< Luke 17 >

1 He said to the disciples, “It is impossible that no occasions of stumbling should come, but woe to him through whom they come!
Yesu anati kwa ophunzira ake, “Zinthu zimene zimachimwitsa sizingalephere kubwera, koma tsoka kwa munthu wozibweretsayo.
2 It would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were thrown into the sea, rather than that he should cause one of these little ones to stumble.
Kukanakhala bwino kwa iye kuti aponyedwe mʼnyanja atamangiriridwa mwala wamphero mʼkhosi mwake kusiyana kuti achimwitse mmodzi mwa ana aangʼonowa.
3 Be careful. If your brother sins against you, rebuke him. If he makes teshuvah ·complete repentance·, forgive him.
Nʼchifukwa chake dziyangʼanireni nokha. “Ngati mʼbale wanu achimwa, mudzudzuleni, ndipo ngati alapa, mukhululukireni.
4 If he sins against you seven times in the day, and seven times returns, saying, ‘I make teshuvah ·complete repentance·,’ you shall forgive him.”
Ngati iye akulakwira kasanu ndi kawiri pa tsiku, ndipo ngati nʼkubweranso kwa iwe kasanu ndi kawiri nati, ‘Ndalapa,’ umukhululukire.”
5 The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our trusting faith.”
Atumwiwo anati kwa Ambuye, “Kulitsani chikhulupiriro chathu!”
6 The Lord said, “If you had trusting faith like a grain of mustard seed, you would tell this sycamore tree, ‘Be uprooted, and be planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you.
Yesu anayankha kuti, “Ngati muli ndi chikhulupiriro chachingʼono ngati kambewu kampiru, mukhoza kulamula mtengo wamkuyu uwu kuti, ‘Zulidwa ndi kukadzalidwa mʼnyanja,’ ndipo udzakumverani.
7 But who is there among you, having a servant plowing or keeping sheep, that will say, when he comes in from the field, ‘Come immediately and sit down at the table,’
“Tiyerekeze kuti mmodzi mwa inu anali ndi wantchito wolima kapena woweta nkhosa, kodi angawuze wantchitoyo atabwera ku munda kuti, ‘Tsopano bwera kuno khala pansi kuti udye?’
8 and will not rather tell him, ‘Prepare my supper, clothe yourself properly, and serve me, while I eat and drink. Afterward you shall eat and drink’?
Kodi sangamuwuze kuti, ‘Konzere chakudya cha madzulo, iweyo ukonzeke ndipo undidikirire pamene ndikudya ndi kumwa; kenaka ukhoza kudya ndi kumwa?’
9 Does he thank that servant because he did the things that were commanded? I think not.
Kodi iye angathokoze wantchitoyo chifukwa chochita chimene anawuzidwa kuchita?
10 Even so you also, when you have done all the things that are commanded you, say, ‘We are unworthy servants. We have done our duty.’”
Chimodzimodzi inunso, mukachita zonse zimene munawuzidwa, muzinena kuti, ‘Ndife antchito osayenera; tangogwira ntchito yathu basi.’”
11 As he was on his way to Jerusalem [City of peace], he was passing along the borders of Samaria [Watch-mountain] and Galilee [District, Circuit].
Tsopano Yesu anayenda mʼmalire a pakati pa Samariya ndi Galileya pa ulendo wake wa ku Yerusalemu.
12 As he entered into a certain village, ten men who were afflicted with tzara'at ·leprosy· met him, who stood at a distance.
Akulowa mʼmudzi wina, amuna khumi amene anali ndi khate anakumana naye. Iwo anayima patali
13 They lifted up their voices, saying, “Yeshua [Salvation], Master, have mercy on us!”
ndipo anafuwula ndi mawu okweza kuti, “Yesu, Ambuye, tichitireni chifundo!”
14 When he saw them, he said to them, “Go and show yourselves to the priests.” As they went, they were cleansed.
Iye atawaona, anati, “Pitani kadzionetseni nokha kwa ansembe.” Ndipo pamene iwo ankapita, anachiritsidwa.
15 One of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, glorifying God with a loud voice.
Mmodzi wa iwo, ataona kuti wachiritsidwa, anabwerera, nayamika Mulungu ndi mawu okweza.
16 He fell on his face at Yeshua [Salvation]'s feet, giving him thanks; and he was a Samaritan [person from Watch-mountain].
Anagwetsa nkhope yake nagwa pa mapazi a Yesu ndi kumuthokoza. Ndipo iye anali Msamariya.
17 Yeshua [Salvation] answered, “Were not the ten cleansed? But where are the nine?
Yesu anafunsa kuti, “Kodi amene anachiritsidwa sanalipo khumi? Nanga asanu ndi anayi ena ali kuti?
18 Were there none found who teshuvah ·completely returned· to give glory to God, except this stranger?”
Kodi palibe mmodzi mwa iwo amene anabwerera kudzalemekeza Mulungu kupatula mlendoyu?”
19 Then he said to him, “Get up, and go your way. Your trusting faith has healed you.”
Pamenepo anati kwa iye, “Imirira ndipo pita; chikhulupiriro chako chakuchiritsa iwe.”
20 Being asked by the Pharisees [Separated] when God’s Kingdom would come, he answered them, “God’s Kingdom does not come with observation;
Ndipo Afarisi atamufunsa Iye kuti, ufumu wa Mulungu udzabwera liti, Yesu anayankha kuti, “Mulungu sakhazikitsa ufumu wake mooneka ndi maso,
21 neither will they say, ‘Look, here!’ or, ‘Look, there!’ for behold, God’s Kingdom is within you.”
kapenanso kuti anthu adzati, ‘Uwu uli apa,’ kapena ‘Uwo uli apo,’ Pakuti taonani ufumu wa Mulungu uli pakati panu.”
22 He said to the disciples, “The days will come, when you will desire to see one of the days of the Son of Man, and you will not see it.
Kenaka Iye anati kwa ophunzira ake, “Masiku akubwera pamene inu mudzalakalaka mutaona tsiku limodzi la masiku a Mwana wa Munthu, koma simudzaliona.
23 They will tell you, ‘Look, here!’ or ‘Look, there!’ Don’t go away, nor follow after them,
Anthu adzakuwuzani kuti, ‘Uyo ali apoyo!’ kapena ‘Uyu ali apa!’ Musawathamangire iwo.
24 for as the lightning, when it flashes out of the one part under the sky, shines to the other part under the sky; so will the Son of Man be in his day.
Pakuti monga mphenzi ingʼanima ndi kuwala kuchokera mbali ina ya thambo kufikira inzake, koteronso adzakhala ali Mwana wa Munthu pa tsiku lake.
25 But first, he must suffer many things and be rejected by this generation.
Koma poyamba ayenera kuzunzika mu zambiri ndi kukanidwa ndi mʼbado uno.
26 As it was in the days of Noah [Rest], even so will it be also in the days of the Son of Man.
“Monga mmene zinkachitikira nthawi ya Nowa, momwemonso zidzachitikanso nthawi ya Mwana wa Munthu.
27 They ate, they drank, they married, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah [Rest] entered into the ship, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.
Anthu ankadya, kumwa, kukwatira ndi kukwatiwa mpaka tsiku limene Nowa analowa mʼchombo. Pomwepo chigumula chinafika ndi kuwawononga onsewo.
28 Likewise, even as it was in the days of Lot [Veil, Covering]: they ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built;
“Zinalinso chimodzimodzi nthawi ya Loti. Anthu ankadya ndi kumwa, kugula ndi kugulitsa, kudzala ndi kumanga.
29 but in the day that Lot [Veil, Covering] went out from Sodom [Burning], Yahweh caused it to rain fire and sulfur from the sky, and destroyed them all.
Koma tsiku limene Loti anachoka ku Sodomu, moto ndi sulufule zinavumbwa kuchokera kumwamba ndi kuwawononga onsewo.
30 It will be the same way in the day that the Son of Man is revealed.
“Zidzakhalanso choncho Mwana wa Munthu akadzaonekera.
31 In that day, he who will be on the housetop, and his goods in the house, let him not go down to take them away. Let him who is in the field likewise not turn back.
32 Remember Lot [Veil, Covering]’s wife!
Kumbukirani mkazi wa Loti!
33 Whoever seeks to save his life loses it, but whoever loses his life preserves it.
Aliyense amene ayesetsa kusunga moyo wake adzawutaya, ndipo aliyense amene ataya moyo wake adzawusunga.
34 I tell you, in that night there will be two people in one bed. The one will be taken, and the other will be left.
Ine ndikukuwuzani inu, usiku umenewo anthu awiri adzagona pa mphasa imodzi; wina adzatengedwa ndipo wina adzasiyidwa.
35 There will be two grinding grain together. One will be taken, and the other will be left.
Amayi awiri adzakhala pamodzi akusinja; wina adzatengedwa ndi wina adzasiyidwa.
36 Two will be in the field: the one taken, and the other left.”
Amuna awiri adzakhala akulima mʼmunda; wina adzatengedwa ndi wina adzasiyidwa.”
37 They, answering, asked him, “Where, Lord?” He said to them, “Where the body is, there will the vultures also be gathered together.”
Iwo anafunsa kuti, “Ambuye, kodi zimenezi zidzachitikira kuti?” Iye anayankha kuti, “Kumene kuli mtembo, nʼkumene makwangwala amasonkhanako.”
