< Luke 5 >

1 Now while the multitude pressed on him and heard ha D'var Elohim · the Word of God·, he was standing by the lake of Gennesaret.
Kwasekusithi ixuku selimminyezele ukuzwa ilizwi likaNkulunkulu, yena wasesima eceleni kwechibi leGenesaretha;
2 He saw two boats standing by the lake, but the fishermen had gone out of them, and were washing their nets.
wabona imikhumbi emibili imi eceleni kwechibi; kodwa abagoli benhlanzi babephumile kiyo behlambulula amambule.
3 He entered into one of the boats, which was Simeon [Hearing]’s, and asked him to put out a little from the land. He sat down and taught the multitudes from the boat.
Wasengena komunye wemikhumbi, ongokaSimoni, wamcela ukuthi asuke kancinyane emhlabathini. Wasehlala phansi wafundisa amaxuku esemkhunjini.
4 When he had finished speaking, he said to Simeon [Hearing], “Put out into the deep, and let down your nets for a catch.”
Kwathi eseqedile ukukhuluma, wathi kuSimoni: Ngena enzikini, lehlise amambule enu ukuze libambe.
5 Simeon [Hearing] answered him, “Master, we worked all night, and took nothing; but at your word I will let down the net.”
USimoni wasephendula wathi kuye: Nkosi, sitshikatshike ubusuku bonke, kasibambanga lutho; kodwa ngokutsho kwakho ngizakwehlisa imbule.
6 When they had done this, they caught a great multitude of fish, and their net was breaking.
Kwathi sebekwenzile lokho, babamba inhlanzi ezinengi kakhulu. Laselidabuka imbule labo.
7 They beckoned to their partners in the other boat, that they should come and help them. They came, and filled both boats, so that they began to sink.
Basebeqhweba ababehlanganyele labo ababekomunye umkhumbi, ukuthi beze babasize; beza-ke bayigcwalisa imikhumbi yomibili, yaze yaqalisa ukutshona.
8 But Simeon Peter [Hearing Rock], when he saw it, fell down at Yeshua [Salvation]'s knees, saying, “Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, Lord.”
Kuthe uSimoni Petro ebona, wawela emadolweni kaJesu, esithi: Suka kimi, Nkosi, ngoba ngingumuntu oyisoni.
9 For he was amazed, and all who were with him, at the catch of fish which they had caught;
Ngoba ukumangala kwakumbambile, labo bonke ababelaye, ngokubanjwa kwenhlanzi ababezibambile;
10 and so also were James [Surplanter] and John [Yah is gracious], sons of Zebedee [Bestowed by Yah], who were partners with Simeon [Hearing]. Yeshua [Salvation] said to Simeon [Hearing], “Don’t be afraid. From now on you will be catching people alive.”
ngokufananayo-ke loJakobe loJohane, amadodana kaZebediya, ababehlanganyele loSimoni. UJesu wasesithi kuSimoni: Ungesabi; kusukela khathesi uzagola abantu.
11 When they had brought their boats to land, they left everything, and followed him.
Kwathi sebeyifikisile imikhumbi emhlabathini, batshiya konke, bamlandela.
12 While he was in one of the cities, behold, there was a man full of tzara'at ·leprosy·. When he saw Yeshua [Salvation], he fell on his face, and begged him, saying, “Lord, if you want to, you can make me clean.”
Kwasekusithi, esekomunye wemizi, khangela-ke, indoda egcwele ubulephero; yathi ibona uJesu, yawa ngobuso, yamncenga, isithi: Nkosi, aluba uthanda, ungangihlambulula.
13 He stretched out his hand, and touched him, saying, “I want to. Be made clean.” Immediately the tzara'at ·leprosy· left him.
Waseselula isandla, wayithinta, esithi: Ngiyathanda, hlambuluka. Njalo bahle basuka ubulephero kuyo.
14 He commanded him to tell no one. “Instead, as a testimony to the people, go straight to the priest and make an offer for your cleansing, as Moses [Drawn out] commanded.”
Yena waseyilaya ukuthi ingatsheli muntu; wathi: Kodwa hamba uziveze kumpristi, unikelele ukuhlanjululwa kwakho, njengoba uMozisi walaya, kube yibufakazi kubo.
15 But the report concerning him spread much more, and great multitudes came together to hear, and to be healed by him of their infirmities.
Kodwa kwayilapho ukukhuluma ngaye kwanda kakhulu; lamaxuku amanengi abuthana ukulalela, lokusiliswa nguye ezifweni zawo.
16 But he withdrew himself into the desert, and prayed.
Kodwa yena waphumela enkangala wakhuleka.
17 On one of those days, he was teaching; and there were Pharisees [Separated] and Torah-Teachers sitting by, who had come out of every village of Galilee [District, Circuit], Judea [Praise], and Jerusalem [City of peace]. The power of MarYah [Master Yahweh] was with him to heal them.
Kwasekusithi ngolunye lwezinsuku, yena wayefundisa; njalo kwakuhlezi abaFarisi labafundisi bomlayo, abavela kuyo yonke imizana yeGalili leJudiya leJerusalema; lamandla eNkosi ayekhona ukubasilisa.
18 Behold, men brought a paralyzed man on a cot, and they sought to bring him in to lay before Yeshua [Salvation].
Njalo khangela, amadoda ethwele ngohlaka umuntu owayome umhlubulo; njalo adinga ukumngenisa ambeke phambi kwakhe;
19 Not finding a way to bring him in because of the multitude, they went up to the housetop, and let him down through the tiles with his cot into the middle before Yeshua [Salvation].
kodwa engatholi indlela yokumngenisa ngenxa yexuku, akhwela ephahleni lwendlu, amehlisa ezitineni zokufulela ngethala phambi kukaJesu phakathi laphakathi.
20 Seeing their trusting faith, he said to him, “Man, your sins are forgiven you.”
Kwathi ebona ukholo lwawo, wathi kuye: Ndoda, izono zakho uzithethelelwe.
21 The Torah-Teachers and the Pharisees [Separated] began to reason, saying, “Who is this that speaks blasphemies? Who can forgive sins, but God alone?”
Ababhali labaFarisi basebeqala ukunakana, besithi: Ungubani lo okhuluma inhlamba? Ngubani ongathethelela izono, ngaphandle kukaNkulunkulu yedwa?
22 But Yeshua [Salvation], perceiving their thoughts, answered them, “Why are you reasoning so in your hearts?
Kwathi uJesu esazi ukunakana kwabo waphendula wathi kubo: Linakanani enhliziyweni zenu?
23 Which is easier to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven you;’ or to say, ‘Arise and walk?’
Yikuphi okulula, ukuthi: Izono zakho uzithethelelwe; kumbe ukuthi: Sukuma uhambe?
24 But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins” (he said to the paralyzed man), “I tell you, arise, and take up your cot, and go to your house.”
Kodwa ukuze lazi ukuthi iNdodana yomuntu ilamandla okuthethelela izono emhlabeni (wathi koyisigoga): Ngithi kuwe: Sukuma, uthathe ithala lakho, uye endlini yakho.
25 Immediately he rose up before them, and took up that which he was laying on, and departed to his house, glorifying God.
Njalo wahle wasukuma phambi kwabo, wathatha lokhu ayelele kukho, wasuka waya endlini yakhe, edumisa uNkulunkulu.
26 Amazement took hold on all, and they glorified God. They were filled with fear, saying, “We have seen strange things today.”
Lokusanganiseka kwababamba bonke, basebedumisa uNkulunkulu, bagcwala ukwesaba, besithi: Sibone izimanga lamuhla.
27 After these things he went out, and saw a tax collector named Levi [United with] sitting at the tax office, and said to him, “Follow me!”
Njalo emva kwalezizinto waphuma, wabona umthelisi, uLevi ngebizo, ehlezi endlini yokuthelisela, wathi kuye: Ngilandela.
28 He left everything, and rose up and followed him.
Wasetshiya konke, wasukuma wamlandela.
29 Levi [United with] made a great feast for him in his house. There was a great crowd of tax collectors and others who were reclining with them.
ULevi wasemenzela idili elikhulu endlini yakhe; njalo kwakukhona ixuku elikhulu labathelisi lelabanye abahlala kanye labo ekudleni.
30 Their Torah-Teachers and the Pharisees [Separated] murmured against his disciples, saying, “Why do you eat and drink with the tax collectors and sinners?”
Ababhali babo labaFarisi basebesola kubafundi bakhe, besithi: Kungani lisidla linatha labathelisi lezoni?
31 Yeshua [Salvation] answered them, “Those who are healthy have no need for a physician, but those who are sick do.
UJesu wasephendula wathi kubo: Abaphilayo kabasweli melaphi, kodwa abagulayo.
32 I have not come to call the upright, but sinners to teshuvah ·complete repentance·.”
Kangizanga ukubiza abalungileyo, kodwa izoni zize ekuphendukeni.
33 They said to him, “Why do John [Yah is gracious]’s disciples often fast and pray, likewise also the disciples of the Pharisees [Separated], but yours eat and drink?”
Basebesithi kuye: Kungani abafundi bakaJohane bezila ukudla kanengi, benze imikhuleko, kunjalo lababaFarisi; kodwa abakho bayadla banathe?
34 He said to them, “Can you make the friends of the bridegroom fast, while the bridegroom is with them?
Kodwa wathi kubo: Kambe, lingabazilisa ukudla yini abantwana bendlu yomthimba, umyeni eselabo?
35 But the days will come when the bridegroom will be taken away from them. Then they will fast in those days.”
Kodwa zizafika insuku, lapho umyeni ezasuswa kubo, khona bezazila ukudla ngalezonsuku.
36 He also told a parable to them. “No one puts a piece from a new garment on an old garment, or else he will tear the new, and also the piece from the new will not match the old.
Wasebatshela futhi umfanekiso wokuthi: Kakho obekela isichibi sesembatho esitsha esembathweni esidala; uba kungenjalo, esitsha laso siyadabula, lesichibi sesitsha asihambelani lesidala.
37 No one puts new wine into old wine skins, or else the new wine will burst the skins, and it will be spilled, and the skins will be destroyed.
Futhi kakho ofaka iwayini elitsha emigodleni emidala; uba-ke kungenjalo, iwayini elitsha lizadabula imigodla, lichitheke lona, lemigodla yonakale.
38 But new wine must be put into fresh wine skins, and both are preserved.
Kodwa iwayini elitsha limele lifakwe emigodleni emitsha, njalo kokubili kulondolozeke.
39 No man having drunk old wine immediately desires new, for he says, ‘The old is better.’”
Njalo kakho othi esenathe iwayini elidala ahle afise elitsha; ngoba uthi: Elidala lingcono.
