1 Chronicles 24

1 And the courses of the sons of Aaron [were these]. The sons of Aaron; Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar.

अहरोन-वंशजों के समूह ये थे: अहरोन के पुत्र थे नादाब, अबीहू, एलिएज़र और इथामार.

2 But Nadab and Abihu died before their father, and had no children: therefore Eleazar and Ithamar executed the priest office.

मगर नादाब और अबीहू की मृत्यु उनके पिता के देखते-देखते हो गई थी. उनके कोई संतान भी न थी. फलस्वरूप एलिएज़र और इथामार ने पौरोहितिक कार्यभार अपने ऊपर ले लिया.

3 And David with Zadok of the sons of Eleazar, and Ahimelech of the sons of Ithamar, divided them according to their ordering in their service.

एलिएज़र वंशज सादोक और इथामार-वंशज अहीमेलेख के साथ मिलकर दावीद ने सेवा के लिए उनके पदों के अनुसार उनके समूहों को बांट दिया.

4 And there were more chief men found of the sons of Eleazar than of the sons of Ithamar; and [thus] were they divided: of the sons of Eleazar there were sixteen, heads of father’s houses; and of the sons of Ithamar, according to their fathers’ houses, eight.

इसलिये कि एलिएज़र-वंशजों में इथामार-वंशजों से संख्या में ज्यादा मुख्य पाए गए, उनका बंटवारा इस प्रकार किया गया: एलिएज़र-वंशजों में सोलह और इथामार-वंशजों में आठ मुख्य पाए गए, ये दोनों ही उनके घरानों के अनुसार थे.

5 Thus were they divided by lot, one sort with another; for there were princes of the sanctuary, and princes of God, both of the sons of Eleazar, and of the sons of Ithamar.

पासा फेंकने की प्रथा के द्वारा इन सभी का बंटवारा किया गया था; बिना किसी भेद-भाव के सभी का, क्योंकि वे मंदिर के, हां, परमेश्वर के लिए चुने गए अधिकारी थे. ये दोनों ही एलिएज़र और इथामार-वंशज थे.

6 And Shemaiah the son of Nethanel the scribe, who was of the Levites, wrote them in the presence of the king, and the princes, and Zadok the priest, and Ahimelech the son of Abiathar, and the heads of the fathers’ [houses] of the priests and of the Levites: one fathers’ house being taken for Eleazar, and one taken for Ithamar.

लेवियों में से नेथानेल के पुत्र शेमायाह ने राजा, शासकों, पुरोहित सादोक, अबीयाथर के पुत्र अहीमेलेख और पुरोहितों के घरानों और लेवियों के सामने इन्हें लिख लिया. एक घराना एलिएज़र के लिए और एक घराना इथामार के लिए लिखा गया.

7 Now the first lot came forth to Jehoiarib, the second to Jedaiah;

इस प्रक्रिया से पहला पासा यहोइयारिब के लिए, दूसरा येदाइयाह के लिए,

8 the third to Harim, the fourth to Seorim;

तीसरा हारिम के लिए, चौथा सेओरिम के लिए,

9 the fifth to Malchijah, the sixth to Mijamin;

10 the seventh to Hakkoz, the eighth to Abijah;

सातवां हक्कोज़ के लिए, आठवां अबीयाह के लिए,

11 the ninth to Jeshua, the tenth to Shecaniah;

नवां येशुआ के लिए, दसवां शेकानियाह के लिए,

12 the eleventh to Eliashib, the twelfth to Jakim;

ग्यारहवां एलियाशिब के लिए, बारहवां याकिम के लिए,

13 the thirteenth to Huppah, the fourteenth to Jeshebeab;

तेरहवां हुप्पाह के लिए, चौदहवां येशेबियाब के लिए,

14 the fifteenth to Bilgah, the sixteenth to Immer;

पन्द्रहवां बिलगाह के लिए, सोलहवां इम्मर के लिए,

15 the seventeenth to Hezir, the eighteenth to Happizzez;

सत्रहवां हेज़ीर के लिए, अठारहवां हापीज़ीज़ के लिए,

16 the nineteenth to Pethahiah, the twentieth to Jehezkel;

उन्‍नीसवां पेथाइयाह के लिए, बीसवां यहेजकेल के लिए,

17 the one and twentieth to Jachin, the two and twentieth to Gamul;

इक्‍कीसवां याकिन के लिए, बाईसवां गामुल के लिए,

18 the three and twentieth to Delaiah, the four and twentieth to Maaziah.

तेईसवां देलाइयाह के लिए और चौबीसवां माजियाह के लिए निकला.

19 This was the ordering of them in their service, to come into the house of the LORD according to the ordinance [given] unto them by the hand of Aaron their father, as the LORD, the God of Israel, had commanded him.

जब ये अपने पूर्वज अहरोन द्वारा दिए गए आदेश के अनुसार याहवेह के भवन में आए, उन्हें सेवा के लिए ये ही पद सौंपे गए थे-ठीक जैसा आदेश उन्हें याहवेह, इस्राएल के परमेश्वर ने दिया था.

20 And of the rest of the sons of Levi: of the sons of Amram, Shubael; of the sons of Shubael, Jehdeiah.

इनके अलावा लेवी के अन्य वंशजों का लेखा इस प्रकार है: अमराम के पुत्रों में से शेबुएल; शेबुएल के पुत्रों में से येहदेइया.

21 Of Rehabiah: of the sons of Rehabiah, Isshiah the chief.

रेहाबिया के पुत्रों में से इश्शियाह, जो जेठा भी था.

22 Of the Izharites, Shelomoth; of the sons of Shelomoth, Jahath.

इज़हारियों के वंशजों में से शेलोमोथ; शेलोमोथ के वंशजों में से याहाथ.

23 And the sons [of Hebron]; Jeriah [the chief], Amariah the second, Jahaziel the third, Jekameam the fourth.

हेब्रोन के पुत्र थे येरिया: जो जेठा भी था, अमरियाह छोटा था, याहाज़िएल तीसरा और येकामियम चौथा.

24 The sons of Uzziel, Micah; of the sons of Micah, Shamir.

उज्ज़िएल के पुत्रों में से मीकाह; मीकाह के पुत्रों में से शामीर.

25 The brother of Micah, Isshiah: of the sons of Isshiah, Zechariah.

मीकाह का भाई था इश्शियाह; इश्शियाह के पुत्रों में से ज़करयाह.

26 The sons of Merari; Mahli and Mushi: the sons of Jaaziah; Beno.

मेरारी के पुत्र माहली और मूशी; यआत्सियाह का पुत्र बेनो,

27 The sons of Merari; of Jaaziah, Beno, and Shoham, and Zaccur, and Ibri.

मेरारी के पुत्र: बेनो, शोहाम, ज़क्‍कूर और इबरी, जो यआत्सियाह से थे.

28 Of Mahli; Eleazar, who had no sons.

माहली से एलिएज़र, जिसके कोई संतान न हुई.

29 Of Kish; the sons of Kish, Jerahmeel.

कीश से कीश के पुत्र थे: येराहमील.

30 And the sons of Mushi; Mahli, and Eder, and Jerimoth. These were the sons of the Levites after their fathers’ houses.

मूशी के पुत्र माहली एदर और येरीमोथ. ये सभी लेवियों के वंशज थे, जैसा उनके घराने द्वारा स्पष्ट है.

31 These likewise cast lots even as their brethren the sons of Aaron in the presence of David the king, and Zadok, and Ahimelech, and the heads of the fathers’ [houses] of the priests and of the Levites; the fathers’ [houses] of the chief even as those of his younger brother.

ठीक अपने संबंधियों, अहरोन-वंशजों के समान, उन्होंने भी राजा दावीद, सादोक, अहीमेलेख, लेवियों और पुरोहितों के घरानों के प्रधानों के सामने अपने पासे फेंके. ये सभी घरानों के प्रधान भी थे और उनके छोटे भाइयों के कुल के भी.
