Galatians 1
1 To the churches in Galatia, from Paul, an apostle whose commission is not from any human authority and is given, not by human beings, but by Jesus Christ and God the Father who raised him from the dead;
பவுலாகிய நான் ஒரு மனிதனிடத்தில் இருந்தோ, அல்லது மனிதர்கள் மூலமாகவோ அல்ல, இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவின் மூலமாகவும், அவரை மரணத்திலிருந்து உயிருடன் எழுப்பிய பிதாவாகிய இறைவனின் மூலமாகவும் அனுப்பப்பட்டிருக்கிறேன். அப்படி அப்போஸ்தலனாக ஏற்படுத்தப்பட்ட பவுலாகிய நானும்,
2 and from all the followers of the Lord here.
என்னுடன் இருக்கும் எல்லா சகோதரர்களும், கலாத்தியா நாட்டிலுள்ள திருச்சபைகளுக்கு எழுதுகிறதாவது:
3 May God, our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ, bless you and give you peace.
நம்முடைய பிதாவாகிய இறைவனாலும் கர்த்தராகிய இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவினாலும் உங்களுக்குக் கிருபையும் சமாதானமும் உண்டாவதாக.
4 For Christ, to rescue us from this present wicked age, gave himself for our sins, in accordance with the will of our God and Father, (aiōn g165)
இந்த இயேசுவே நம்முடைய பிதாவாகிய இறைவனுடைய திட்டத்தின்படி, இப்போது இருக்கிற இந்தத் தீமையான உலகிலிருந்து நம்மைத் தப்புவிப்பதற்கென, நம்முடைய பாவங்களுக்காகத் தம்மையே ஒப்புக்கொடுத்தவர். (aiōn g165)
இதற்காக பிதாவாகிய இறைவனுக்கே என்றென்றைக்கும் மகிமை உண்டாவதாக. ஆமென். (aiōn g165)
6 I am astonished at your so soon deserting him, who called you through the love of Christ, for a different “good news,”
நீங்கள் இவ்வளவு சீக்கிரமாய் கிறிஸ்துவினுடைய கிருபையினாலே உங்களை அழைத்தவரைக் கைவிட்டு, வேறு ஒரு நற்செய்தியின் பக்கமாகத் திரும்புகிறீர்களே. இதைக்குறித்து நான் வியப்படைகிறேன்.
7 which is really no good news at all. But then, I know that there are people who are harassing you, and who want to pervert the good news of the Christ.
உண்மையிலேயே அது எவ்விதத்திலும் நற்செய்தி அல்ல. சிலர் உங்களைக் குழப்பமடையச்செய்து, கிறிஸ்துவினுடைய நற்செய்தியை மாற்ற முயற்சிக்கிறார்கள்.
8 Yet even if we – or if an angel from heaven were to tell you any other “good news” than that which we told you, may he be accursed!
நாங்கள் உங்களுக்குப் பிரசங்கித்த நற்செய்தியைவிட, வேறு ஒரு நற்செய்தியை வானத்திலிருந்து வந்த ஒரு தூதனோ, நாங்களோ அறிவித்தாலும், அவன் நித்தியமாகவே குற்றவாளியாகத் தீர்க்கப்பட வேண்டும்.
9 We have said it before, and I repeat it now – If anyone tells you a “good news” other than that which you received, may he be accursed!
நாங்கள் ஏற்கெனவே இதைச் சொல்லியிருக்கிறது போலவே, இப்பொழுதும் நான் மீண்டும் சொல்லுகிறேன்: நீங்கள் ஏற்றுக்கொண்ட நற்செய்தியைவிட, வேறொரு நற்செய்தியை யாராவது உங்களுக்கு அறிவித்தால், அவன்மேல் இறைவனுடைய சாபம் சுமரட்டும்.
10 Is this, I ask, trying to conciliate people, or God? Am I seeking to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I should not be a servant of Christ.
நான் இப்பொழுது மனிதருடைய அங்கீகாரத்தையோ அல்லது இறைவனுடைய அங்கீகாரத்தையோ பெற முயல்கிறேனா? அல்லது மனிதரைப் பிரியப்படுத்த முயல்கிறேனா? நான் மனிதரைப் பிரியப்படுத்த முயல்கிறவனாய் இருந்தால், நான் கிறிஸ்துவினுடைய ஊழியனாய் இருக்கமுடியாதே.
11 I remind you, friends, that the good news which I told is no mere human invention.
பிரியமானவர்களே, நான் உங்களுக்கு அறிவித்த நற்செய்தி, மனிதர்களால் ஏற்படுத்தப்பட்டது அல்ல என்பதை நீங்கள் அறியவேண்டும் என்று நான் விரும்புகிறேன்.
12 I, at least, did not receive it from any human being, nor was I taught it, but it came to me through a revelation made by Jesus Christ.
நான் அதை ஒரு மனிதனிடமிருந்து பெற்றதும் இல்லை, எந்த ஒரு மனிதனும் அதை எனக்குக் போதிக்கவும் இல்லை. இயேசுகிறிஸ்து எனக்குக் கொடுத்த வெளிப்பாட்டின் மூலமாகவே நான் அதைப் பெற்றுக்கொண்டேன்.
13 You heard, no doubt, of my conduct when I was devoted to Judaism – how I persecuted the church of God to an extent beyond belief, and tried to destroy it,
முன்பு யூதமதத்தில் இருந்தபோது, நான் வாழ்ந்த முறையைக் குறித்து நீங்கள் கேள்விப்பட்டிருக்கிறீர்கள். நான் எவ்வளவு கொடுமையாய் இறைவனுடைய திருச்சபையைத் துன்புறுத்தி, அதை அழிக்க முயன்றேன் என்பதும் உங்களுக்குத் தெரியும்.
14 and how, in my devotion to Judaism, I surpassed many of my contemporaries among my own people in my intense earnestness in upholding the traditions of my ancestors.
அப்போது என்னுடைய சமகாலத்து யூதர்களைவிட, நானே யூத மதக் கோட்பாடுகளில் முன்னேறியவனாய் இருந்தேன். நம்முடைய தந்தையர்களின் பாரம்பரியங்களைக் கைக்கொள்வதில் தீவிர ஆர்வம் உடையவனாய் இருந்தேன்.
15 But when God, who had set me apart even before my birth, and who called me by his love,
ஆனால் நான் தாயின் கருப்பையில் இருக்கும்போதே என்னை வேறுபிரித்த இறைவன், தம்முடைய கிருபையினால் என்னை அழைத்து,
16 saw fit to reveal his Son in me, so that I might tell the good news of him among the Gentiles, then at once, instead of consulting any human being,
கிறிஸ்துவை என்னில் வெளிப்படுத்த பிரியங்கொண்டார். தம்முடைய மகனின் நற்செய்தியை யூதரல்லாத மக்களுக்கு நான் அறிவிப்பதற்காக இறைவனே இப்படிச் செய்தார், அப்பொழுது அது குறித்து நான் எந்த மனிதனிடமும் ஆலோசனை கேட்கவுமில்லை,
17 or even going up to Jerusalem to see those who were apostles before me, I went to Arabia, and came back again to Damascus.
எனக்கு முன்னமே அப்போஸ்தலர்களாய் இருந்தவர்களைச் சந்திக்கும்படி, நான் எருசலேமுக்குப் போனதுமில்லை. நானோ உடனே அரேபிய வனாந்திரத்திற்குப்போய், பின்பு தமஸ்கு பட்டணத்துக்குத் திரும்பிவந்தேன்.
18 Three years afterwards I went up to Jerusalem to make the acquaintance of Peter, and I stayed a fortnight with him.
மூன்று வருடங்களுக்குப் பின்புதான், நான் பேதுருவுடன் அறிமுகமாகும்படி, எருசலேமுக்குப் போய், அவனுடன் பதினைந்து நாட்கள் தங்கினேன்.
19 I did not, however, see any other apostle, except James, the Master’s brother.
மற்ற அப்போஸ்தலரில் ஒருவரையும் நான் சந்திக்கவில்லை. கர்த்தருடைய சகோதரனாகிய யாக்கோபை மாத்திரமே சந்தித்தேன்.
20 (As to what I am now writing to you, I call God to witness that I am speaking the truth).
நான் உங்களுக்கு இப்பொழுது எழுதுகிறது பொய்யல்ல என்பதை இறைவனுக்கு முன்பாக நான் நிச்சயமாய் உங்களுக்குக் கூறுகிறேன்.
21 Afterwards I went to the districts of Syria and Cilicia.
பின்பு நான் சீரியாவுக்கும், சிலிசியாவுக்கும் போனேன்.
22 But I was still unknown even by sight to the Christian churches in Judea;
அப்பொழுது கிறிஸ்துவில் உள்ள யூதேயாநாட்டுத் திருச்சபைகளுக்கு நான் அறிமுகமற்றவனாகவே இருந்தேன்.
23 all that they had heard was – “The man who once persecuted us is now telling the good news of the faith of which he once tried to destroy.”
“முன்பு நம்மைத் துன்புறுத்தியவன், தான் அழிக்க முயன்ற விசுவாசத்தையே இப்பொழுது பிரசங்கிக்கிறான்” என்று சொல்லப்படுவதை மாத்திரம் அவர்கள் கேள்விப்பட்டிருந்தார்கள்.
24 And they praised God for my sake.
அவர்கள் எனக்காக இறைவனைத் துதித்தார்கள்.
