2 Samuel 21
1 And there was a famine in the days of David three years, year after year; and David sought the face of the LORD. And the LORD said, It is for Saul, and for his bloody house, because he put to death the Gibeonites.
Ug dihay usa ka gutom sa mga adlaw ni David sa totolo ka tuig, sa sunod-sunod nga tuig; ug si David nagpakitambag kang Jehova. Ug si Jehova miingon: Kini mahitungod kang Saul ug sa iyang dugoon nga balay, tungod kay iyang gipamatay ang mga Gabaonhon.
2 And the king called the Gibeonites, and said unto them; (now the Gibeonites were not of the children of Israel, but of the remnant of the Amorites; and the children of Israel had sworn unto them: and Saul sought to slay them in his zeal for the children of Israel and Judah: )
Ug ang hari mitawag sa mga Gabaonhon, ug miingon kanila (karon ang mga Gabaonhon dili sa mga anak sa Israel, apan sila sa salin sa mga Amorehanon; ug ang mga anak sa Israel nanagpanumpa kanila: ug si Saul nagapangita sa pagpatay kanila tungod sa iyang mainitong pagbati alang sa mga anak sa Israel ug Juda);
3 and David said unto the Gibeonites, What shall I do for you? and wherewith shall I make atonement, that ye may bless the inheritance of the LORD?
Ug si David miingon sa mga Gabaonhon: Unsay akong pagabuhaton alang kaninyo? Ug asa nako himoa ang pagtabon-sa-sala aron bulahanon ninyo ang panulondon ni Jehova?
4 And the Gibeonites said unto him, It is no matter of silver or gold between us and Saul, or his house; neither is it for us to put any man to death in Israel. And he said, What ye shall say, that will I do for you.
Ug ang mga Gabaonhon miingon kaniya: Kini dili butang mahitungod sa salapi kun bulawan sa taliwala kanamo ug kang Saul, kun sa iyang balay; ni ania kanamo ang pagpatay sa bisan kinsa sa Israel. Ug siya miingon: Unsay inyong igapamulong, kana buhaton ko alang kaninyo.
5 And they said unto the king, The man that consumed us, and that devised against us, [that] we should be destroyed from remaining in any of the borders of Israel,
Ug sila miingon sa hari: Ang tawo nga nag-ut-ut kanamo ug kadtong naglalang ug mga paagi batok kanamo, aron kami pagalaglagon gikan sa pagpabilin sa bisan diin nga mga utlanan sa Israel.
6 let seven men of his sons be delivered unto us, and we will hang them up unto the LORD in Gibeah of Saul, the chosen of the LORD; And the king said, I will give them.
Itugot nga ang pito sa iyang mga anak nga lalake itugyan kanamo ug sila amo nga bitayon alang kang Jehova didto sa Gabaa ni Saul ang pinili ni Jehova. Ug ang hari miingon: Ihatag ko sila.
7 But the king spared Mephibosheth, the son of Jonathan the son of Saul, because of the LORD’S oath that was between them, between David and Jonathan the son of Saul.
Apan ang hari nagpagawas kang Mephi-boseth, ang anak nga lalake ni Jonathan, anak nga lalake ni Saul, tungod sa panumpa ni Jehova nga diha sa taliwala nila, sa taliwala ni David ug ni Jonathan, ang anak nga lalake ni Saul.
8 But the king took the two sons of Rizpah the daughter of Aiah, whom she bare unto Saul, Armoni and Mephibosheth; and the five sons of Michal the daughter of Saul, whom she bare to Adriel the son of Barzillai the Meholathite:
Apan ang hari mikuha sa duruha ka anak nga lalake ni Rispa, ang anak nga babaye ni Aja, nga iyang gipaangkan kang Saul, si Armoni ug Mephi-boseth; ug ang lima ka mga anak nga lalake ni Michal, anak nga babaye ni Saul, nga iyang gipanganak kang Adriel, ang anak nga lalake ni Barzillai, ang Molatihanon:
9 And he delivered them into the hands of the Gibeonites, and they hanged them in the mountain before the LORD, and they fell [all] seven together: and they were put to death in the days of harvest, in the first days, at the beginning of barley harvest.
Ug sila gitugyan niya ngadto sa mga kamot sa mga Gabaonhon ug sila gibitay nila didto sa bukid sa atubangan ni Jehova, ug nangapukan silang pito pagdungan. Ug gipapatay sila sulod sa mga adlaw sa pag-ani sa unang mga adlaw, sa sinugdan sa ting-ani sa cebada.
10 And Rizpah the daughter of Aiah took sackcloth, and spread it for her upon the rock, from the beginning of harvest until water was poured upon them from heaven; and she suffered neither the birds of the air to rest on them by day, nor the beasts of the field by night.
Ug si Rizpa, ang anak nga babaye ni Aja mikuha ug saput nga sako, ug mibuklad niana alang kaniya sa ibabaw sa bato, sukad sa sinugdan sa ting-ani hangtud nga ang tubig gibubo kanila gikan sa langit; ug siya wala motugot nga ang mga langgam sa kalangitan mopahulay sa ibabaw niini sa adlaw, ni sa kamananapan sa kapatagan sa magabii.
11 And it was told David what Rizpah the daughter of Aiah, the concubine of Saul, had done.
Ug kini gisugilon kang David kong unsay gibuhat ni Rispa, ang anak nga babaye ni Aja, ang puyopuyo ni Saul.
12 And David went and took the bones of Saul and the bones of Jonathan his son from the men of Jabesh-gilead, which had stolen them from the street of Beth-shan, where the Philistines had hanged them, in the day that the Philistines slew Saul in Gilboa:
Ug si David miadto ug mikuha sa mga bukog ni Saul ug sa mga bukog ni Jonathan nga iyang anak nga lalake gikan sa mga tawo sa Jabes-Galaad, nga nagkawat kanila gikan sa dalan sa Bethsan, ang mga Filistehanon nagbitay kanila sa adlaw nga ang mga Filistehanon nagpatay kang Saul didto sa Gilboa:
13 and he brought up from thence the bones of Saul and the bones of Jonathan his son; and they gathered the bones of them that were hanged.
Ug iyang gidala gikan didto ang mga bukog ni Saul ug ang mga bukog ni Jonathan nga iyang anak nga lalake: ug ilang gitigum ang mga bukog nila niadtong mga gipamatay.
14 And they buried the bones of Saul and Jonathan his son in the country of Benjamin in Zela, in the sepulchre of Kish his father: and they performed all that the king commanded. And after that God was entreated for the land.
Ug ilang gilubong ang mga bukog ni Saul ug kang Jonathan nga iyang anak nga lalake didto sa yuta ni Benjamin sa Sela, sa lubnganan ni Cis nga iyang amahan: ug ilang gihimo ang tanang gisugo sa hari. Ug sa tapus niana ang Dios gihangyo mahitungod sa yuta.
15 And the Philistines had war again with Israel; and David went down, and his servants with him, and fought against the Philistines: and David waxed faint.
Ug ang mga Filistehanon may gubat na usab batok sa Israel; ug si David milugsong, ug ang iyang mga sulogoon uban kaniya, ug nakig-away batok sa mga Filistehanon. Ug si David nag-anam ug kaluya.
16 and Ishbi-benob, which was of the sons of the giant, the weight of whose spear was three hundred [shekels] of brass in weight, he being girded with a new [sword], thought to have slain David.
Ug si Isbi-benob, ang anak nga lalake sa higanti, kansang bangkaw may kabug-aton nga totolo ka gatus ka siclo nga tumbaga sa gibug-aton, siya nga binaksan sa usa ka bag-ong espada gihunahuna nga makapatay kang David.
17 But Abishai the son of Zeruiah succoured him, and smote the Philistine, and killed him. Then the men of David sware unto him, saying, Thou shalt go no more out with us to battle, that thou quench not the lamp of Israel.
Apan si Abisai, ang anak nga lalake ni Sarvia mitabang kaniya, ug mitigbas sa Filistehanon, ug nagpatay kaniya. Unya ang mga tawo ni David nanumpa kaniya, nga nagaingon: Ikaw dili na magagula uban kanamo sa gubat aron dili mo mapalong, ang suga sa Israel.
18 And it came to pass after this, that there was again war with the Philistines at Gob: then Sibbecai the Hushathite slew Saph, which was of the sons of the giant.
Ug nahitabo sa tapus niini, nga may gubat na usab batok sa mga Filistehanon didto sa Gob: unya si Sibechai, ang Husatiahanon nagpatay kang Saph, usa sa mga anak nga lalake sa higanti.
19 And there was again war with the Philistines at Gob; and Elhanan the son of Jaare-oregim the Beth-lehemite slew Goliath the Gittite, the staff of whose spear was like a weaver’s beam.
Ug dihay gubat na usab batok sa mga Filistehanon didto sa Gob; ug si Elhanan, ang anak nga lalake ni Jaareo-regim, ang Bethlehemnon, nagpatay sa igsoong lalake ni Goliath, ang Getehanon, nga ang kuptanan sa iyang bangkaw sama sa likisan sa maghahabol.
20 And there was again war at Gath, where was a man of great stature, that had on every hand six fingers, and on every foot six toes, four and twenty in number; and he also was born to the giant.
Ug dihay gubat na usab didto sa Gath, diin may usa ka tawo nga daku ug lawas, nga may unom ka tudlo sa tagsatagsa ka kamot, ug may unom ka tudlo sa tagsatagsa ka tiil; kaluhaan ug upat ang gidaghanon; ug siya usab natawo nga higanti.
21 And when he defied Israel, Jonathan the son of Shimei David’s brother slew him.
Ug sa diha nga siya nagyubit sa Israel, si Jonathan, ang anak nga lalake ni Semei, igsoon nga lalake ni David, mipatay kaniya.
22 These four were born to the giant in Gath; and they fell by the hand of David, and by the hand of his servants.
Kining upat nangatawo nga higanti didto sa Gath; ug sila nangapukan pinaagi sa kamot ni David ug pinaagi sa kamot sa iyang mga ulipon.
