< Revelation 2 >

1 ‘To the angel of the church in Ephesus write These are the words of him who holds the seven stars in his right hand, and walks among the seven golden lamps:
Basa naa ma, Atahori Matetuꞌ a parenda au nae, “Yohanis. Musi suraꞌ susura esa. Liin taꞌo ia: ‘Soaꞌ neu jamaꞌat sia kota Efesus: Susura ia, mia Au, naeni Yesus. Au mana toꞌu nduu kahituꞌ sia lima ona ngga. Au mana lao rereoꞌ mete lambu lilo kahituꞌ naa ra esa-esaꞌ. Rena oꞌola ngga ia.
2 I know your life, your toil and endurance, and I know that you cannot tolerate evildoers. I know, too, how you tested those who declare that they are apostles, though they are not, and how you proved them false.
Au ita masodꞌa mara sia kota Efesus ena. Hei soaꞌ a tao-ues mitaꞌ mamate mara fee neu Lamatuaꞌ. Mete ma hambu atahori deꞌulakaꞌ sia taladꞌa mara, hei nda mboꞌi e sa. 3 You possess endurance, and have borne much for my name, and have never grown weary.
Mae atahori tao raꞌasususaꞌ nggi huu mimihere Au, te miꞌitataaꞌ mikindoo, nda miꞌidedꞌeaꞌ sa.
4 But this I have against you – You have abandoned your first love.
Te Au ita hei tudꞌa sia dalaꞌ sa. Feꞌesaꞌan hei feꞌe mulai mimihere Au, hei esa sue esa. Te ia naa hei nda onaꞌ naa sa ena.
5 Therefore remember from what you have fallen, and repent, and live the life that you lived before; or else, I will come and remove your Lamp from its place, unless you repent.
De musi misinedꞌa lele uluꞌ naa. Te ia naa, miꞌidꞌodꞌooꞌ mia tatao-nonoꞌi lele-uluꞌ naa ena. Naa de, musi miloeꞌ mia sala-singgo mara ia, fo sue-lai esa no esa ona maꞌahulun. Te mete ma hokoꞌ, dei fo Au uma haꞌi endi baliꞌ lambu liloꞌ a mia nggi.
6 But this is in your favour – You hate the life lived by the Nikolaitans, and I also hate it.
Te rala ngga namahoꞌo mbei ena, huu hei nda simbo Nikolai nenorin fo ana dedenu nara tao tunggaꞌ a.
7 Anyone with ears should hear what the Spirit is saying to the churches. To him who conquers – to him I will give the right to eat the fruit of the Tree of life, which stands in the Paradise of God.
Dadꞌi! Rena malolole saa fo Lamatuaꞌ Dula-dalen nafadꞌe neu jamaꞌat nara. Atahori mana maꞌatataaꞌ tungga Au losa mate, dei fo Au fee isin, fo ana naa boaꞌ mia hau huuꞌ mana sia Lamatualain osin. Te atahori mana naa hau boaꞌ naa, ana hambu masodꞌaꞌ tebꞌe-tebꞌeꞌ nda namaetu ma basa sa.’”
8 ‘To the angel of the church in Smyrna write: These are the words of him who is the First and the Last, who died, but is restored to life:
Basa ma Atahori Matetuꞌ naa tute oꞌolan nae, “Yohanis, ia naa musi suraꞌ susura laen. Liin taꞌo ia: ‘Soaꞌ neu jamaꞌat sia kota Smirna: Susura ia mia Au, naeni Yesus. Basaꞌ e laoꞌ mia Au, eniꞌ a mia fefeun losa babꞌasan. Feꞌesaꞌan Au mate, te ia naa usodꞌa baliꞌ ena. De rena oꞌola ngga ia.
9 I know your persecution and your poverty – yet you are rich! I know, too, the slander that comes from those who declare that they are God’s people, though they are not, but are a congregation of Satan.
Au ita hei misodꞌa doidꞌoso sia kota Smirna. Tungga atahori dudꞌuꞌan, hei mana toꞌa-taaꞌ. Tao-tao te tungga Lamatuaꞌ, hei mamasuꞌiꞌ. Atahori ruma rataa rae sira Lamatua atahorin, te ara mana olaꞌ raꞌamuti hei nara malole mara. Sira ia, nda Lamatuaꞌ atahori nara sa. Ara onaꞌ jamaꞌat esa mana tungga-tunggaꞌ nitu ra malanggan.
10 Do not be afraid of what you are about to suffer. The devil is about to throw some of you into prison so that you may be tempted, and may undergo persecution for ten days. Be faithful even to death, and I will give you the Crown of life.
Dadꞌi rena malolole. Afiꞌ mimitau mete ma hei feꞌe hambu susa-sonaꞌ. Sadꞌi ama bubꞌuluꞌ, nitu ra malanggan nae sangga atahori fo tao hei ruma bui rala mii losa fai sanahulu. Hiihi na, hei misidꞌea lao hela Au. Mae ara rae tao risa hei o, afiꞌ liliꞌ Au. Te atahori mana maꞌatataaꞌ tungga Au losa mate, dei fo Au bala-baꞌe papala-babꞌanggin, fo nasodꞌa nakandoo naꞌabꞌue no Au.
11 Let those who have ears hear what the Spirit is saying to the churches. Those who conquer will suffer no hurt from the Second Death.
Dadꞌi! Rena malolole saa fo Lamatuaꞌ Dula-dalen nafadꞌe neu jamaꞌat nara. Atahori mana maꞌatataaꞌ tungga Au losa mate, ana nda doidꞌoso sia tasi ai mana mbila rorooꞌ nda naloeꞌ sa. No taꞌo naa, ana nda mate lao karuan sa.’”
12 ‘To the angel of the church in Pergamus write: These are the words of him who holds the sharp two-edged sword:
Boe ma Atahori Matetuꞌ a tute seluꞌ oꞌolan fai nae, “Yohanis, ia naa musi suraꞌ susura laen fai. Liin taꞌo ia: ‘Soaꞌ neu jamaꞌat sia kota Pergamus: Susura ia, mia Au naeni Yesus. Au mana toꞌu fela tafa tandeꞌ deaꞌ-ralaꞌ. Rena oꞌola Ngga ia.
13 I know where you live, where the throne of Satan stands. And yet you hold to my name, and you did not disown my faith even in the days of Antipas, my faithful witness, who was put to death among you where Satan dwells.
Au uhine hei kota Pergamus ma ena. Mana toꞌu parendaꞌ sia naa, naeni nitu ra malanggan. Mae onaꞌ naa o, hei toꞌu mihereꞌ nara Ngga ma mimihere mikindoo neu Au. Dalahulun atahori Ngga esa sia naa, naran Antipas. Ana soaꞌ a nanori dꞌala masodꞌa Ngga no matetuꞌ te ara tao risa e. Mae taꞌo naa o, hei nda mifinii Au sa.
14 Yet I have a few things against you – You have among you those who hold to the teaching of Balaam, who taught Balak to put temptations in the way of the Israelites, so that they should eat idol-offerings and commit licentious acts.
Te Au ita hei tudꞌa sia dalaꞌ esa-rua. Hambu hei ruma hiiꞌ a tungga Balaam nenorin.
15 Again you have among you those who hold in the same way to the teaching of the Nikolaitans.
Hambu atahori hira mia hei e tungga Nikolai nenorin.
16 Therefore repent, or else, I will come quickly and contend with such people with words that will cut like a sword.
De musi miloeꞌ mia sala-singgo mara. Mete ma hokoꞌ, nda dooꞌ sa fai, te Au uma ungguruli hei endiꞌ dedꞌea-oꞌola tandeꞌ, mana nahina onaꞌ fela tafaꞌ.
17 Let those who have ears hear what the Spirit is saying to the churches. To those who conquer – to them I will give a share of the mystic manna, and I will give them a white stone; and on the stone will be inscribed a new name, which no one knows except the person who receives it.
Dadꞌi! Rena malolole saa fo Lamatuaꞌ Dula-dalen nafadꞌe neu jamaꞌat nara. Atahori mana maꞌatataaꞌ tungga Au losa mate, dei fo Au fee ne naa roti manna mia sorga fo mana nenembedꞌaꞌ malololeꞌ.
18 ‘To the angel of the church in Thyatira write: These are the words of the Son of God, whose eyes are like flaming fire, and whose feet are like brass:
Basa ma Atahori Matetuꞌ a tute seluꞌ oꞌolan nae, “Yohanis, ia naa ho musi suraꞌ seluꞌ susura sa fai, liin taꞌo ia: ‘Soaꞌ neu jamaꞌat sia kota Tiatira: Susura ia, mia Au, Yesus, naeni Lamatualain Anan. Au mata Ngga mbila onaꞌ ai, Ei ngga mbilas mbila onaꞌ riti nenelalanggeꞌ sia ai rala. Rena oꞌola Ngga ia.
19 I know your life, your love, faith, service, and endurance; and I know that your life of late has been better than it was at first.
Au ita masodꞌa mara ena. Hei sue tebꞌe Au ma mimihere tebꞌe-tebꞌeꞌ neu Au. Onaꞌ mae atahori tao raꞌasususaꞌ nggi o, miꞌitataaꞌ mikindoo. Au o bubꞌuluꞌ ae, ia naa, hei ue-tao manggate lenaꞌ fee Au.
20 Yet I have this against you – You tolerate the woman Jezebel, who declares that she is a prophet, and misleads my servants by her teaching, until they commit licentious acts and eat idol-offerings.
Te hei tudꞌa sia salaꞌ esa rala: hei simbo no maloleꞌ inaꞌ fo naran Isabel, mana soꞌu-soꞌuꞌ aon nae, eni Lamatuaꞌ mana ola-olan. Basa ma hei mboꞌi e fo nanori sala Au atahori nggara. Huu nenori mana pepeko-lelekoꞌ naa, losa Au atahori nggara tungga hohongge, ma raa nanaa sosonggoꞌ.
21 I gave her time to repent, but she is determined not to turn from her licentiousness.
Au ai usufafali inaꞌ naa ena, fo lao hela salaꞌ naa. Te ana nda nau sa.
22 Therefore I am laying her on a bed of sickness, and bringing great suffering on those who are unfaithful with her, unless they repent and turn from a life like hers.
De mete malolole. Te ia naa Au uꞌetuꞌ fo hukun e no hedꞌis esa, losa ana nda fela hela mamana susunggun sa.
23 I will also put her children to death; and all the churches will learn that I am he who looks into people’s hearts and souls; and I will give to each one of you what their life deserves.
Dei fo tao isa ina deꞌulakaꞌ naa ana nara. No taꞌo naa, basa hei mana mamahereꞌ ra mihine, mae Au bubꞌuluꞌ basa atahori rala nara. Dei fo Au bala-bꞌae nggi tungga tatao-nonoꞌi mara.
24 But I say to the rest of you at Thyatira – all who do not accept such teaching, whose who did not learn the secrets of Satan, as people call them – I am not laying on you any further burden;
Te hei laen mana sia Tiatira ra, nda tungga inaꞌ naa nenori deꞌulakan sa. Hei nda simbo nenori maꞌafuniꞌ fo ara rae, ‘nitu ra nenori maꞌahatun’. Huu naa, Au nda parlu ai nggi sa ena,
25 only hold fast to what you have received, until I come.
sadꞌi toꞌu mihereꞌ nemehere mara losa Au uma.
26 To those who conquer and are careful to live my life to the end – to them I will give authority over the nations,
Atahori mana maꞌatataaꞌ tungga Au losa mate, dei fo Au fee ne koasa. Koasa naa, koasa monaeꞌ, onaꞌ Au hambu mia Ama Ngga, fo parenda basa atahori sia raefafoꞌ no lima besiꞌ.
27 and they will rule them with an iron rod, as when earthen vessels are broken in pieces (as I myself have received from my Father)
28 and I will give them the morning star.
29 Let those who have ears hear what the Spirit is saying to the churches.
Dadꞌi! Rena malolole sa fo Lamatuaꞌ Dula-dalen nafadꞌe neu jamaꞌat ra.’”
