2 Samuel 21
1 And there was a famine in the days of David three years, year after year; and David sought the face of the LORD. And the LORD said, It is for Saul, and for his bloody house, because he put to death the Gibeonites.
Y en los días de David hubo hambre por tres años, uno tras otro: y David consultó a Jehová, y Jehová le dijo: Por Saul, y por la casa de sangres: porque mató a los Gabaonitas.
2 And the king called the Gibeonites, and said unto them; (now the Gibeonites were not of the children of Israel, but of the remnant of the Amorites; and the children of Israel had sworn unto them: and Saul sought to slay them in his zeal for the children of Israel and Judah: )
Entonces el rey llamó a los Gabaonitas, y hablóles. Los Gabaonitas no eran de los hijos de Israel, sino de las restas de los Amorreos, a los cuales los hijos de Israel habían hecho juramento: mas Saul había procurado de matarlos con celo, por los hijos de Israel y de Judá.
3 and David said unto the Gibeonites, What shall I do for you? and wherewith shall I make atonement, that ye may bless the inheritance of the LORD?
Y dijo David a los Gabaonitas: ¿Qué os haré, y con qué expiaré para que bendigáis a la heredad de Jehová?
4 And the Gibeonites said unto him, It is no matter of silver or gold between us and Saul, or his house; neither is it for us to put any man to death in Israel. And he said, What ye shall say, that will I do for you.
Y los Gabaonitas le respondieron: No tenemos nosotros pleito sobre plata, ni sobre oro con Saul y con su casa: ni queremos que hombre de Israel muera. Y él les dijo: Lo que vosotros dijereis os haré.
5 And they said unto the king, The man that consumed us, and that devised against us, [that] we should be destroyed from remaining in any of the borders of Israel,
Y ellos respondieron al rey: Aquel hombre que nos destruyó, y que maquinó contra nosotros, asolaremos que no quede nada de él, en todo el término de Israel.
6 let seven men of his sons be delivered unto us, and we will hang them up unto the LORD in Gibeah of Saul, the chosen of the LORD; And the king said, I will give them.
Dénsenos siete varones de sus hijos, para que los crucifiquemos a Jehová en Gabaa de Saul, el escogido de Jehová. Y el rey dijo: Yo los daré.
7 But the king spared Mephibosheth, the son of Jonathan the son of Saul, because of the LORD’S oath that was between them, between David and Jonathan the son of Saul.
Y el rey perdonó a Mifi-boset, hijo de Jonatán, hijo de Saul, por el juramento de Jehová, que hubo entre ellos, entre David y Jonatán, hijo de Saul:
8 But the king took the two sons of Rizpah the daughter of Aiah, whom she bare unto Saul, Armoni and Mephibosheth; and the five sons of Michal the daughter of Saul, whom she bare to Adriel the son of Barzillai the Meholathite:
Mas tomó el rey dos hijos de Resfa, hija de Aia, los cuales ella había parido a Saul, es a saber a Armoni, y a Mifi-boset; y cinco hijos de Micol, hija de Saul, los cuales ella había parido a Adriel, hijo de Berzellai Molatita:
9 And he delivered them into the hands of the Gibeonites, and they hanged them in the mountain before the LORD, and they fell [all] seven together: and they were put to death in the days of harvest, in the first days, at the beginning of barley harvest.
Y entrególos en mano de los Gabaonitas, y ellos los crucificaron en el monte delante de Jehová, y murieron juntos aquellos siete, los cuales fueron muertos en el tiempo de la siega en los primeros días, en el principio de la siega de las cebadas.
10 And Rizpah the daughter of Aiah took sackcloth, and spread it for her upon the rock, from the beginning of harvest until water was poured upon them from heaven; and she suffered neither the birds of the air to rest on them by day, nor the beasts of the field by night.
Y tomando Resfa, hija de Aia, un saco, tendiósele sobre un peñasco desde el principio de la segada hasta que llovió sobre ellos agua del cielo: y no dejó a ninguna ave del cielo sentarse sobre ellos de día, ni bestias del campo de noche.
11 And it was told David what Rizpah the daughter of Aiah, the concubine of Saul, had done.
Y fue dicho a David lo que hacía Resfa, hija de Aia, concubina de Saul.
12 And David went and took the bones of Saul and the bones of Jonathan his son from the men of Jabesh-gilead, which had stolen them from the street of Beth-shan, where the Philistines had hanged them, in the day that the Philistines slew Saul in Gilboa:
Y fue David, y tomó los huesos de Saul, y los huesos de Jonatán su hijo, de los varones de Jabes de Galaad, que los habían hurtado de la plaza de Bet-sán, donde los habían colgado los Filisteos, cuando los Filisteos deshicieron a Saul en Gelboé.
13 and he brought up from thence the bones of Saul and the bones of Jonathan his son; and they gathered the bones of them that were hanged.
Y tomó los huesos de Saul, y los huesos de Jonatán su hijo, y juntaron también los huesos de los crucificados,
14 And they buried the bones of Saul and Jonathan his son in the country of Benjamin in Zela, in the sepulchre of Kish his father: and they performed all that the king commanded. And after that God was entreated for the land.
Y sepultaron los huesos de Saul, y los de Jonatán su hijo en tierra de Ben-jamín, en Sela, en el sepulcro de Cis su padre: e hicieron todo lo que el rey había mandado: y Dios se aplacó con la tierra.
15 And the Philistines had war again with Israel; and David went down, and his servants with him, and fought against the Philistines: and David waxed faint.
Y los Filisteos tornaron a hacer guerra a Israel, y David descendió, y sus siervos con él, y pelearon con los Filisteos, y David se cansó.
16 and Ishbi-benob, which was of the sons of the giant, the weight of whose spear was three hundred [shekels] of brass in weight, he being girded with a new [sword], thought to have slain David.
Y Jesbi-benob, el cual era de los hijos del gigante, y el peso de su lanza tenía trescientos siclos de metal, y él estaba vestido de nuevo, este había determinado de herir a David.
17 But Abishai the son of Zeruiah succoured him, and smote the Philistine, and killed him. Then the men of David sware unto him, saying, Thou shalt go no more out with us to battle, that thou quench not the lamp of Israel.
Mas Abisaí, hijo de Sarvia, le socorrió, e hirió al Filisteo, y le mató. Entonces los varones de David le juraron, y dijeron: Nunca más de aquí adelante saldrás con nosotros en batalla, porque no mates la lámpara de Israel.
18 And it came to pass after this, that there was again war with the Philistines at Gob: then Sibbecai the Hushathite slew Saph, which was of the sons of the giant.
Otra segunda guerra hubo después en Gob contra los Filisteos: entonces Sobocai Husatita hirió a Saf, que era de los hijos del gigante.
19 And there was again war with the Philistines at Gob; and Elhanan the son of Jaare-oregim the Beth-lehemite slew Goliath the Gittite, the staff of whose spear was like a weaver’s beam.
Otra guerra hubo en Gob contra los Filisteos, en la cual Elhanán, hijo de Jaere-orgim de Belén, hirió a Goliat Geteo, el asta de la lanza del cual era como un enjullo de telar.
20 And there was again war at Gath, where was a man of great stature, that had on every hand six fingers, and on every foot six toes, four and twenty in number; and he also was born to the giant.
Después hubo otra guerra en Get, donde hubo un varón de grande altura, el cual tenía doce dedos en las manos, y otros doce en los pies, que eran veinte y cuatro por cuenta: y también era de los hijos del gigante.
21 And when he defied Israel, Jonathan the son of Shimei David’s brother slew him.
Este desafió a Israel, y matóle Jonatán, hijo de Samma, hermano de David.
22 These four were born to the giant in Gath; and they fell by the hand of David, and by the hand of his servants.
Estos cuatro le habían nacido a Rafa en Get, los cuales cayeron por la mano de David, y por la mano de sus siervos.
