+ Hosea 1 >

1 The Lord’s message to Hosea son of Beeri during the reigns of Kings Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah of Judah and during the reign of King Jeroboam, son of Joash of Israel.
Ọ̀rọ̀ Olúwa tí ó tọ Hosea ọmọ Beeri wá ní àkókò ìjọba Ussiah, Jotamu, Ahasi àti Hesekiah; àwọn ọba Juda àti ní àkókò ọba Jeroboamu ọmọ Jehoaṣi ní Israẹli.
2 When the Lord began to speak through Hosea, he said to him: ‘Go marry an unfaithful woman who will bear you children by her adultery, for like an adulterous wife the land is unfaithful to the Lord.’
Nígbà tí Olúwa bẹ̀rẹ̀ sí ní sọ̀rọ̀ láti ẹnu Hosea, Olúwa wí fún un pé, “Lọ, fẹ́ àgbèrè obìnrin kan fún ara rẹ, kí ó sì bí ọmọ àgbèrè fún ọ nípasẹ̀ àwọn ọkùnrin mìíràn, nítorí ilẹ̀ ti ṣẹ ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ àgbèrè púpọ̀ nípa yíyapa kúrò lọ́dọ̀ Olúwa.”
3 So he married Gomer, the daughter of Dibliam, and when she conceived and bore him a son,
Nígbà náà ni ó sì lọ, ó sì fẹ́ Gomeri ọmọbìnrin Diblaimu, ọmọbìnrin náà sì lóyún, ó sì bí ọmọkùnrin kan fún un.
4 the Lord said: ‘Call him “Jezreel,” for in a little while I will punish the dynasty of Jehu for the blood shed at the valley of Jezreel, I will cause the kingdom of Israel to cease.
Nígbà náà ni Olúwa sọ fún Hosea pé, “Pe orúkọ ọmọ náà ní Jesreeli, nítorí pé láìpẹ́ ni èmi yóò jẹ ìdílé Jehu ní ìyà fún ẹ̀jẹ̀ àwọn ènìyàn tó pa ní ìpakúpa ní Jesreeli, Èmi yóò sì mú ìjọba Israẹli wá sí òpin.
5 On that day, I will break Israel’s bows and arrows in the valley of Jezreel.’
Ní ọjọ́ náà ni Èmi yóò ṣẹ́ ọrun Israẹli ní àfonífojì Jesreeli.”
6 When she conceived again and bore a daughter, the Lord said to Hosea: ‘Call her Lo-Ruhamah – “No-Compassion” for I will no longer have compassion on Israel, certainly not spare them.
Gomeri sì tún lóyún, ó sì bí ọmọbìnrin kan. Olúwa sọ fún un pé, “Pe orúkọ rẹ̀ ní Lo-ruhama, nítorí pé, Èmi kò ní ṣàánú fún ilé Israẹli mọ́, Èmi kò sì ní dáríjì wọ́n.
7 But on Judah I will have compassion, I will deliver them by the Lord their God, but I will not deliver them by bow nor by sword, nor by battle nor by horses nor by horsemen.’
Síbẹ̀, èmi yóò ṣàánú fún ilé Juda, èmi ó gbà wọ́n—kì í ṣe nípa ọfà, idà tàbí ogun, ẹṣin tàbí kẹ̀kẹ́ ẹlẹ́ṣin bí kò ṣe nípa Olúwa Ọlọ́run wọn.”
8 After she had weaned No-Compassion, and when she conceived and bore a son, he said:
Lẹ́yìn ìgbà tí ó gba ọmú lẹ́nu Lo-ruhama, ó sì lóyún ó sì bí ọmọkùnrin mìíràn. Nígbà náà ni
9 ‘Call him Lo-Ammi – “Not-My-People” for you, Israel, are not my people, and I indeed am not your God.’
Olúwa sì sọ fún un pé, “Pe orúkọ rẹ̀ ní Lo-Ammi, nítorí pé ẹ kì í ṣe ènìyàn mi, èmi náà kì í sì í ṣe Ọlọ́run yín.
10 Yet the number of the Israelites will be as the sand of the sea, which cannot be measured or counted, and where they were told, ‘You are not my people,’ they will be called, ‘children of the living God.’
“Ṣùgbọ́n àwọn ọmọ Israẹli yóò pọ̀ bí i iyanrìn etí Òkun tí a kò le wọ́n, tí a kò sì le è kà, yóò sì ṣe. Ní ibi tí wọ́n ti sọ fún wọn pé. ‘Ẹ̀yin kì í ṣe ènìyàn mi,’ níbẹ̀ ni a ó ti máa pè wọ́n ní ‘Ọmọ Ọlọ́run alààyè.’
11 The Judeans and the Israelites will join together again, will appoint for themselves one leader, will return to their own land. Great will be the day of Jezreel!
Àwọn ènìyàn Juda àti àwọn ènìyàn Israẹli yóò parapọ̀, wọn yóò sì yan olórí kan tí yóò jáde láti ilẹ̀ náà, nítorí pé ọjọ́ ńlá ni ọjọ́ Jesreeli yóò jẹ́.
