Psalms 105
1 O give thanks unto the LORD; Call upon his name; Make known his deeds among the people!
Wysławiajcie PANA, wzywajcie jego imienia, opowiadajcie jego dzieła wśród narodów.
2 Sing unto him; sing psalms unto him; Tell ye of all his wondrous works!
Śpiewajcie mu, śpiewajcie mu psalmy, rozmawiajcie o wszystkich jego cudach.
3 Glory ye in his holy name; Let the hearts of them that seek the LORD rejoice!
Chlubcie się jego świętym imieniem, niech się weseli serce szukających PANA.
4 Seek the LORD, and his majesty; Seek his face continually!
Szukajcie PANA i jego mocy, szukajcie zawsze jego oblicza.
5 Remember the wonders he hath wrought, His miracles and the judgments of his mouth,
Przypominajcie sobie dzieła, które czynił; jego cuda i wyroki jego ust.
6 Ye offspring of Abraham his servant, Ye children of Jacob his chosen!
[Wy], potomkowie Abrahama, jego słudzy; [wy], synowie Jakuba, jego wybrańcy!
7 Jehovah, he is our God, His judgments are over all the earth.
On jest PANEM, naszym Bogiem, jego sądy po całej ziemi.
8 He remembereth his covenant for ever, And the promise to a thousand generations;
Pamięta wiecznie o swoim przymierzu; o słowie, które nakazał po tysiąc pokoleń;
9 The covenant which he made with Abraham, And the oath which he gave to Isaac;
[O przymierzu], które zawarł z Abrahamem, i o przysiędze złożonej Izaakowi.
10 Which he confirmed to Jacob for a decree, And to Israel for an everlasting covenant.
Ustanowił je jako prawo dla Jakuba, dla Izraela jako wieczne przymierze;
11 “To thee,” said he, “will I give the land of Canaan For the lot of your inheritance.”
Mówiąc: Tobie dam ziemię Kanaan jako dział waszego dziedzictwa;
12 When they were yet few in number, Very few, and strangers in the land;
Kiedy ich było niewielu, nieliczni i obcy w niej.
13 When they went from nation to nation, From one kingdom to another people,
I wędrowali od narodu do narodu, z [jednego] królestwa do innego ludu;
14 He suffered no man to oppress them; Yea, he rebuked kings for their sakes.
Nikomu nie pozwolił ich krzywdzić, nawet karcił królów z ich powodu, [mówiąc]:
15 “Touch not,” said he, “mine anointed, And do my prophets no harm!”
Nie dotykajcie moich pomazańców, a moim prorokom nie czyńcie [nic] złego.
16 Again, when he commanded a famine in the land, And broke the whole staff of bread,
Potem przywołał głód na ziemię i zniszczył cały zapas chleba.
17 He sent a man before them; Joseph was sold as a slave.
Posłał przed nimi męża, Józefa, który został sprzedany jako niewolnik;
18 His feet they hurt with fetters; He was bound in chains of iron;
Którego nogi ranili pętami, a w żelazo zakuto jego ciało;
19 Until his prediction came to pass, And the word of the LORD proved him.
Aż do [tego] czasu, gdy jego słowo się spełniło, słowo PANA doświadczało go.
20 Then the king sent, and loosed him; The ruler of nations, and set him free;
Posłał król i kazał go uwolnić, władca narodu wypuścił go na wolność.
21 He made him governor of his house, And lord of all his possessions;
Ustanowił go panem swego domu i władcą wszystkich swoich posiadłości;
22 To bind his princes at his pleasure, And teach his counsellors wisdom.
Aby rządził jego dostojnikami według swego uznania i jego starszych nauczał mądrości.
23 Israel also came into Egypt, And Jacob sojourned in the land of Ham;
Potem Izrael wszedł do Egiptu, a Jakub był gościem w ziemi Chama;
24 Where God increased his people greatly, And made them stronger than their enemies.
Gdzie [Bóg] bardzo rozmnożył swój lud i uczynił go potężniejszym od jego wrogów.
25 He turned their hearts to hate his people, And form devices against his servants.
Odmienił ich serca, żeby znienawidzili jego lud i postępowali przebiegle wobec jego sług.
26 Then sent he Moses his servant, And Aaron, whom he had chosen.
Posłał Mojżesza, swego sługę, i Aarona, którego wybrał;
27 They showed his signs among them, And his wonders in the land of Ham.
Pokazali im jego znaki i cuda w ziemi Chama.
28 He sent darkness upon them, and made it dark; And they did not disobey his word.
Zesłał ciemności i nastał mrok, i nie buntowali się przeciw jego słowu.
29 He turned their waters into blood, And caused their fish to die.
Zamienił ich wody w krew i pozabijał ich ryby.
30 Their land brought forth frogs in abundance, Even in the chambers of their kings.
Ich ziemia wydała mnóstwo żab, [były] nawet w komnatach królewskich.
31 He spake, and there came flies, And lice in all their coasts.
Rozkazał i zjawiły się rozmaite muchy i wszy w całym ich kraju.
32 Instead of rain he gave them hail, And flaming fire in their land.
Zesłał grad zamiast deszczu, ogień płonący na ich ziemię.
33 He smote also their vines and fig-trees, And broke the trees of their coasts.
Zniszczył ich winnice i figowce i połamał drzewa w ich kraju.
34 He spake, and the locusts came. Destructive locusts without number,
Rozkazał i zjawiła się szarańcza, niezliczone mnóstwo larw;
35 Which ate up all the herbage in their land, And devoured the fruits of their fields.
I pożarły całą zieleń w ich kraju, i zjadły płody ich ziemi.
36 Then he smote all the first-born in their land, The first-fruits of all their strength.
Zabił też wszystko, co pierworodne w ich ziemi, pierwociny wszelkiej ich siły.
37 He led forth his people with silver and gold; Nor was there one feeble person in all their tribes.
Wyprowadził ich ze srebrem i złotem i nie było słabego wśród ich plemion.
38 Egypt was glad when they departed, For their terror had fallen upon them.
Egipt się radował, gdy wychodzili, bo ogarnął go strach przed nimi.
39 He spread out a cloud for a covering, And fire to give light by night.
Rozpostarł obłok jak osłonę, a ogień, by świecił w nocy.
40 They asked, and he brought quails, And satisfied them with the bread of heaven.
Na [ich] żądanie zesłał przepiórki i nasycił ich chlebem z nieba.
41 He opened the rock, and the waters gushed forth, And ran in the dry places like a river.
Otworzył skałę i trysnęły wody, popłynęły po suchych miejscach [jak] rzeka;
42 For he remembered his holy promise, Which he had made to Abraham his servant;
Pamiętał bowiem o swoim świętym słowie i o Abrahamie, swym słudze.
43 And he led forth his people with joy, And his chosen with gladness.
Wyprowadził swój lud wśród wesela, swoich wybranych wśród radości.
44 He gave to them the lands of the nations, And they inherited the labor of the peoples;
I dał im ziemię pogan, i zawładnęli dorobkiem narodów;
45 That they might observe his statutes, And obey his laws. Praise ye the LORD!
Aby zachowywali jego nakazy i przestrzegali jego praw. Alleluja.
