Colossians 4

1 Masters, render unto your servants that which is just and equal; knowing that ye also have a Master in heaven.

Signori, fate ciò che è giusto, e ragionevole inverso i servi, sapendo che ancora voi avete un Signore ne' cieli.

2 Continue stedfastly in prayer, watching therein with thanksgiving;

PERSEVERATE nell'orazione, vegliando in essa con ringraziamento.

3 withal praying for us also, that God may open unto us a door for the word, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in bonds;

Pregando insieme ancora per noi, acciocchè Iddio apra eziandio a noi la porta della parola, per annunziare il misterio di Cristo, per lo quale anche sono prigione;

4 that I may make it manifest, as I ought to speak.

acciocchè io lo manifesti, come mi convien parlare.

5 Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time.

Procedete con sapienza inverso quei di fuori; ricomperando il tempo.

6 Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer each one.

Il vostro parlare [sia] sempre con grazia, condito con sale; per sapere come vi si convien rispondere a ciascuno.

7 All my affairs shall Tychicus make known unto you, the beloved brother and faithful minister and fellow-servant in the Lord:

TICHICO, il caro fratello, e fedel ministro, e [mio] conservo nel Signore, vi farà assapere tutto lo stato mio.

8 whom I have sent unto you for this very purpose, that ye may know our estate, and that he may comfort your hearts;

Il quale io ho mandato a voi a questo stesso fine, acciocchè sappia lo stato vostro, e consoli i cuori vostri,

9 together with Onesimus, the faithful and beloved brother, who is one of you. They shall make known unto you all things that [are done] here.

insieme col fedele, e caro fratello Onesimo, il quale è de' vostri; [essi] vi faranno assaper tutte le cose di qua.

10 Aristarchus my fellow-prisoner saluteth you, and Mark, the cousin of Barnabas (touching whom ye received commandments; if he come unto you, receive him),

Aristarco, prigione meco, vi saluta; così ancora Marco, il cugino di Barnaba; intorno al quale avete ricevuto ordine; se viene a voi, accoglietelo.

11 and Jesus, which is called Justus, who are of the circumcision: these only [are my] fellow-workers unto the kingdom of God, men that have been a comfort unto me.

E Gesù, detto Giusto, i quali son della circoncisione; questi soli [son] gli operai nell'opera del regno di Dio, i quali mi sono stati di conforto.

12 Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ Jesus, saluteth you, always striving for you in his prayers, that ye may stand perfect and fully assured in all the will of God.

Epafra, [che è] de' vostri, servo di Cristo, vi saluta; combattendo sempre per voi nelle orazioni, acciocchè stiate fermi, perfetti, e compiuti in tutta la volontà di Dio.

13 For I bear him witness, that he hath much labour for you, and for them in Laodicea, and for them in Hierapolis.

Perciocchè io gli rendo testimonianza, ch'egli ha un gran zelo per voi, e per quelli [che sono] in Laodicea, e per quelli [che sono] in Ierapoli.

14 Luke, the beloved physician, and Demas salute you.

Il diletto Luca, il medico, e Dema, vi salutano.

15 Salute the brethren that are in Laodicea, and Nymphas, and the church that is in their house.

Salutate i fratelli [che sono] in Laodicea, e Ninfa, e la chiesa [che è] in casa sua.

16 And when this epistle hath been read among you, cause that it be read also in the church of the Laodiceans; and that ye also read the epistle from Laodicea.

E quando quest'epistola sarà stata letta fra voi, fate che sia ancor letta nella chiesa de' Laodicesi; e che ancora voi leggiate quella [che vi sarà mandata] da Laodicea.

17 And say to Archippus, Take heed to the ministry which thou hast received in the Lord, that thou fulfill it.

E dite ad Archippo: Guarda al ministerio che tu hai ricevuto nel Signore, acciocchè tu l'adempia.

18 The salutation of me Paul with mine own hand. Remember my bonds. Grace be with you.

Il saluto, [scritto] di mano [propria] di me Paolo. Ricordatevi de' miei legami. La grazia [sia] con voi. Amen.
