Luke 17
1 He said to the disciples, “It is impossible that no occasions of stumbling should come, but woe to him through whom they come!
Er aber sprach zu seinen Jüngern: "Unmöglich ist es, daß Ärgernisse ausbleiben; wehe aber dem, durch den sie kommen!
2 It would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were thrown into the sea, rather than that he should cause one of these little ones to stumble.
Besser ist es für ihn, wenn ihm ein Mühlstein an den Hals gehängt und er ins Meer geworfen würde, als daß er einem dieser Kleinen Anlaß zur Sünde gäbe.
3 Be careful. If your brother sins against you, rebuke him. If he makes teshuvah ·complete repentance·, forgive him.
Habt aufeinander acht! Verfehlt sich dein Bruder, so stelle ihn zur Rede. Bereut er, vergib ihm!
4 If he sins against you seven times in the day, and seven times returns, saying, ‘I make teshuvah ·complete repentance·,’ you shall forgive him.”
Auch wenn er siebenmal des Tages sich gegen dich verfehlte und siebenmal vor dir erscheinen und vor dir sagen sollte: 'Es tut mir leid.' Vergib ihm."
5 The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our trusting faith.”
Dann sagten die Apostel zum Herrn: "Vermehre unseren Glauben!"
6 The Lord said, “If you had trusting faith like a grain of mustard seed, you would tell this sycamore tree, ‘Be uprooted, and be planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you.
Der Herr jedoch erwiderte: "Wenn ihr nur Glauben hättet so groß wie ein Senfkörnlein, ihr könntet diesem Maulbeerbaum befehlen: 'Entwurzle dich und pflanze dich ins Meer'; er würde euch gehorchen.
7 But who is there among you, having a servant plowing or keeping sheep, that will say, when he comes in from the field, ‘Come immediately and sit down at the table,’
Einer aus euch hat einen Knecht fürs Pflügen oder Hüten. Nun kommt er vom Felde heim; wird er da zu ihm sagen: 'Komm doch gleich her und setze dich zu Tisch'?
8 and will not rather tell him, ‘Prepare my supper, clothe yourself properly, and serve me, while I eat and drink. Afterward you shall eat and drink’?
Wird er nicht vielmehr zu ihm sagen: 'Richte mir die Mahlzeit her, umgürte dich, bediene mich, bis ich gegessen und getrunken habe; und danach kannst auch du essen und trinken?'
9 Does he thank that servant because he did the things that were commanded? I think not.
Weiß er dem Knecht etwa Dank dafür, daß er getan hat, was ihm befohlen war?
10 Even so you also, when you have done all the things that are commanded you, say, ‘We are unworthy servants. We have done our duty.’”
So sollt auch ihr, wenn ihr alles getan habt, was man euch befohlen hat, sagen: 'Wir sind nichtsnutzige Knechte, wir haben nur getan, was wir schuldig waren.'"
11 As he was on his way to Jerusalem [City of peace], he was passing along the borders of Samaria [Watch-mountain] and Galilee [District, Circuit].
Auf seinem Wege nach Jerusalem zog er mitten durch Samaria und Galiläa hin.
12 As he entered into a certain village, ten men who were afflicted with tzara'at ·leprosy· met him, who stood at a distance.
Da kamen ihm beim Eingang in ein Dorf zehn aussätzige Männer entgegen.
13 They lifted up their voices, saying, “Yeshua [Salvation], Master, have mercy on us!”
Sie blieben in der Ferne stehen und riefen laut: "Jesus, Meister, erbarme dich unser!"
14 When he saw them, he said to them, “Go and show yourselves to the priests.” As they went, they were cleansed.
Als er sie sah, sprach er zu ihnen: "Geht hin und zeigt euch den Priestern!" Und auf dem Wege dahin wurden sie gereinigt.
15 One of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, glorifying God with a loud voice.
Ein einziger aus ihnen kehrte um, als er sah, daß er geheilt sei, und lobte Gott mit lauter Stimme.
16 He fell on his face at Yeshua [Salvation]'s feet, giving him thanks; and he was a Samaritan [person from Watch-mountain].
Er fiel ihm zu Füßen auf sein Antlitz und dankte ihm. Und dieser war ein Samariter.
17 Yeshua [Salvation] answered, “Were not the ten cleansed? But where are the nine?
Da fragte Jesus: "Sind nicht alle zehn rein geworden? Wo sind die neun?
18 Were there none found who teshuvah ·completely returned· to give glory to God, except this stranger?”
So fand sich keiner, der umgekehrt wäre, um Gott die Ehre zu geben, als dieser Fremde?"
19 Then he said to him, “Get up, and go your way. Your trusting faith has healed you.”
Alsdann sprach er zu ihm: "Steh auf und geh; dein Glaube hat dich gerettet."
20 Being asked by the Pharisees [Separated] when God’s Kingdom would come, he answered them, “God’s Kingdom does not come with observation;
Da fragten ihn die Pharisäer: "Wann kommt das Reich Gottes?" Er sprach zu ihnen. "Das Reich Gottes kommt nicht so, daß man es berechnen kann;
21 neither will they say, ‘Look, here!’ or, ‘Look, there!’ for behold, God’s Kingdom is within you.”
man kann nicht sagen: Hier ist es oder dort. Nein, seht, das Reich Gottes ist mitten unter euch."
22 He said to the disciples, “The days will come, when you will desire to see one of the days of the Son of Man, and you will not see it.
Dann sagte er zu seinen Jüngern: "Es werden Tage kommen, da ihr euch danach sehnen werdet, einen einzigen Tag des Menschensohnes zu erleben; doch ihr werdet ihn nicht erleben.
23 They will tell you, ‘Look, here!’ or ‘Look, there!’ Don’t go away, nor follow after them,
Man wird euch sagen: 'Siehe, dort ist er! Siehe, hier ist er!' Geht nicht dahin und lauft ihnen nicht nach!
24 for as the lightning, when it flashes out of the one part under the sky, shines to the other part under the sky; so will the Son of Man be in his day.
Denn wie der Blitzstrahl von einem Ende des Himmels bis zum anderen leuchtet, so wird es auch mit dem Menschensohn an seinem Tage sein.
25 But first, he must suffer many things and be rejected by this generation.
Zuvor jedoch muß er vieles leiden und von diesem Geschlechte verworfen werden.
26 As it was in the days of Noah [Rest], even so will it be also in the days of the Son of Man.
Wie es in den Tagen Noes war, so wird es auch in den Tagen des Menschensohnes sein.
27 They ate, they drank, they married, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah [Rest] entered into the ship, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.
Man aß und trank, man nahm und gab zur Ehe bis zu dem Tage, da Noe in die Arche ging. Da kam die Sintflut und vertilgte alle.
28 Likewise, even as it was in the days of Lot [Veil, Covering]: they ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built;
Es wird gehen wie zu Zeiten Lots: Man aß und trank, man kaufte und verkaufte, man pflanzte und baute.
29 but in the day that Lot [Veil, Covering] went out from Sodom [Burning], Yahweh caused it to rain fire and sulfur from the sky, and destroyed them all.
Am Tage aber, da Lot fortging aus Sodoma, regnete es Feuer und Schwefel vom Himmel und vertilgte alle.
30 It will be the same way in the day that the Son of Man is revealed.
Geradeso wird es an dem Tage sein, an dem der Menschensohn sich offenbart.
31 In that day, he who will be on the housetop, and his goods in the house, let him not go down to take them away. Let him who is in the field likewise not turn back.
Wer an jenem Tage auf dem Dach ist und seine Sachen noch im Hause hat, der steige nicht herab, um sie zu holen. Wer auf dem Feld ist, der wende sich nicht rückwärts.
32 Remember Lot [Veil, Covering]’s wife!
Denkt an Lots Weib!
33 Whoever seeks to save his life loses it, but whoever loses his life preserves it.
Wer sein Leben für sich zu gewinnen sucht, wird es verlieren, und wer es verliert, wird es erhalten.
34 I tell you, in that night there will be two people in one bed. The one will be taken, and the other will be left.
Ich sage euch: In jener Nacht werden zwei auf einem Lager sein: Der eine wird mitgenommen, der andere zurückgelassen werden.
35 There will be two grinding grain together. One will be taken, and the other will be left.
Zwei werden miteinander mahlen: Die eine wird mitgenommen, die andere zurückgelassen werden."
36 Two will be in the field: the one taken, and the other left.”
Zwei werden auf dem Felde sein: Der eine wird mitgenommen, der andere zurückgelassen werden.
37 They, answering, asked him, “Where, Lord?” He said to them, “Where the body is, there will the vultures also be gathered together.”
Sie fragten ihn: "Wo, Herr?" Er sprach zu ihnen: "Wo das Aas ist, da sammeln sich die Geier."
