2 Samuel 8
1 And after this it came to pass, that David smote the Philistines, and subdued them: and David took the bridle of the mother city out of the hand of the Philistines.
后来大卫打败并征服了非利士人，夺取了他们的都城。
2 And he smote Moab, and measured them with the line, making them to lie down on the ground; and he measured two lines to put to death, and one full fine to keep alive. And the Moabites became servants to David, and brought presents.
他又打败了摩押人，让他们并排躺在地上，然后用绳子去量，每两绳之内的人都要被杀掉，第三绳的人留下性命。从此，摩押人臣服于大卫，向他进贡。
3 David smote also Hadadezer the son of Rehob, king of Zobah, as he went to recover his dominion at the River.
利合的儿子琐巴王哈大底谢出来，要恢复他在幼发拉底河一带的势力，大卫打败了他，
4 And David took from him a thousand and seven hundred horsemen, and twenty thousand footmen: and David houghed all the chariot horses, but reserved of them for an hundred chariots.
俘获一千七百名骑兵和两万名步兵，砍断拉战车的马匹的蹄筋，只留下够拉一百辆战车的马匹。
5 And when the Syrians of Damascus came to succour Hadadezer king of Zobah, David smote of the Syrians two and twenty thousand men.
大马士革的亚兰人前来支援琐巴王哈大底谢，大卫杀了他们两万二千人，
6 Then David put garrisons in Syria of Damascus: and the Syrians became servants to David, and brought presents. And the LORD gave victory to David whithersoever he went.
还在大马士革的亚兰境内驻军，亚兰人臣服于大卫，向他进贡。耶和华使大卫无往而不胜。
7 And David took the shields of gold that were on the servants of Hadadezer, and brought them to Jerusalem.
大卫夺走哈大底谢侍从的金盾牌，带回耶路撒冷，
8 And from Betah and from Berothai, cities of Hadadezer, king David took exceeding much brass.
又从哈大底谢统治的比他和比罗他两座城中夺走大量的铜。
9 And when Toi king of Hamath heard that David had smitten all the host of Hadadezer,
哈马王陀以听说大卫打败哈大底谢全军，
10 then Toi sent Joram his son unto king David, to salute him, and to bless him, because he had fought against Hadadezer and smitten him: for Hadadezer had wars with Toi. And [Joram] brought with him vessels of silver, and vessels of gold, and vessels of brass:
就派儿子约兰带着许多金银铜器去朝见大卫王，向他请安，祝贺他打败了哈大底谢。因为陀以常常和哈大底谢交战。
11 These also did king David dedicate unto the LORD, with the silver and gold that he dedicated of all the nations which he subdued;
大卫王把这些器皿和他征服亚兰人、摩押人、亚扪人、非利士人、亚玛力人，以及利合的儿子琐巴王哈大底谢时所得的金银都分别出来，奉献给耶和华。
12 of Syria, and of Moab, and of the children of Ammon, and of the Philistines, and of Amalek, and of the spoil of Hadadezer, son of Rehob, king of Zobah.
13 And David gat him a name when he returned from smiting of the Syrians in the Valley of Salt, even eighteen thousand men.
大卫在盐谷杀了一万八千亚兰人归来后，声威大振。
14 And he put garrisons in Edom; throughout all Edom put he garrisons, and all the Edomites became servants to David. And the LORD gave victory to David whithersoever he went.
他又在以东全境驻军，以东人都臣服于他。耶和华使他无往而不胜。
15 And David reigned over all Israel; and David executed judgment and justice unto all his people.
大卫治理全以色列，对百姓秉公行义。
16 And Joab the son of Zeruiah was over the host; and Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud was recorder:
那时，洗鲁雅的儿子约押做元帅；亚希律的儿子约沙法做史官；
17 and Zadok the son of Ahitub, and Ahimelech the son of Abiathar, were priests; and Seraiah was scribe;
亚希突的儿子撒督和亚比亚他的儿子亚希米勒做祭司长；西莱雅做书记；
18 and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada [was over] the Cherethites and the Pelethites; and David’s sons were priests.
耶何耶大的儿子比拿雅统管基利提人和比利提人。大卫的众子都做祭司。
