Psalms 147
1 Halleluyah ·praise Yah·, for it is good to sing tehilahot ·praise songs· to our God; for it is pleasant and fitting to make zahmar ·musical praise· unto him.
Chwalcie PANA, bo dobrze [jest] śpiewać naszemu Bogu; jest [to] bowiem miłe i piękna jest chwała.
2 Adonai builds up Jerusalem [City of peace]. He gathers together the outcasts of Israel [God prevails].
PAN buduje Jeruzalem [i] gromadzi rozproszonych Izraela.
3 He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds.
On uzdrawia skruszonych w sercu i opatruje ich rany.
4 He counts the number of the stars. He calls them all by their names.
On liczy gwiazdy, nazywa każdą z nich po imieniu.
5 Great is our Lord, and mighty in power. His understanding is infinite.
Wielki [jest] nasz Pan i zasobny w moc; jego mądrość jest niezmierzona.
6 Adonai upholds the humble. He brings the wicked down to the ground.
PAN podnosi pokornych, [a] niegodziwych poniża aż do ziemi.
7 Sing to Adonai with thanksgiving. Sing zahmar ·musical praise· on the harp to our God,
Śpiewajcie PANU z dziękczynieniem; śpiewajcie naszemu Bogu przy dźwiękach harfy;
8 who covers the sky with clouds, who prepares rain for the earth, who makes grass grow on the mountains.
Który okrywa niebiosa obłokami [i] przygotowuje deszcz dla ziemi; który sprawia, że trawa rośnie na górach;
9 He provides food for the livestock, and for the young ravens when they call.
Który daje pokarm bydłu i młodym krukom wołającym [do niego].
10 He does not delight in the strength of the horse. He takes no pleasure in the legs of a man.
Nie lubuje się w mocy konia ani nie ma upodobania w goleniach mężczyzny.
11 Adonai takes pleasure in those who fear him, in those who hope in his cheshed ·loving-kindness·.
PAN ma upodobanie w tych, którzy się go boją, którzy ufają jego miłosierdziu.
12 Praise Adonai, Jerusalem [City of peace]! Praise your God, Zion [Mountain ridge, Marking]!
Chwal PANA, Jeruzalem; chwal swego Boga, Syjonie.
13 For he has strengthened the bars of your gates. He has blessed your children within you.
On bowiem umacnia zasuwy twoich bram i błogosławi synów twoich pośród ciebie.
14 He makes peace in your borders. He fills you with the finest of the wheat.
Zapewnia pokój w twoich granicach i syci cię najwyborniejszą pszenicą.
15 He sends his word out over the earth. His word runs very swiftly.
On wysyła swój rozkaz na ziemię; szybko biegnie jego słowo.
16 He gives snow like wool, and scatters frost like ashes.
On daje śnieg jak wełnę, rozsypuje szron jak popiół.
17 He hurls down his hail like pebbles. Who can stand before his cold?
Rzuca swój lód jak okruchy; któż ostoi się przed jego zimnem?
18 He sends out his word, and melts them. He causes his wind to blow, and the waters flow.
Posyła swoje słowo i [lody] topnieją; wionie swym wiatrem i wody spływają.
19 He shows his word to Jacob [Supplanter]; his statutes and his judgments to Israel [God prevails].
Oznajmia swe słowo Jakubowi, swe prawa i sądy Izraelowi.
20 He has not done this for just any nation. They don’t know his judgments. Halleluyah ·praise Yah·!
Nie uczynił tak żadnemu narodowi, nie poznali jego sądów. Alleluja.
