Matthew 24
1 Leaving the Temple Courts, Jesus was walking away, when his disciples came up to draw his attention to the Temple buildings.
१जब यीशु मन्दिर से निकलकर जा रहा था, तो उसके चेले उसको मन्दिर की रचना दिखाने के लिये उसके पास आए।
2 ‘Do you see all these things?’ was his answer. ‘I tell you, not a single stone will be left here on another, which will not be thrown down,’
२उसने उनसे कहा, “क्या तुम यह सब नहीं देखते? मैं तुम से सच कहता हूँ, यहाँ पत्थर पर पत्थर भी न छूटेगा, जो ढाया न जाएगा।”
3 so, while Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, his disciples came up to him privately and said, ‘Tell us when this will be, and what will be the sign of your coming, and of the close of the age.’ (aiōn g165)
३और जब वह जैतून पहाड़ पर बैठा था, तो चेलों ने अलग उसके पास आकर कहा, “हम से कह कि ये बातें कब होंगी? और तेरे आने का, और जगत के अन्त का क्या चिन्ह होगा?” (aiōn g165)
4 Jesus replied to them, ‘See that no one leads you astray;
४यीशु ने उनको उत्तर दिया, “सावधान रहो! कोई तुम्हें न बहकाने पाए।
5 for, many will take my name, and come saying “I am the Christ,” and will lead many astray.
५क्योंकि बहुत से ऐसे होंगे जो मेरे नाम से आकर कहेंगे, ‘मैं मसीह हूँ’, और बहुतों को बहका देंगे।
6 You will hear of wars and rumours of wars; take care not to be alarmed, for such things must occur; but the end is not yet here.
६तुम लड़ाइयों और लड़ाइयों की चर्चा सुनोगे; देखो घबरा न जाना क्योंकि इनका होना अवश्य है, परन्तु उस समय अन्त न होगा।
7 For nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in various places.
७क्योंकि जाति पर जाति, और राज्य पर राज्य चढ़ाई करेगा, और जगह-जगह अकाल पड़ेंगे, और भूकम्प होंगे।
8 All this, however, will be but the beginning of the birth pangs!
८ये सब बातें पीड़ाओं का आरम्भहोंगी।
9 When that time comes, they will give you up to persecution, and will put you to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me.
९तब वे क्लेश दिलाने के लिये तुम्हें पकड़वाएँगे, और तुम्हें मार डालेंगे और मेरे नाम के कारण सब जातियों के लोग तुम से बैर रखेंगे।
10 And then many will fall away, and will betray one another, and hate one another.
१०तब बहुत सारे ठोकर खाएँगे, और एक दूसरे को पकड़वाएँगे और एक दूसरे से बैर रखेंगे।
11 Many false prophets, also, will appear and lead many astray;
११बहुत से झूठे भविष्यद्वक्ता उठ खड़े होंगे, और बहुतों को बहकाएँगे।
12 and, owing to the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold.
१२और अधर्म के बढ़ने से बहुतों का प्रेम ठंडा हो जाएगा।
13 Yet the person who endures to the end will be saved.
१३परन्तु जो अन्त तक धीरज धरे रहेगा, उसी का उद्धार होगा।
14 This good news of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the world as a witness to all nations; and then will come the end.
१४और राज्य का यह सुसमाचार सारे जगत में प्रचारकिया जाएगा, कि सब जातियों पर गवाही हो, तब अन्त आ जाएगा।
15 As soon, then, as you see “the Foul Desecration,” mentioned by the prophet Daniel, standing in the Holy place,’ (the reader must consider what this means)
१५“इसलिए जब तुम उस उजाड़नेवाली घृणित वस्तु को जिसकी चर्चा दानिय्येल भविष्यद्वक्ता के द्वारा हुई थी, पवित्रस्थान में खड़ी हुई देखो, (जो पढ़े, वह समझे)।
16 ‘then those of you who are in Judea must take refuge in the mountains;
१६तब जो यहूदिया में हों वे पहाड़ों पर भाग जाएँ।
17 and a man on the housetop must not go down to get the things that are in his house;
१७जो छत पर हो, वह अपने घर में से सामान लेने को न उतरे।
18 nor must one who is on their farm turn back to get his cloak.
१८और जो खेत में हो, वह अपना कपड़ा लेने को पीछे न लौटे।
19 Alas for pregnant women, and for those who are nursing infants in those days!
१९“उन दिनों में जो गर्भवती और दूध पिलाती होंगी, उनके लिये हाय, हाय।
20 Pray, too, that your flight may not take place in winter, nor on a Sabbath;
२०और प्रार्थना करो; कि तुम्हें जाड़े में या सब्त के दिन भागना न पड़े।
21 for that will be a time of great distress, the like of which has not occurred from the beginning of the world down to the present time – no, nor ever will again.
२१क्योंकि उस समय ऐसा भारी क्लेश होगा, जैसा जगत के आरम्भ से न अब तक हुआ, और न कभी होगा।
22 Had not those days been limited, not a single soul would escape; but for the sake of God’s people a limit will be put to them.
२२और यदि वे दिन घटाए न जाते, तो कोई प्राणी न बचता; परन्तु चुने हुओं के कारण वे दिन घटाए जाएँगे।
23 At that time, if anyone should say to you “Look! Here is the Christ!” or “Here he is!”, do not believe it;
२३उस समय यदि कोई तुम से कहे, कि देखो, मसीह यहाँ हैं! या वहाँ है! तो विश्वास न करना।
24 for false Christs and false prophets will arise, and will display great signs and marvels, so that, were it possible, even God’s people would be led astray.
२४“क्योंकि झूठे मसीह और झूठे भविष्यद्वक्ता उठ खड़े होंगे, और बड़े चिन्ह और अद्भुत काम दिखाएँगे, कि यदि हो सके तो चुने हुओं को भी बहका दें।
25 Remember, I have told you beforehand.
२५देखो, मैंने पहले से तुम से यह सब कुछ कह दिया है।
26 Therefore, if people say to you “He is in the wilderness!”, do not go out there; or “He is in an inner room!”, do not believe it;
२६इसलिए यदि वे तुम से कहें, ‘देखो, वह जंगल में है’, तो बाहर न निकल जाना; ‘देखो, वह कोठरियों में है’, तो विश्वास न करना।
27 for, just as lightning will start from the east and flash across to the west, so will it be with the coming of the Son of Man.
२७“क्योंकि जैसे बिजली पूर्व से निकलकर पश्चिम तक चमकती जाती है, वैसा ही मनुष्य के पुत्र का भी आना होगा।
28 Wherever a dead body lies, there will the vultures flock.
२८जहाँ लाश हो, वहीं गिद्ध इकट्ठे होंगे।
29 Immediately after the distress of those days, the sun will be darkened, the moon will not give her light, the stars will fall from the heavens, and the forces of the heavens will be convulsed.
२९“उन दिनों के क्लेश के बाद तुरन्त सूर्य अंधियारा हो जाएगा, और चाँद का प्रकाश जाता रहेगा, और तारे आकाश से गिर पड़ेंगे और आकाश की शक्तियाँ हिलाई जाएँगी।
30 Then will appear the sign of the Son of Man in the heavens; and all the peoples of the earth will mourn, when they see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the heavens, with power and great glory;
३०तब मनुष्य के पुत्र का चिन्ह आकाश में दिखाई देगा, और तब पृथ्वी के सब कुलों के लोग छाती पीटेंगे; और मनुष्य के पुत्र को बड़ी सामर्थ्य और ऐश्वर्य के साथ आकाश के बादलों पर आते देखेंगे।
31 and he will send his angels, with a great trumpet, and they will gather his people round him from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
३१और वह तुरही के बड़े शब्द के साथ, अपने स्वर्गदूतों को भेजेगा, और वे आकाश के इस छोर से उस छोर तक, चारों दिशा से उसके चुने हुओं को इकट्ठा करेंगे।
32 ‘Learn the lesson taught by the fig tree. As soon as its branches are full of sap, and it is bursting into leaf, you know that summer is near.
३२“अंजीर के पेड़ से यह दृष्टान्त सीखो जब उसकी डाली कोमल हो जाती और पत्ते निकलने लगते हैं, तो तुम जान लेते हो, कि ग्रीष्मकाल निकट है।
33 And so may you, as soon as you see all these things, know that he is at your doors.
३३इसी रीति से जब तुम इन सब बातों को देखो, तो जान लो, कि वह निकट है, वरन् द्वार पर है।
34 I tell you, even the present generation will not pass away, until all these things have taken place.
३४मैं तुम से सच कहता हूँ, कि जब तक ये सब बातें पूरी न हो लें, तब तक इस पीढ़ी का अन्त नहीं होगा।
35 The heavens and the earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.
३५आकाश और पृथ्वी टल जाएँगे, परन्तु मेरे शब्द कभी न टलेंगे।
36 But about that day and hour, no one knows – not even the angels of heaven, not even the Son – but only the Father himself.
३६“उस दिन और उस घड़ी के विषय में कोई नहीं जानता, न स्वर्ग के दूत, और न पुत्र, परन्तु केवल पिता।
37 For, just as in the days of Noah, so will it be at the coming of the Son of Man.
३७जैसे नूह के दिन थे, वैसा ही मनुष्य के पुत्र का आना भी होगा।
38 In those days before the flood they went on eating and drinking, marrying and being married, up to the very day on which Noah entered the ark,
३८क्योंकि जैसे जल-प्रलय से पहले के दिनों में, जिस दिन तक कि नूह जहाज पर न चढ़ा, उस दिन तक लोग खाते-पीते थे, और उनमें विवाह-शादी होती थी।
39 taking not notice until the flood came and swept them one and all away; and so will it be at the coming of the Son of Man.
३९और जब तक जल-प्रलय आकर उन सब को बहा न ले गया, तब तक उनको कुछ भी मालूम न पड़ा; वैसे ही मनुष्य के पुत्र का आना भी होगा।
40 At that time, of two men on a farm one will be taken and one left;
४०उस समय दो जन खेत में होंगे, एक ले लिया जाएगा और दूसरा छोड़ दिया जाएगा।
41 of two women grinding with a hand-mill one will be taken and one left.
४१दो स्त्रियाँ चक्की पीसती रहेंगी, एक ले ली जाएगी, और दूसरी छोड़ दी जाएगी।
42 Therefore watch; for you cannot be sure on what day your Master is coming.
४२इसलिए जागते रहो, क्योंकि तुम नहीं जानते कि तुम्हारा प्रभु किस दिन आएगा।
43 But this you do know, that, had the owner of the house known at what time of night the thief was coming, they would have been on the watch, and would not have allowed their house to be broken into.
४३परन्तु यह जान लो कि यदि घर का स्वामी जानता होता कि चोर किस पहर आएगा, तो जागता रहता; और अपने घर में चोरी नहीं होने देता।
44 Therefore, you must also prepare, since it is just when you are least expecting him that the Son of Man will come.
४४इसलिए तुम भी तैयार रहो, क्योंकि जिस समय के विषय में तुम सोचते भी नहीं हो, उसी समय मनुष्य का पुत्र आ जाएगा।
45 Who, then is that trustworthy, careful servant, who has been placed by their master over his household, to give them their food at the proper time?
४५“अतः वह विश्वासयोग्य और बुद्धिमान दास कौन है, जिसे स्वामी ने अपने नौकर-चाकरों पर सरदार ठहराया, कि समय पर उन्हें भोजन दे?
46 Happy will that servant be whom their master, when he comes home, will find doing this.
४६धन्य है, वह दास, जिसे उसका स्वामी आकर ऐसा ही करते पाए।
47 I tell you that their master will put them in charge of the whole of his property.
४७मैं तुम से सच कहता हूँ; वह उसे अपनी सारी सम्पत्ति पर अधिकारी ठहराएगा।
48 But, should the servant be a bad servant, and say to themselves “My master is a long time in coming,”
४८परन्तु यदि वह दुष्ट दास सोचने लगे, कि मेरे स्वामी के आने में देर है।
49 and begin to beat their fellow servants, and eat and drink with drunkards,
४९और अपने साथी दासों को पीटने लगे, और पियक्कड़ों के साथ खाए-पीए।
50 that servant’s master will come on a day when they do not expect him, and at an hour of which they are unaware,
५०तो उस दास का स्वामी ऐसे दिन आएगा, जब वह उसकी प्रतीक्षा नहीं कर रहा होगा, और ऐसी घड़ी कि जिसे वह न जानता हो,
51 and will flog the servant severely, and assign them their place among the hypocrites, where there will be weeping and grinding of teeth.
५१और उसे कठोर दण्ड देकर, उसका भाग कपटियों के साथ ठहराएगा: वहाँ रोना और दाँत पीसना होगा।
The World is Destroyed by Water
