< Malachi 4 >

1 ‘The day is coming that will burn like a furnace, and all the proud and all evildoers will be stubble, and the day that is coming will burn them up,’ says the Lord of hosts, ‘leaving neither root nor branch.
“Dájúdájú, ọjọ́ náà ń bọ̀; tí yóò máa jó bi iná ìléru. Gbogbo àwọn agbéraga, àti gbogbo àwọn olùṣe búburú yóò dàbí àgékù koríko: ọjọ́ náà tí ń bọ̀ yóò si jó wọn run,” ni Olúwa àwọn ọmọ-ogun wí, “Ti ki yóò fi kù gbòǹgbò kan tàbí ẹ̀ka kan fún wọn.
2 But to you who revere my name there will arise the sun of righteousness with healing in its wings, and you will run free like calves let out from their stall.
Ṣùgbọ́n fún ẹ̀yin tí ó bẹ̀rù orúkọ mi, oòrùn òdodo yóò yọ, pẹ̀lú ìmúláradá ni ìyẹ́ apá rẹ̀. Ẹ̀yin yóò sì jáde lọ, ẹ̀yin yóò sì máa fò fún ayọ̀ bi àwọn ẹgbọrọ màlúù tí a tú sílẹ̀ lórí ìso.
3 In the day when I act you will tread down the wicked, they will be as ashes under the soles of your feet,’ says the Lord of hosts.
Ẹ̀yin yóò sì tẹ àwọn ènìyàn búburú mọ́lẹ̀: nítorí wọn yóò di eérú lábẹ́ àtẹ́lẹsẹ̀ yín, ní ọjọ́ náà tí èmi yóò ṣe nǹkan wọ̀nyí,” ni Olúwa àwọn ọmọ-ogun wí.
4 ‘Remember the law of Moses my servant, statutes and judgments which I gave him at Horeb for all Israel.
“Ẹ rántí òfin Mose ìránṣẹ́ mi, àwọn ìlànà àti òfin èyí tí mo fún un ní Horebu fún gbogbo Israẹli.”
5 I am about to send to you Elijah the prophet, before the great and terrible day of the Lord comes.
“Wò ó, èmi yóò rán wòlíì Elijah sí i yín, ki ọjọ́ ńlá, ọjọ́ ẹ̀rù Olúwa to dé.
6 He will turn fathers’ hearts to their sons and sons’ hearts to their fathers, so that I will not come and strike the earth with judgement.’
Òun yóò sì pa ọkàn àwọn baba dà sí ti àwọn ọmọ, àti ọkàn àwọn ọmọ sì ti àwọn baba wọn, bí bẹ́ẹ̀ kọ́, èmi yóò wá, èmi yóò sì fi ilẹ̀ náà gégùn.”
