< Zechariah 12 >

1 An oracle. This is the message of the Lord about Israel. The Lord who stretches out the heavens, and lays the foundation of the earth, and forms the human spirit within people says:
Ọ̀rọ̀-ìmọ̀. Ọ̀rọ̀ Olúwa fún Israẹli ni. Olúwa wí, ẹni tí ó na àwọn ọ̀run, tí ó sì fi ìpìlẹ̀ ayé sọlẹ̀, tí ó sì da ẹ̀mí ènìyàn tí ń bẹ ni inú rẹ̀,
2 Look! I am about to make Jerusalem a cup of drunkenness for all the surrounding peoples. There will be a siege of Jerusalem.
“Kíyèsi í, èmi yóò sọ Jerusalẹmu dí àgọ́ ìwárìrì sí gbogbo ènìyàn yíká, nígbà tí wọn yóò dó ti Juda àti Jerusalẹmu.
3 On that day that I will make Jerusalem a stone to be lifted up by all the peoples. All who lift it up will surely hurt themselves! And all the nations of the earth will be gathered together against it.
Ní ọjọ́ náà, nígbà tí gbogbo orílẹ̀-èdè ayé bá parapọ̀ sí i, ni èmi yóò sọ Jerusalẹmu di òkúta ti ko ṣe yí kúrò fún gbogbo ènìyàn, gbogbo àwọn tí ó bá sì fẹ́ yí i ni a ó gé sí wẹ́wẹ́,
4 On that day, says the Lord, I will strike every horse with panic and its rider with madness. But over the house of Judah I will keep watch, though I strike every horse belonging to the peoples with blindness.
ní ọjọ́ náà,” ni Olúwa wí, “Ni èmi yóò fi ìdágìrì lu gbogbo ẹṣin, àti fi òmùgọ̀ kọlu ẹni tí ń gun un; èmi yóò sì ṣí ojú mi sí ilé Juda, èmi yóò sì bu ìfọ́jú lu gbogbo ẹṣin tí orílẹ̀-èdè.
5 And the chieftains of Judah will say to themselves, ‘The strength of the inhabitants is in the Lord of hosts their God.’
Àti àwọn baálẹ̀ Juda yóò sì wí ni ọkàn wọn pé, ‘Àwọn ara Jerusalẹmu ni agbára mi nípa Olúwa àwọn ọmọ-ogun ni Ọlọ́run wọn.’
6 In that day I will make the chieftains of Judah like a pan of fire in the woods, like a torch among sheaves, they will devour right and left all the surrounding peoples. But Jerusalem will abide on its own site.
“Ní ọjọ́ náà, ni èmi yóò ṣe àwọn baálẹ̀ Juda bí ààrò iná kan láàrín igi, àti bi ẹ̀fúùfù iná láàrín ìtí; wọn yóò sì jẹ gbogbo àwọn ènìyàn run yíká lápá ọ̀tún àti lápá òsì, a ó sì tún máa gbé inú Jerusalẹmu ní ipò rẹ̀.
7 And the Lord will first give victory to the tents of Judah, so that the glory of the house of David, and of the inhabitants of Jerusalem be not exalted above Judah.
“Olúwa pẹ̀lú yóò kọ́ tètè gba àgọ́ Juda là ná, kí ògo ilé Dafidi àti ògo àwọn ara Jerusalẹmu má ba gbé ara wọn ga sí Juda.
8 In that day the Lord will protect the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and the feeblest among them will in that day be like David, and the house of David like God, like the messenger of the Lord before them.
Ní ọjọ́ náà ni Olúwa yóò dáàbò bò àwọn tí ń gbé Jerusalẹmu; ẹni tí ó bá sì ṣe àìlera nínú wọn ní ọjọ́ náà, yóò dàbí Dafidi; ilé Dafidi yóò sì dàbí Ọlọ́run, bí angẹli Olúwa níwájú wọn.
9 And in that day I will seek to destroy all the nations who have come up against Jerusalem.
Yóò sì ṣe ni ọjọ́ náà, èmi yóò wá láti pa gbogbo àwọn orílẹ̀-èdè run tí ó wá kọjú ìjà sí Jerusalẹmu.”
10 And I will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem the spirit of pity and compassion. They will look on him whom they have pierced and they will lament for him as one laments for an only son. They will bitterly grieve for him as one grieves for the firstborn.
“Èmi ó sì tu ẹ̀mí oore-ọ̀fẹ́ àti ẹ̀bẹ̀ sórí ilé Dafidi àti sórí Jerusalẹmu, wọn ó sì máa wo ẹni tí wọn tí gún ni ọ̀kọ̀, wọn ó sì máa ṣọ̀fọ̀ rẹ̀, bí ẹnìkan ti ń ṣọ̀fọ̀ fún ọmọ rẹ̀ kan ṣoṣo àti gẹ́gẹ́ bí ènìyàn tí wọn yóò sì wà ni ìbànújẹ́, bí ẹni tí ń banújẹ́ fún àkọ́bí rẹ̀.
11 In that day mourning will be as great in Jerusalem as the mourning for Hadad-rimmon in the plain of Megiddo.
Ní ọjọ́ náà ni ẹkún, ńlá ńlá yóò wà ni Jerusalẹmu, gẹ́gẹ́ bí ọ̀fọ̀ Hadadi Rimoni ni àfonífojì Megido.
12 And the land will mourn, each family by itself: the family of the house of David by itself, and their wives by themselves, and the family of the house of Nathan by itself, and their wives by themselves,
Ilẹ̀ náà yóò ṣọ̀fọ̀, ìdílé, kọ̀ọ̀kan fun ara rẹ, lọ́tọ̀ọ̀tọ̀; ìdílé Dafidi lọ́tọ̀; àti àwọn aya wọn lọ́tọ̀; ìdílé Natani lọ́tọ̀, àti àwọn aya wọn lọ́tọ́.
13 and the family of the house of Levi by itself, and their wives by themselves, the family of the Shimeites by itself, and their wives by themselves,
Ìdílé Lefi lọ́tọ̀, àti àwọn aya wọn lọ́tọ̀; ìdílé Ṣimei lọ́tọ̀, àti àwọn aya wọn lọ́tọ̀.
14 and all the families who are left, each by itself, and their wives by themselves.
Gbogbo àwọn ìdílé tí o kù, ìdílé, ìdílé, lọ́tọ̀ọ̀tọ̀, àti àwọn aya wọn lọ́tọ̀ọ̀tọ̀.
