Luke 17
1 Jesus said to his disciples, “It is inevitable that there should be temptations but sorrow awaits the person who does the tempting!
१मग येशू त्याच्या शिष्यांना म्हणाला, “ज्यामुळे लोक पाप करतील त्या येतीलच पण ज्याच्यामुळे ती येतात त्याची केवढी दुर्दशा होणार!
2 It would be better for them if they had been flung into the sea with a millstone around their neck, rather than that they should cause even one of these little ones to stumble.
२त्याने या लहानातील एकाला पाप करावयास लावण्यापेक्षा त्याच्या गळ्यात जात्याची तळी बांधून त्यास समुद्रात टाकावे यामध्ये त्याचे हित आहे.
3 Be on your guard! If your brother or sister does wrong, rebuke them; but if they repent, forgive them.
३स्वतःकडे लक्ष द्या! जर तुमचा भाऊ पाप करतो तर त्यास धमकावा आणि जर तो पश्चात्ताप करतो तर त्यास माफ करा.
4 Even if they wrong you seven times a day, but turns to you every time and says ‘I am sorry,’ you must forgive them.”
४जर तो दिवसातून सात वेळा तुझ्याविरुद्ध पाप करतो आणि सात वेळा तुझ्याकडे येतो व म्हणतो, मी पश्चात्ताप करतो, तरीही तू त्यास माफ कर.”
5 “Give us more faith,” said the apostles to the Master;
५मग प्रेषित प्रभू येशूला म्हणाले, “आमचा विश्वास वाढव.”
6 but the Master said, “If your faith were only like a mustard seed, you could say to this mulberry tree ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you.
६प्रभू येशू म्हणाला, “जर तुमचा विश्वास मोहरीच्या दाण्याएवढा असेल तर तुम्ही या तुतीच्या झाडाला म्हणू शकता, मुळासकट उपटून समुद्रात लावली जा. तर ते झाड तुमचे ऐकेल.
7 Which of you, if he had a servant ploughing, or tending the sheep, would say to him, when he came in from the fields, ‘Come at once and take your place at the table,’
७तुमच्यापैकी असा कोण आहे की, त्याचा नांगरणारा किंवा मेंढरे राखणारा दास शेतातून आल्यावर तो त्यास म्हणेल, ‘आत्ताच येऊन जेवायला बस.’
8 Instead of saying ‘Prepare my dinner, and then make yourself ready and serve me while I am eating and drinking, and after that you will eat and drink yourself’?
८उलट माझे जेवण तयार कर, ‘माझे खाणेपिणे होईपर्यंत कंबर बांधून माझी सेवा कर आणि मग तू खा व पी,’ असे तो त्यास म्हणणार नाही काय?
9 Does he feel grateful to his servant for doing what he is told?
९ज्या गोष्टी करण्याबद्दल तुम्ही नोकराला हुकुम करता ते केल्याबद्दल तुम्ही त्यास धन्यवाद म्हणता का?
10 And so with you – when you have done all that you have been told, still say ‘We are but useless servants; we have done no more than we ought to have done.’”
१०तुमच्या बाबतीतही तसेच आहे. जेव्हा तुम्हास करण्यास सांगितलेली सर्व कामे केल्यावर तुम्ही असे म्हणले पाहिजे, आम्ही कोणत्याही मानास लायक नसलेले नोकर आहोत आम्ही फक्त आमचे कर्तव्य केले आहे.”
11 On the way to Jerusalem Jesus passed between Samaria and Galilee.
११मग असे झाले की, तो यरूशलेम शहराकडे चालला असता, शोमरोन व गालील प्रांताच्या सीमा यांमधून गेला.
12 As he was entering a village, ten lepers met him.
१२तो कोणाएका खेड्यात जात असताना तेथे त्यास कुष्ठरोगाने ग्रस्त दहा पुरूष भेटले
13 Standing still, some distance off, they called out loudly, “Jesus! Sir! Pity us!”
१३आणि ते दूर उभे राहून मोठमोठ्याने ओरडून म्हणाले “येशू, स्वामी, आमच्यावर दया करा,” असे बोलून त्यांनी त्याच्याकडे आरोळी केली.
14 When Jesus saw them, he said, “Go and show yourselves to the priest.” And, as they were on their way, they were made clean.
१४जेव्हा येशूने कुष्ठरोग्यांना पाहिले, तेव्हा तो त्यांना म्हणाला, “जा आणि स्वतःला याजकांना दाखवा.” ते याजकाकडे जात असतांनाच शुद्ध झाले,
15 One of them, finding he was cured, came back, praising God loudly,
१५जेव्हा त्यांच्यातील एकाने पाहिले की आपण बरे झालो आहोत तेव्हा तो परत आला व तो मोठ्याने ओरडून देवाचे गौरव करू लागला.
16 and threw himself on his face at Jesus’ feet, thanking him for what he had done; and this man was a Samaritan.
१६तो येशूच्या पायाजवळ खाली पडला व त्याने त्यास नमन केले. तसेच त्याने त्याचे उपकार मानले. तो एक शोमरोनी होता.
17 “Were not all the ten made clean? exclaimed Jesus. But the nine – where are they?
१७येशू त्यास म्हणाला, “दहाजण शुद्ध झाले नाहीत काय? बाकीचे नऊजण कोठे आहेत?
18 Were there none to come back and praise God except this foreigner?
१८या विदेशी मनुष्याशिवाय कोणीही देवाचे गौरव करण्यासाठी परत आला नाही काय?”
19 Get up,” he said to him, “and go on your way. Your faith has delivered you.”
१९तो त्यास म्हणाला, “ऊठ आणि जा, तुझ्या विश्वासाने तुला बरे केले आहे.”
20 Being once asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God was to come, Jesus answered, “The kingdom of God does not come in a way that can be seen,
२०परूश्यांनी येशूला विचारले, देवाचे राज्य केव्हा येईल, येशूने त्यांना उत्तर दिले, “देवाचे राज्य दृश्य स्वरुपात येत नाही.
21 nor will people say ‘Look, here it is!’ or ‘There it is!’; for the kingdom of God is within you!
२१पाहा, ते येथे आहे किंवा तेथे आहे! असे म्हणणार नाहीत कारण देवाचे राज्य तर तुमच्यामध्ये आहे.”
22 The day will come,” he said to his disciples, “when you will long to see but one of the days of the Son of Man, and will not see it.
२२शिष्यांना तो म्हणाला, “मनुष्याच्या पुत्राच्या येण्याच्या दिवसापैकी एका दिवसाची तुम्ही आतुरतेने वाट पाहाल. पण तो दिवस तुम्ही पाहू शकणार नाही, असे दिवस येतील.
23 People will say to you ‘There he is!’ Or ‘Here he is!’ Do not go and follow them.
२३आणि लोक तुम्हास म्हणतील, पाहा, तो तर येथे आहे किंवा पाहा, तो तेथे आहे, तेव्हा तुम्ही मला पाहाण्यासाठी त्यांच्यामागे जाऊ नका.
24 For, just as lightning will lighten and flare from one side of the heavens to the other, so will it be with the Son of Man.
२४कारण जशी वीज आकाशाच्या एका सिमेपासुन दुसऱ्या सिमेपर्यंत चमकते तसेच मनुष्याच्या पुत्राचे येणे त्याच्या दिवसात होईल.
25 But first he must undergo much suffering, and he must be rejected by the present generation.
२५पण पहिल्याने त्याने खूप दुःख भोगावे व या पिढीकडून नाकारले जावे याचे अगत्य आहे.
26 As it was in the days of Noah, so will it be again in the days of the Son of Man.
२६जसे नोहाच्या दिवसात झाले, तसेच मनुष्याच्या पुत्राच्या दिवसात पण होईल.
27 They were eating and drinking and marrying and being married, up to the very day on which Noah entered the ark, and then the flood came and destroyed them all.
२७नोहाने तारवात प्रवेश केला आणि मग महापूर आला व त्या सर्वांचा नाश झाला त्या दिवसापर्यंत ते खात होते, पीत होते, लग्न करून घेत होते आणि लग्न करुनही देत होते.
28 So, too, in the days of Lot. People were eating, drinking, buying, selling, planting, building;
२८त्याचप्रमाणे, लोटाच्या दिवसात झाले तसे होईलः ते खात होते, पीत होते. विकत घेत होते. विकत देत होते. लागवड करीत होते. बांधीत होते.
29 but, on the very day on which Lot came out of Sodom, it rained fire and sulfur from the skies and destroyed them all.
२९पण ज्या दिवशी लोट सदोम सोडून बाहेर निघाला त्यादिवशी आकाशातून आग व गंधक यांचा पाऊस पडला आणि सर्वांचा नाश केला.
30 It will be the same on the day on which the Son of Man reveals himself.
३०मनुष्याचा पुत्र प्रकट होण्याच्या दिवशीही असेच घडेल
31 On that day, if a person is on their house-top and their goods in the house, they must not go down to get them; nor again must one who is on the farm turn back.
३१त्यादिवशी जर एखादा छतावर असेल व त्याचे सामान घरात असेल, तर त्याने ते बाहेर काढण्यासाठी घरात जाऊ नये. त्याचप्रमाणे जो शेतात असेल त्याने परत जाऊ नये.
32 Remember Lot’s wife.
३२लोटाच्या पत्नीची आठवण करा.
33 Whoever is eager to get the most out of their life will lose it; but whoever will lose it will preserve it.
३३जो कोणी आपला जीव वाचवू पाहतो तो आपला जीव गमवेल आणि जो कोणी आपला जीव गमावील तो त्यास वाचवील.
34 On that night, I tell you, of two people on the same bed, one will be taken and the other left;
३४मी तुम्हास सांगतो, त्या रात्री बिछान्यावर दोघे असतील, त्यांच्यामधून एक घेतला जाईल व दुसरा ठेवला जाईल.
35 of two women grinding grain together, one will be taken and the other left.”
३५दोन स्त्रिया दळण करत असतील, तर त्यांपैकी एक घेतली जाईल व दुसरी ठेवली जाईल.
३६शेतात दोघे असतील एकाला घेतले जाईल व दुसऱ्याला ठेवले जाईल.”
37 “Where will it be, Master?” asked the disciples. “Where there is a body,” said Jesus, “there will the vultures flock.”
३७शिष्यांनी त्यास विचारले, कोठे प्रभू? येशूने उत्तर दिले, “जेथे प्रेत असेल तेथे गिधाडे जमतील.”
