Deuteronomy 32
1 Give ear, ye heavens, and I will speak; And let the earth hear the words of my mouth:
௧“வானங்களே, செவிகொடுங்கள், நான் பேசுவேன்; பூமியே, என் வாய்மொழிகளைக் கேட்பாயாக.
2 My doctrine shall drop as the rain, My speech shall distil as the dew; As the small rain upon the tender grass, And as the showers upon the herb:
௨மழையானது இளம்பயிரின்மேல் பொழிவதுபோல, என் உபதேசம் பொழியும்; பனித்துளிகள் புல்லின்மேல் இறங்குவதுபோல, என் வசனம் இறங்கும்.
3 For I will proclaim the name of the LORD: Ascribe ye greatness unto our God.
௩யெகோவாவுடைய நாமத்தை பிரபலப்படுத்துவேன்; நம்முடைய தேவனுக்கு மகத்துவத்தைச் செலுத்துங்கள்.
4 The Rock, his work is perfect; For all his ways are judgment: A God of faithfulness and without iniquity, Just and right is he.
௪“அவர் கன்மலை; அவருடைய செயல் உத்தமமானது; அவருடைய வழிகளெல்லாம் நியாயம், அவர் அநீதி இல்லாத சத்தியமுள்ள தேவன்; அவர் நீதியும் செம்மையுமானவர்.
5 They have dealt corruptly with him, [they are] not his children, [it is] their blemish; [They are] a perverse and crooked generation.
௫அவர்களோ தங்களைக் கெடுத்துக்கொண்டார்கள், அவர்கள் அவருடைய பிள்ளைகள் அல்ல; இதுவே அவர்களுடைய காரியம்; அவர்கள் மாறுபாடும் தாறுமாறுமுள்ள சந்ததியார்.
6 Do ye thus requite the LORD, O foolish people and unwise? Is not he thy father that hath bought thee? He hath made thee, and established thee.
௬விவேகமில்லாத மதிகெட்ட மக்களே, இப்படியா யெகோவாவுக்குப் பதிலளிக்கிறீர்கள், உன்னை ஆட்கொண்ட தகப்பன் அவரல்லவா? உன்னை உண்டாக்கி உன்னை நிலைப்படுத்தினவர் அவரல்லவா?
7 Remember the days of old, Consider the years of many generations: Ask thy father, and he will shew thee; Thine elders, and they will tell thee.
௭ஆரம்பநாட்களை நினை; தலைமுறை தலைமுறையாக கடந்துபோன வருடங்களைக் கவனித்துப்பார்; உன் தகப்பனைக் கேள், அவன் உனக்கு அறிவிப்பான்; உன் மூப்பர்களைக் கேள், அவர்கள் உனக்குச் சொல்லுவார்கள்.
8 When the Most High gave to the nations their inheritance, When he separated the children of men, He set the bounds of the peoples According to the number of the children of Israel.
௮உன்னதமான தேவன் மக்களுக்குச் சொத்துக்களைப் பங்கிட்டு, ஆதாமின் பிள்ளைகளை வெவ்வேறாகப் பிரித்த காலத்தில், இஸ்ரவேல் மக்களுடைய எண்ணிக்கைக்குத்தக்கதாக, அனைத்து மக்களின் எல்லைகளைத் திட்டம்செய்தார்.
9 For the LORD’S portion is his people; Jacob is the lot of his inheritance.
௯யெகோவாவுடைய மக்களே அவருடைய பங்கு; யாக்கோபு அவருக்குச் சொந்தமானவர்கள்.
10 He found him in a desert land, And in the waste howling wilderness; He compassed him about, he cared for him, He kept him as the apple of his eye:
௧0“பாழான நிலத்திலும் ஊளையிடுதலுள்ள வெறுமையான வெட்டவெளியிலும் அவர் அவனைக் கண்டுபிடித்தார், அவனை நடத்தினார், அவனை உணர்த்தினார், அவனைத் தமது கண்மணியைப் போலக் காத்தருளினார்.
11 As an eagle that stirreth up her nest, That fluttereth over her young, He spread abroad his wings, he took them, He bare them on his pinions:
௧௧கழுகு தன் கூட்டைக் கலைத்து, தன் குஞ்சுகளின்மேல் அசைவாடி, தன் இறக்கைகளை விரித்து, குஞ்சுகளை எடுத்து, அவைகளைத் தன் இறக்கைகளின்மேல் சுமந்துகொண்டுபோகிறதுபோல,
12 The LORD alone did lead him, And there was no strange god with him.
௧௨யெகோவா ஒருவரே அவனை வழிநடத்தினார், அந்நிய தெய்வம் அவருடன் இருந்ததில்லை.
13 He made him ride on the high places of the earth, And he did eat the increase of the field; And he made him to suck honey out of the rock, And oil out of the flinty rock;
௧௩பூமியிலுள்ள உயர்ந்த இடங்களின்மேல் அவனை ஏறிவரச்செய்தார்; வயலில் விளையும் பலனை அவனுக்குச் சாப்பிடக் கொடுத்தார்; கன்மலையிலுள்ள தேனையும் கற்பாறையிலிருந்து வடியும் எண்ணெயையும் அவன் சாப்பிடும்படி செய்தார்.
14 Butter of kine, and milk of sheep, With fat of lambs, And rams of the breed of Bashan, and goats, With the fat of kidneys of wheat; And of the blood of the grape thou drankest wine.
௧௪பசுவின் வெண்ணெயையும், ஆட்டின் பாலையும், பாசானில் மேயும் ஆட்டுக்குட்டிகள், ஆட்டுக்கடாக்கள், வெள்ளாட்டுக்கடாக்கள் இவைகளுடைய கொழுப்பையும், கொழுமையான கோதுமையையும், இரத்தம்போன்ற பொங்கிவழிகிற திராட்சைரசத்தையும் சாப்பிட்டாய்.
15 But Jeshurun waxed fat, and kicked: Thou art waxen fat, thou art grown thick, thou art become sleek: Then he forsook God which made him, And lightly esteemed the Rock of his salvation.
௧௫“யெஷூரன் கொழுத்துப்போய் உதைத்தான்; கொழுத்து, பருத்து, கொழுப்பு அதிகமானதால், தன்னை உண்டாக்கின தேவனைவிட்டு, தன் இரட்சிப்பின் கன்மலையை அசட்டைசெய்தான்.
16 They moved him to jealousy with strange [gods], With abominations provoked they him to anger.
௧௬அந்நிய தெய்வங்களால் அவருக்கு எரிச்சலை மூட்டினார்கள்; அருவருப்பானவைகளினால் அவரைக் கோபப்படுத்தினார்கள்.
17 They sacrificed unto demons, [which were] no God, To gods whom they knew not, To new [gods] that came up of late, Whom your fathers dreaded not.
௧௭அவர்கள் தேவனுக்குப் பலியிடவில்லை; தாங்கள் அறியாதவைகளும், தங்கள் முற்பிதாக்கள் பயப்படாதவைகளும், புதுமையாகத் தோன்றிய புது தெய்வங்களுமாகிய பேய்களுக்கே பலியிட்டார்கள்.
18 Of the Rock that begat thee thou art unmindful, And hast forgotten God that gave thee birth.
௧௮உன்னை பிறக்கச் செய்த கன்மலையை நீ நினைக்காமற்போனாய்; உன்னைப் பெற்ற தேவனை மறந்தாய்.
19 And the LORD saw [it], and abhorred [them], Because of the provocation of his sons and his daughters.
௧௯“யெகோவா அதைக்கண்டு, தமது மகன்களும், மகள்களும் தம்மைக் கோபப்படுத்தியதால் மனச்சோர்வடைந்து, அவர்களைப் புறக்கணித்து:
20 And he said, I will hide my face from them, I will see what their end shall be: For they are a very froward generation, Children in whom is no faith.
௨0என் முகத்தை அவர்களுக்கு மறைப்பேன்; அவர்களுடைய முடிவு எப்படியிருக்கும் என்று பார்ப்பேன்; அவர்கள் மகா மாறுபாடுள்ள சந்ததி; உண்மையில்லாத பிள்ளைகள்.
21 They have moved me to jealousy with that which is not God; They have provoked me to anger with their vanities: And I will move them to jealousy with those which are not a people; I will provoke them to anger with a foolish nation.
௨௧தெய்வம் அல்லாதவைகளினால் எனக்கு எரிச்சலை மூட்டி, தங்களுடைய வீணான தீயசெயல்களினால் என்னைக் கோபப்படுத்தினார்கள்; ஆகையால் மதிக்கப்படாத மக்களினால் அவர்களுக்கு எரிச்சலை உண்டாக்கி, மதிகெட்ட மக்களால் அவர்களைப் கோபப்படுத்துவேன்.
22 For a fire is kindled in mine anger, And burneth unto the lowest pit, And devoureth the earth with her increase, And setteth on fire the foundations of the mountains. (Sheol h7585)
௨௨என் கோபத்தினால் அக்கினி பற்றிக்கொண்டது, அது தாழ்ந்த நரகம்வரை எரியும்; அது பூமியையும், அதின் பலனையும் அழித்து, மலைகளின் அஸ்திபாரங்களை வேகச்செய்யும். (Sheol h7585)
23 I will heap mischiefs upon them; I will spend mine arrows upon them:
௨௩“தீமைகளை அவர்கள்மேல் குவிப்பேன்; என்னுடைய அம்புகளையெல்லாம் அவர்கள்மேல் பயன்படுத்துவேன்.
24 [They shall be] wasted with hunger, and devoured with burning heat And bitter destruction; And the teeth of beasts will I send upon them, With the poison of crawling things of the dust.
௨௪அவர்கள் பசியினால் வாடி, சுட்டெரிக்கும் வெப்பத்தினாலும், கொடிய தண்டனையினாலும் இறந்துபோவார்கள்; கொடிய மிருகங்களின் பற்களையும், தரையில் ஊரும் பாம்புகளின் விஷத்தையும் அவர்களுக்குள் அனுப்புவேன்.
25 Without shall the sword bereave, And in the chambers terror; [It shall destroy] both young man and virgin, The suckling with the man of gray hairs.
௨௫வெளியிலே பட்டயமும், உள்ளே பயங்கரமும், வாலிபனையும், இளம்பெண்ணையும், குழந்தையையும், நரைத்த கிழவனையும் அழிக்கும்.
26 I said, I would scatter them afar, I would make the remembrance of them to cease from among men:
௨௬எங்கள் கை உயர்ந்ததென்றும், யெகோவா இதையெல்லாம் செய்யவில்லை என்றும் அவர்களுடைய பகைவர்கள் தவறான எண்ணம்கொண்டு சொல்லுவார்கள் என்று,
27 Were it not that I feared the provocation of the enemy, Lest their adversaries should misdeem, Lest they should say, Our hand is exalted, And the LORD hath not done all this.
௨௭நான் எதிரியின் கோபத்திற்கு பயப்படாமல் இருந்தேன் என்றால், நான் அவர்களை மூலைக்குமூலை சிதறடித்து, மனிதர்களுக்குள் அவர்களுடைய பெயர் அழிந்துபோகச்செய்வேன் என்று சொல்லியிருப்பேன்.
28 For they are a nation void of counsel, And there is no understanding in them.
௨௮“அவர்கள் யோசனை இல்லாத மக்கள், அவர்களுக்கு உணர்வு இல்லை.
29 Oh that they were wise, that they understood this, That they would consider their latter end!
௨௯அவர்கள் ஞானமடைந்து, இதை உணர்ந்து, தங்கள் முடிவைச் சிந்தித்துக்கொண்டால் நலமாயிருக்கும் என்றார்.
30 How should one chase a thousand, And two put ten thousand to flight, Except their Rock had sold them, And the LORD had delivered them up?
௩0அவர்களுடைய கன்மலை அவர்களை விற்காமலும், யெகோவா அவர்களை ஒப்புக்கொடாமலும் இருந்தாரானால், ஒருவன் ஆயிரம்பேரைத் துரத்தி, இரண்டுபேர் பத்தாயிரம்பேரைத் துரத்துவது எப்படி?
31 For their rock is not as our Rock, Even our enemies themselves being judges.
௩௧தங்கள் கன்மலை நம்முடைய கன்மலையைப்போல் அல்ல என்று நம்முடைய எதிரிகளே தீர்மானிக்கிறார்கள்.
32 For their vine is of the vine of Sodom, And of the fields of Gomorrah: Their grapes are grapes of gall, Their clusters are bitter:
௩௨அவர்களுடைய திராட்சைச்செடி, சோதோமிலும் கொமோரா நிலங்களிலும் பயிரான திராட்சைச்செடியிலும் குறைந்த தரமுள்ளதாக இருக்கிறது, அவைகளின் பழங்கள் விஷமும் அவைகளின் குலைகள் கசப்புமாக இருக்கிறது.
33 Their wine is the poison of dragons, And the cruel venom of asps.
௩௩அவர்களுடைய திராட்சைரசம் வலுசர்ப்பங்களின் விஷமும், விரியன் பாம்புகளின் கொடிய விஷமுமானது.
34 Is not this laid up in store with me, Sealed up among my treasures?
௩௪“இது என்னிடத்தில் பாதுகாப்பாக வைக்கப்பட்டு, என் பொக்கிஷங்களில் இது முத்திரை போடப்பட்டு இருக்கிறதில்லையோ?
35 Vengeance is mine, and recompence, At the time when their foot shall slide: For the day of their calamity is at hand, And the things that are to come upon them shall make haste.
௩௫பழிவாங்குவதும் பதிலளிப்பதும் எனக்கு உரியது; ஏற்றகாலத்தில் அவர்களுடைய கால் தள்ளாடும்; அவர்களுடைய ஆபத்துநாள் நெருங்கியிருக்கிறது; அவர்களுக்கு சம்பவிக்கும் காரியங்கள் விரைவாக வரும்.
36 For the LORD shall judge his people, And repent himself for his servants; When he seeth that [their] power is gone, And there is none [remaining], shut up or left at large.
௩௬யெகோவா தம்முடைய மக்களை நியாயந்தீர்த்து, அவர்கள் பெலன் போயிற்று என்றும், அடைக்கப்பட்டவர்களாவது விடுதலை பெற்றவர்களாவது ஒருவரும் இல்லையென்றும் காணும்போது, தம்முடைய ஊழியக்காரர்கள்மேல் பரிதாபப்படுவார்.
37 And he shall say, Where are their gods, The rock in which they trusted;
௩௭அப்பொழுது அவர்: அவர்கள் பலியிட்ட பலிகளின் கொழுப்பைச் சாப்பிட்டு, பானபலிகளின் திராட்சைரசத்தைக் குடித்த அவர்களுடைய தெய்வங்களும் அவர்கள் நம்பின கன்மலையும் எங்கே?
38 Which did eat the fat of their sacrifices, [And] drank the wine of their drink offering? Let them rise up and help you, Let them be your protection.
௩௮அவைகள் எழுந்து உங்களுக்கு உதவிசெய்து உங்களுக்கு மறைவிடமாயிருக்கட்டும்.
39 See now that I, even I, am he, And there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I have wounded, and I heal: And there is none that can deliver out of my hand.
௩௯“நான் நானே அவர், என்னுடன் வேறே தேவன் இல்லை என்பதை இப்பொழுது பாருங்கள்; நான் கொல்லுகிறேன், நான் உயிர்ப்பிக்கிறேன்; நான் காயப்படுத்துகிறேன், நான் குணமாக்குகிறேன்; என் கைக்குத் தப்புவிப்பவர் இல்லை.
40 For I lift up my hand to heaven, And say, As I live for ever,
௪0நான் என் கையை வானத்திற்கு நேராக உயர்த்தி, நான் என்றென்றைக்கும் உயிரோடிருக்கிறவர் என்கிறேன்.
41 If I whet my glittering sword, And mine hand take hold on judgment; I will render vengeance to mine adversaries, And will recompense them that hate me.
௪௧மின்னும் என் பட்டயத்தை நான் கூர்மையாக்கி, என் கையானது நியாயத்தைப் பிடித்துக்கொள்ளுமானால், என் எதிரிகளிடத்தில் பழிவாங்கி, என்னைப் பகைக்கிறவர்களுக்குப் பதில்கொடுப்பேன்.
42 I will make mine arrows drunk with blood, And my sword shall devour flesh; With the blood of the slain and the captives, From the head of the leaders of the enemy.
௪௨கொலைசெய்யப்பட்டும், சிறைப்பட்டும் போனவர்களுடைய இரத்தத்தாலே என் அம்புகளை வெறிகொள்ளச்செய்வேன்; என் பட்டயம் தலைவர்கள் முதற்கொண்டு சகல எதிரிகளின் மாம்சத்தையும் அழிக்கும்.
43 Rejoice, O ye nations, [with] his people: For he will avenge the blood of his servants, And will render vengeance to his adversaries, And will make expiation for his land, for his people.
௪௩“மக்களே, அவருடைய மக்களுடன் மகிழ்ச்சியாயிருங்கள்; அவர் தமது ஊழியக்காரர்களின் இரத்தத்திற்குப் பழிவாங்கி, தம்முடைய எதிரிகளுக்குப் பதில்கொடுத்து, தமது தேசத்தின்மேலும் தமது மக்களின்மேலும் கிருபையுள்ளவராக இருப்பார்”.
44 And Moses came and spake all the words of this song in the ears of the people, he, and Hoshea the son of Nun.
௪௪மோசேயும் நூனின் மகனாகிய யோசுவாவும் வந்து, இந்தப் பாட்டின் வார்த்தைகளையெல்லாம் மக்கள் கேட்கத்தக்கதாகச் சொன்னார்கள்.
45 And Moses made an end of speaking all these words to all Israel:
௪௫மோசே இந்த வார்த்தைகளையெல்லாம் இஸ்ரவேலர்கள் யாவருக்கும் சொல்லி முடித்தபின்பு,
46 And he said unto them, Set your heart unto all the words which I testify unto you this day; which ye shall command your children, to observe to do all the words of this law.
௪௬அவர்களை நோக்கி: “இந்த நியாயப்பிரமாண வார்த்தைகளின்படியெல்லாம் உங்கள் பிள்ளைகள் செய்யும்படி கவனமாயிருக்க, நீங்கள் அவர்களுக்குக் கற்பிக்கும்படி, நான் இன்று உங்களுக்குச் சாட்சியாக ஒப்புவிக்கிற வார்த்தைகளையெல்லாம் உங்கள் மனதிலே வையுங்கள்.
47 For it is no vain thing for you; because it is your life, and through this thing ye shall prolong your days upon the land, whither ye go over Jordan to possess it.
௪௭இது உங்களுக்கு பயனற்ற காரியம் அல்லவே; இது உங்கள் உயிராயிருக்கிறது, நீங்கள் சொந்தமாக்கிக்கொள்ள யோர்தானைக் கடந்துபோய்ச் சேரும் தேசத்தில் இதினால் உங்கள் நாட்களை நீடிக்கச்செய்வீர்கள்” என்றான்.
48 And the LORD spake unto Moses that selfsame day, saying,
௪௮அந்த நாளிலேதானே யெகோவா மோசேயை நோக்கி:
49 Get thee up into this mountain of Abarim, unto mount Nebo, which is in the land of Moab, that is over against Jericho; and behold the land of Canaan, which I give unto the children of Israel for a possession:
௪௯“நீ எரிகோவுக்கு எதிரேயுள்ள மோவாப் தேசத்திலுள்ள இந்த அபாரீம் என்னும் மலைகளிலிருக்கிற நேபோ மலையில் ஏறி, நான் இஸ்ரவேல் சந்ததியாருக்கு சொந்தமாகக் கொடுக்கும் கானான் தேசத்தைப் பார்;
50 and die in the mount whither thou goest up, and be gathered unto thy people; as Aaron thy brother died in mount Hor, and was gathered unto his people:
௫0நீங்கள் சீன் வனாந்திரத்திலுள்ள காதேசிலே மேரிபாவின் தண்ணீரின் அருகில் இஸ்ரவேல் மக்களுக்குள்ளே என்னைப் பரிசுத்தம்செய்யாமல், அவர்கள் நடுவே என் கட்டளைகளை மீறினதினாலே,
51 because ye trespassed against me in the midst of the children of Israel at the waters of Meribah of Kadesh, in the wilderness of Zin; because ye sanctified me not in the midst of the children of Israel.
௫௧உன் சகோதரனாகிய ஆரோன், ஓர் என்னும் மலையிலே மரணமடைந்து, தன் முன்னோர்களிடத்தில் சேர்க்கப்பட்டதுபோல நீயும் ஏறப்போகிற மலையிலே மரணமடைந்து, உன் முன்னோர்களிடத்தில் சேர்க்கப்படுவாய்.
52 For thou shalt see the land before thee; but thou shalt not go thither into the land which I give the children of Israel.
௫௨நான் இஸ்ரவேல் மக்களுக்குக் கொடுக்கப்போகிற எதிரேயுள்ள தேசத்தை நீ பார்ப்பாய்; ஆனாலும் அதற்குள் நீ நுழைவதில்லை” என்றார்.
