the countries wherein ye are scattered, with a mighty hand, and with a stretched out arm, and with fury poured out.
E vos tirarei d'entre os povos, e vos congregarei das terras nas quaes andaes espalhados, com mão forte, e com braço estendido, e com indignação derramada.
35 and I will bring you into the wilderness of the peoples, and there will I plead with you face to face.
E vos levarei ao deserto dos povos; e ali entrarei em juizo comvosco cara a cara.
36 Like as I pleaded with your fathers in the wilderness of the land of Egypt, so will I plead with you, saith the Lord GOD.
Como já entrei em juizo com vossos paes, no deserto da terra do Egypto, assim entrarei em juizo comvosco, diz o Senhor Jehovah.
37 And I will cause you to pass under the rod, and I will bring you into the bond of the covenant;
E vos farei passar debaixo da vara, e vos farei entrar no vinculo do concerto.
38 and I will purge out from among you the rebels, and them that transgress against me; I will bring them forth out of the land where they sojourn, but they shall not enter into the land of Israel: and ye shall know that I am the LORD.
E separarei d'entre vós os rebeldes, e os que prevaricaram contra mim; da terra das suas peregrinações os tirarei, mas á terra de Israel não voltarão: e sabereis que eu sou o Senhor.
39 As for you, O house of Israel, thus saith the Lord GOD: Go ye, serve every one his idols, and hereafter also, if ye will not hearken unto me: but my holy name shall ye no more profane with your gifts, and with your idols.
E, quanto a vós, ó casa de Israel, assim diz o Senhor Jehovah: Ide, servi cada um os seus idolos, pois que a mim me não quereis ouvir; não profaneis mais o meu sancto nome com as vossas dadivas e com os vossos idolos.
40 For in mine holy mountain, in the mountain of the height of Israel, saith the Lord GOD, there shall all the house of Israel, all of them, serve me in the land: there will I accept them, and there will I require your offerings, and the firstfruits of your oblations, with all your holy things.
Porque no meu sancto monte, no monte alto de Israel, diz o Senhor Jehovah, ali me servirá toda a casa de Israel, toda ella n'aquella terra: ali me deleitarei n'elles, e ali demandarei as vossas offertas alçadas, e as primicias das vossas dadivas, com todas as vossas coisas sanctas.
41 As a sweet savour will I accept you, when I bring you out from the peoples, and gather you out of the countries wherein ye have been scattered; and I will be sanctified in you in the sight of the nations.
Com cheiro suave me deleitarei em vós, quando eu vos tirar d'entre os povos e vos congregar das terras em que andaes espalhados; e serei sanctificado em vós perante os olhos das nações.
42 And ye shall know that I am the LORD, when I shall bring you into the land of Israel, into the country which I lifted up mine hand to give unto your fathers.
E sabereis que eu sou o Senhor, quando eu vos tiver tornado a trazer á terra de Israel, á terra pela qual levantei a minha mão para dal-a a vossos paes.
43 And there shall ye remember your ways, and all your doings, wherein ye have polluted yourselves; and ye shall loathe yourselves in your own sight for all your evils that ye have committed.
E ali vos lembrareis de vossos caminhos, e de todos os vossos tratos com que vos contaminastes, e tereis nojo de vós mesmos, por todas as vossas maldades que tendes commettido.
44 And ye shall know that I am the LORD, when I have wrought with you for my name’s sake, not according to your evil ways, nor according to your corrupt doings, O ye house of Israel, saith the Lord GOD.
E sabereis que eu sou o Senhor, quando eu obrar comvosco por amor do meu nome; não conforme os vossos maus caminhos, nem conforme os vossos tratos corruptos, ó casa de Israel, disse o Senhor Jehovah.
45 And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
E veiu a mim a palavra do Senhor, dizendo:
46 Son of man, set thy face toward the south, and drop [thy word] toward the south, and prophesy against the forest of the field in the South;
Filho do homem, dirige o teu rosto para o caminho do sul, e derrama as tuas palavras contra o sul, e prophetiza contra o bosque do campo do sul.
47 and say to the forest of the South, Hear the word of the LORD; Thus saith the Lord GOD: Behold, I will kindle a fire in thee, and it shall devour every green tree in thee, and every dry tree: the flaming flame shall not be quenched, and all faces from the south to the north shall be burnt thereby.
E dize ao bosque do sul: Ouve a palavra do Senhor: Assim diz o Senhor Jehovah: Eis que accenderei em ti um fogo que em ti consumirá toda a arvore verde e toda a arvore secca: não se apagará a chamma flammejante, antes com ella se queimarão todos os rostos, desde o sul até ao norte.
48 And all flesh shall see that I the LORD have kindled it: it shall not be quenched.
E verá toda a carne que eu, o Senhor, o accendi: não se apagará.
49 Then said I, Ah Lord GOD! they say of me, Is he not a speaker of parables?
Então disse eu: Ah! Senhor Jehovah! elles dizem de mim: Porventura não falla este por parabolas?
