1 Samuel 29

1 Now the Philistines gathered together all their hosts to Aphek: and the Israelites pitched by the fountain which is in Jezreel.

১পাছত পলেষ্টীয়াসকলে নিজৰ সৈন্যসামন্তক অফেকত একগোট কৰিলে, তেতিয়া ইস্ৰায়েলৰ লোকসকলে যিজ্ৰিয়েলত থকা ভুমুকৰ ওচৰত ছাউনি পাতিলে।

2 And the lords of the Philistines passed on by hundreds, and by thousands: and David and his men passed on in the rearward with Achish.

২যেতিয়া পলেষ্টীয়া অধিপতিসকলে হাজাৰ হাজাৰ সৈন্য লৈ ক্ৰমে আগবাঢ়ি গ’ল, তেতিয়া সকলোৰে শেষত আখীচৰ লগত দায়ুদ আৰু তেওঁৰ লোকসকলো গ’ল।

3 Then said the princes of the Philistines, What do these Hebrews here? And Achish said unto the princes of the Philistines, Is not this David, the servant of Saul the king of Israel, which hath been with me these days or these years, and I have found no fault in him since he fell away [unto me] unto this day?

৩তেতিয়া ফিলিষ্টীয়া অধিপতিসকলে সুধিলে, “এই ইব্ৰীয়া লোকসকলে ইয়াত কি কৰি আছে?” তেতিয়া আখীচে পলেষ্টীয়া অধিপতি সকলক উত্তৰ দি ক’লে, “সেই মানুহ জন ইস্ৰায়েলৰ ৰজা চৌলৰ দাস দায়ুদ নহয় নে? তেওঁ ক’ত দিন আৰু ক’ত বছৰ মোৰ লগত বাস কৰি আছে; আৰু তেওঁ যেতিয়াৰে পৰা মোৰ ফলীয়া হ’ল, তেতিয়াৰে পৰা আজিলৈকে মই তেওঁৰ কোনো দোষ পোৱা নাই।”

4 But the princes of the Philistines were wroth with him; and the princes of the Philistines said unto him, Make the man return, that he may go back to his place where thou hast appointed him, and let him not go down with us to battle, lest in the battle he become an adversary to us: for wherewith should this [fellow] reconcile himself unto his lord? should it not be with the heads of these men?

৪কিন্তু তেওঁৰ ওপৰত পলেষ্টীয়া অধিপতিসকলৰ খং উঠিল আৰু তেওঁলোকে তেওঁক ক’লে, “তুমি তাক ওলোটাই পঠাই দিয়া। তুমি যি ঠাই তাক নিৰূপণ কৰি দিছিলা, সেই ঠাইলৈ সি উভতি যাওক। সি আমাৰ লগত যুদ্ধলৈ নাহক, সি যুদ্ধলৈ আহিলে কিজানি আমাৰ শত্ৰু হ’ব; নহলেনো সি কিহেৰে নিজ প্ৰভুক সন্তুষ্ট কৰিব পাৰিব? এই লোকসকলৰ মূৰেৰে নহয় নে?

5 Is not this David, of whom they sang one to another in dances, saying, Saul hath slain his thousands, and David his ten thousands?

৫দায়ুদক লৈ লোকসকলে পৰস্পৰৰ মাজত গান গাই এইদৰে যে নাচিছিল, ‘চৌলে বধিলে হাজাৰ হাজাৰ লোকক, দায়ূদে বধিলে অযুত অযুত লোকক, ই জানো সেই দায়ুদ নহয়?’”

6 Then Achish called David, and said unto him, As the LORD liveth, thou hast been upright, and thy going out and thy coming in with me in the host is good in my sight: for I have not found evil in thee since the day of thy coming unto me unto this day: nevertheless the lords favour thee not.

৬তেতিয়া আখীচে দায়ূদক মাতি আনিলে আৰু তেওঁক ক’লে, “যিহোৱাৰ জীৱনৰ শপত, তুমি সৰল লোক, আৰু সৈন্যসামন্তৰ মাজত তুমি যে মোৰ লগত আহিছা, সেয়া মই ভাল দেখিছোঁ; কিয়নো তুমি মোৰ ওচৰলৈ অহা দিনৰে পৰা আজিলৈকে মই তোমাৰ কোনো দোষ পোৱা নাই; তথাপি অধিপতিসকল তোমাক লৈ সন্তুষ্ট নহয়।

7 Wherefore now return, and go in peace, that thou displease not the lords of the Philistines.

৭এতেকে পলেষ্টীয়া অধিপতিসকলক বেজাৰ নিদিবৰ বাবে, এতিয়া তুমি কুশলে উভটি যোৱা।”

8 And David said unto Achish, But what have I done? and what hast thou found in thy servant so long as I have been before thee unto this day, that I may not go and fight against the enemies of my lord the king?

৮তেতিয়া দায়ূদে আখীচক ক’লে, “কিন্তু মই কি কৰিলোঁ? যেতিয়াৰে পৰা আপোনাৰ লগত আছোঁ, তেতিয়াৰে পৰা আজিলৈকে আপুনি এই দাসৰ জীৱনত কি দোষ পালে যে, মই মোৰ প্ৰভু মহাৰাজৰ শত্ৰুবোৰৰ লগত যুদ্ধ কৰিবলৈ যাব নোৱাৰোঁ?”

9 And Achish answered and said to David, I know that thou art good in my sight, as an angel of God: notwithstanding the princes of the Philistines have said, He shall not go up with us to the battle.

৯তেতিয়া আখীচে দায়ূদক ক’লে, “মই জানিছোঁ যে, তুমি মোৰ দৃষ্টিত ঈশ্বৰৰ দূতৰ নিচিনা উত্তম; তথাপি পলেষ্টীয়া অধিপতি সকলে কৈছে, ‘সেই মানুহ আমাৰ লগত ৰণলৈ যাব নোৱাৰে।’

10 Wherefore now rise up early in the morning with the servants of thy lord that are come with thee: and as soon as ye be up early in the morning, and have light, depart.

১০এই হেতুকে তুমি আৰু তোমাৰ লগত অহা তোমাৰ প্ৰভুৰ দাস সকলে ৰাতিপুৱাই উঠিবা আৰু পোহৰ হ’লেই প্ৰস্থান কৰিবা।”

11 So David rose up early, he and his men, to depart in the morning, to return into the land of the Philistines. And the Philistines went up to Jezreel.

১১তেতিয়া দায়ুদ আৰু তেওঁৰ লোকসকলে ৰাতিপুৱাই উঠিল আৰু যাত্ৰা কৰি ফিলিষ্টীয়া সকলৰ দেশলৈ উভটি গ’ল। কিন্তু পলেষ্টীয়া সকল যিজ্ৰিয়েললৈ গ’ল।
