< Matthew 8 >

1 When Jesus had come down from the hill, great crowds followed him.
(When was coming down *N+kO) now (He *N+kO) from the mountain followed Him crowds great.
2 He saw a leper who came up, and bowed to the ground before him, and said, ‘Master, if only you are willing, you are able to make me clean.’
And behold a leper (having come near *N+kO) was worshipping Him saying; Lord, if You shall be willing, You are able me to cleanse.
3 Stretching out his hand, Jesus touched him, saying as he did so, ‘I am willing; become clean.’ Instantly he was made clean from his leprosy;
And having stretched out the hand He touched of him (Jesus *K) saying; I am willing, do be cleansed. And immediately was cleansed his leprosy.
4 and then Jesus said to him, ‘Be careful not to say a word to anyone, but go and show yourself to the priest, and offer the gift directed by Moses, as evidence of your cure.’
And says to him Jesus; do see that to no one may you tell, But do go yourself do show to the priest and do offer the gift that commanded Moses for a testimony to them.
5 After Jesus had entered Capernaum, a centurion in the Roman army came up to him, entreating his help.

6 ‘Sir,’ he said, ‘my manservant is lying ill at my house with a stroke of paralysis, and is suffering terribly.’
and saying; Lord, the servant of mine has been laid in the house paralyzed grievously being tormented.
7 ‘I will come and cure him,’ answered Jesus.
And He says to him (Jesus: *ko) I myself having come will heal him.
8 ‘Sir,’ the centurion went on, ‘I am unworthy to receive you under my roof; but only speak, and my manservant will be cured.
And answering (now *o) the centurion was saying; Lord, not I am worthy that my under the roof You may come, but only do speak (a word, *N+kO) and will be healed the servant of mine.
9 For I myself am a man under the orders of others, with soldiers under me; and, if I say to one of them “Go,” he goes, and to another “Come,” he comes, and to my slave “Do this,” he does it.’
Also for I myself a man am under authority (appointed *O) having under myself soldiers and I say to this [one]; do go, and he goes, and to another; do come, and he comes, and to the servant of mine; do enact this, and he enacts [it].
10 Jesus was surprised to hear this, and said to those who were following him, ‘Never I tell you, in any Israelite have I met with such faith as this!
Having heard now Jesus marveled and He said to those following; Amen I say to you; (such *no) (no [one] *N+kO) so great faith in Israel have I found.
11 Yes, and many will come in from East and West and take their places beside Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven;
I say now to you that many from east and west will come and they will recline with Abraham and Isaac and Jacob in the kingdom of the heavens.
12 while the heirs to the kingdom will be banished into the darkness outside; there, there will be weeping and grinding of teeth.’
the however sons of the kingdom will be cast out into the darkness the outer; there will be the weeping and the gnashing of the teeth.
13 Then Jesus said to the centurion, ‘Go now, and it will be according to your faith.’ And the man was cured that very hour.
And said Jesus to the centurion; do go, (and *ko) as you have believed it should be [done] to you. And was healed the servant of him in the hour that.
14 When Jesus went into Peter’s house, he saw Peter’s mother-in-law prostrated with fever.
And having come Jesus to the house of Peter He saw the mother-in-law of him lain down and fevering
15 On his taking her hand, the fever left her, and she rose and began to take care of him.
And He touched the hand of her, and left her the fever. and she arose and was ministering (to him. *N+KO)
16 In the evening the people brought to Jesus many who were possessed by demons; and he drove out the spirits with a word, and cured all who were ill,
When evening now having come they brought to Him being demonised many, and He cast out the spirits by a word, and all those sick being He healed,
17 in fulfilment of these words in the prophet Isaiah – “He took our infirmities on himself, and bore the burden of our diseases.”
so that it may be fulfilled that having been spoken through Isaiah the prophet saying; Himself the infirmities of us He took and [our] diseases bore.
18 Seeing a crowd round him, Jesus gave orders to go across.
Having seen now Jesus (great *KO) (crowd *N+kO) around Him He commanded to depart to the other side.
19 A teacher of the Law came up to him, and said, ‘Teacher, I will follow you wherever you go.’
And having come to [Him] one scribe said to Him; Teacher, I will follow You wherever if You shall go.
20 ‘Foxes have holes,’ answered Jesus, ‘and wild birds their nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay his head.’
And says to him Jesus; Foxes holes have and the birds of the air nests, but the Son of Man no has [place] where the head He may lay.
21 ‘Master,’ said another, who was a disciple, ‘let me first go and bury my father.’
Another now of the disciples of Him said to Him; Lord, do allow me first to go and to bury the father of mine.
22 But Jesus answered, ‘Follow me, and leave the dead to bury their dead.’
But Jesus (speaks *N+kO) to him; do follow Me, and do leave the dead to bury their own dead.
23 Then he got into the boat, followed by his disciples.
And having climbed He into the boat followed Him the disciples of Him.
24 Suddenly so great a storm came up on the sea, that the waves broke right over the boat. But Jesus was asleep;
And behold a storm great arose in the sea so that the boat being swamped by the waves; He Himself however was sleeping.
25 and the disciples came and roused him. ‘Master,’ they cried, ‘save us; we are lost!’
And having come to [Him] (the disciples of Him *k) they awoke Him saying; Lord, do save (us *k) we are perishing!
26 ‘Why are you so timid?’ he said. ‘You of little faith!’ Then Jesus rose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and a great calm followed.
And He says to them; Why fearful are you, O [you] of little faith? Then having arisen He rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a calm great.
27 The men were amazed, and exclaimed, ‘What kind of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him!’
And the men marveled saying; What kind [of man] is this that even the winds and the sea Him obey
28 On getting to the other side – the region of the Gadarenes – Jesus met two men who were possessed by demons, coming out of the tombs. They were so violent that no one was able to pass that way.
And (when was coming He *N+kO) to the other side to the region of the (Gadarenes *N+KO) met Him two being demonised out of the tombs coming forth, violent extremely, so that not to be able anyone to pass through the way that.
29 Suddenly they shrieked out, ‘What do you want with us, Son of God? Have you come here to torment us before our time?’
And behold they cried out saying; What to us and to you (Jesus *k) Son of God? Are You come here before [the] time to torment us?
30 A long way off, there was a herd of many pigs, feeding;
There was now far off from them a herd of pigs many feeding.
31 and the foul spirits began begging Jesus, ‘If you drive us out, send us into the herd of pigs.’
And the demons were begging Him saying; If You cast out us, (do allow *K) (do send away *N+KO) (us *N+kO) into the herd of pigs.
32 ‘Go,’ he said. The spirits came out, and entered the pigs; and the whole herd rushed down the steep slope into the sea, and died in the water.
And He said to them; do go. And having gone out they went away into (herd *k) (pigs, *N+kO) and behold rushed all the herd (of the of pigs *k) down the steep bank into the sea, and perished in the waters.
33 At this the men who tended them ran away and went to the town, carrying the news of all that had occurred, and of what had happened to the possessed men.
Those now feeding [them] fled, and having gone away into the city they related everything including the [matter] of those being demonised.
34 At the news the whole town went out to meet Jesus, and, when they saw him, they entreated him to go away from their region.
And behold all the city went out to (meet *N+kO) Jesus, And having seen Him they begged [Him] that He may depart from the region of them.
