Mark 3
1 On another occasion Jesus went in to a synagogue, where there was a man whose hand was withered.
Und er ging wiederum in die Synagoge; und es war daselbst ein Mensch, der eine verdorrte Hand hatte.
2 And they watched Jesus closely, to see if he would cure the man on the Sabbath, so that they might have a charge to bring against him.
Und sie lauerten auf ihn, ob er ihn am Sabbath heilen würde, auf daß sie ihn anklagen möchten.
3 ‘Stand out in the middle,’ Jesus said to the man with the withered hand;
Und er spricht zu dem Menschen, der die verdorrte Hand hatte: Stehe auf und tritt in die Mitte.
4 and to the people he said, ‘Is it allowable to do good at the Sabbath – or harm? To save a life, or destroy it?’
Und er spricht zu ihnen: Ist es erlaubt, an den Sabbathen Gutes zu tun oder Böses zu tun, das Leben zu retten oder zu töten? Sie aber schwiegen.
5 As they remained silent, Jesus looked round at them in anger, grieving at the hardness of their hearts, and said to the man, ‘Stretch out your hand.’ The man stretched it out; and his hand had become sound.
Und er blickte auf sie umher mit Zorn, betrübt über die Verstockung ihres Herzens, und spricht zu dem Menschen: Strecke deine Hand aus! Und er streckte sie aus, und seine Hand wurde wiederhergestellt.
6 Immediately on leaving the synagogue, the Pharisees and the Herodians united in laying a plot against Jesus, to put him to death.
Und die Pharisäer gingen alsbald hinaus und hielten mit den Herodianern Rat wider ihn, wie sie ihn umbrächten.
7 Then Jesus went away with his disciples to the sea, followed by a great number of people from Galilee.
Und Jesus entwich mit seinen Jüngern an den See; und es folgte [ihm] eine große Menge von Galiläa und von Judäa
8 A great number, hearing of all that he was doing, came to him from Judea, from Jerusalem, from Edom, from beyond the Jordan, and from the country round Tyre and Sidon.
und von Jerusalem und von Idumäa und von jenseit des Jordan; und die um Tyrus und Sidon, eine große Menge, als sie gehört hatten, wie vieles er tat, kamen zu ihm.
9 So Jesus told his disciples to keep a small boat close by, so that the crowd would not crush him.
Und er sagte seinen Jüngern, daß ein Schifflein für ihn in Bereitschaft bleiben solle wegen der Volksmenge, auf daß sie ihn nicht drängten.
10 For he had cured many of them, and so people kept crowding around him, so all who were sick might touch him.
Denn er heilte viele, so daß alle, welche Plagen hatten, ihn überfielen, auf daß sie ihn anrühren möchten.
11 The foul spirits, too, whenever they caught sight of him, flung themselves down before him, and screamed out, ‘You are the Son of God’!
Und wenn die unreinen Geister ihn sahen, fielen sie vor ihm nieder und riefen und sprachen: Du bist der Sohn Gottes.
12 But he repeatedly warned them not to make him known.
Und er bedrohte sie sehr, daß sie ihn nicht offenbar machten.
13 Jesus made his way up the hill, and called those whom he wished; and they went to him.
Und er steigt auf den Berg und ruft herzu, welche er selbst wollte. Und sie kamen zu ihm;
14 He appointed twelve – whom he also named “apostles” – so that they might be with him, and that he might send them out as his messengers, to preach,
und er bestellte zwölf, auf daß sie bei ihm seien, und auf daß er sie aussende zu predigen
15 and with power to drive out demons.
und Gewalt zu haben, [die Krankheiten zu heilen und] die Dämonen auszutreiben.
16 So he appointed the Twelve – Peter (which was the name that Jesus gave to Simon),
Und er gab dem Simon den Beinamen Petrus;
17 James, the son of Zebedee, and his brother John (to whom he gave the name of Boanerges, which means the Thunderers),
und Jakobus, den Sohn des Zebedäus, und Johannes, den Bruder des Jakobus, und er gab ihnen den Beinamen Boanerges, das ist Söhne des Donners;
18 Andrew, Philip, Bartholomew, Matthew, Thomas, James the son of Alphaeus, Thaddaeus, Simon the Zealot,
und Andreas und Philippus und Bartholomäus und Matthäus und Thomas und Jakobus, den Sohn des Alphäus, und Thaddäus, und Simon, den Kananäer,
19 and Judas Iscariot, the man who betrayed him.
und Judas Iskariot, der ihn auch überlieferte.
20 Jesus went into a house; and again a crowd collected, so that they were not even able to eat their food.
Und die kommen in ein Haus. Und wiederum kommt eine Volksmenge zusammen, so daß sie nicht einmal essen konnten.
21 When his relatives heard of it, they went to take charge of him, for they said that he was out of his mind.
Und als seine Angehörigen es hörten, gingen sie hinaus, um ihn zu greifen; denn sie sprachen: Er ist außer sich.
22 The teachers of the Law, who had come down from Jerusalem, said, ‘He has Beelzebul in him! He drives the demons out by the help of their chief.’
Und die Schriftgelehrten, die von Jerusalem herabgekommen waren, sprachen: Er hat den Beelzebub, und: Durch den Obersten der Dämonen treibt er die Dämonen aus.
23 So Jesus called them to him, and answered them in parables, ‘How can Satan drive out Satan?
Und er rief sie herzu und sprach in Gleichnissen zu ihnen: Wie kann Satan den Satan austreiben?
24 When a kingdom is divided against itself, it cannot last;
Und wenn ein Reich wider sich selbst entzweit ist, so kann jenes Reich nicht bestehen.
25 and when a household is divided against itself, it will not be able to last.
Und wenn ein Haus wider sich selbst entzweit ist, so kann jenes Haus nicht bestehen.
26 So, if Satan is in revolt against himself and is divided, he cannot last – his end has come!
Und wenn der Satan wider sich selbst aufsteht und entzweit ist, so kann er nicht bestehen, sondern hat ein Ende.
27 ‘No man who has broken into a strong man’s house can carry off his goods, without first tying him up; and not until then will he plunder his house.
Niemand aber kann in das Haus des Starken eindringen und seinen Hausrat rauben, wenn er nicht zuvor den Starken bindet, und alsdann wird er sein Haus berauben.
28 I tell you that people will be forgiven everything – their sins, and all the slanders that they utter;
Wahrlich, ich sage euch: Alle Sünden werden den Söhnen der Menschen vergeben werden, und die Lästerungen, mit welchen irgend sie lästern mögen;
30 This was said in reply to the charge that he had a foul spirit in him.
weil sie sagten: Er hat einen unreinen Geist.
31 His mother and his brothers came, and stood outside, and sent to ask him to come to them.
Und es kommen seine Mutter und seine Brüder; und draußen stehend sandten sie zu ihm und riefen ihn.
32 There was a crowd sitting round Jesus, and some of them said to him, ‘Look, your mother and your brothers are outside, asking for you.’
Und eine Volksmenge saß um ihn her; sie sagten aber zu ihm: Siehe, deine Mutter und deine Brüder draußen suchen dich.
33 ‘Who is my mother? And my brothers?’ was his reply.
Und er antwortete ihnen und sprach: Wer ist meine Mutter oder meine Brüder?
34 Then he looked around on the people sitting in a circle round him, and said, ‘Here are my mother and my brothers!
Und im Kreise umherblickend auf die um ihn her Sitzenden, spricht er: Siehe da, meine Mutter und meine Brüder;
35 Whoever does the will of God is my brother and sister and mother.’
denn wer irgend den Willen Gottes tun wird, derselbe ist mein Bruder und meine Schwester und meine Mutter.
