< Luke 8 >

1 And it came to pass afterward, that he journeyed through cities and villages, preaching and publishing the glad tidings of the kingdom of God; and the twelve were with him,
KADEKADEO murin mepukat a kotin kakan jili nan kanim laud o me tikitik kan, padapadak o kaloki ronamau en wein Kot, o ekriamen ian i.
2 and certain women who had been cured of evil spirits and infirmities, Mary called Magdalene, out of whom had come seven demons,
O pil li akai, me a kotin kakelailada jan nen jued o jomau kan, iet akan: Maria, me pil adanek i men Makdala, me tewil ijimen koiei jan.
3 and Joanna, the wife of Chuzas, Herod's steward, and Susanna, and many others, who afforded them aid from their substance.
O Ioana iei likond en Kujaj en Erodej a jaunkoa men, o Jujana, o me toto, me papaki I ar kapwa kan.
4 And a great multitude collecting together, and people from the cities going out to him, he spoke by a parable:
A aramaj totoia lao pokon don i jan nan kanim akan, karoj, ap kotin karajeraj majani:
5 A sower went forth to sow his seed; and as he sowed, some seeds fell by the way-side; and they were trodden down, and the birds of the air devoured them.
Jaunkamor kolan kamor a war akan. Ni a kamokamorok akai ap moredi on pon kailan al ap tiatidi o manpir en pan lan nam ir ala.
6 And others fell upon rocky ground; and when they had sprung up they withered away, because they had no moisture.
A akai moredi on pon paip. A lao wojada, a monedi, pweki a jota lamelamur.
7 And others fell among thorns; and the thorns sprung up with them, and choked them.
Akai moredi nan tuka teketek, a tuka teketek wojada, kajoka ir ala.
8 And others fell upon good ground, and sprung up, and bore fruit, a hundred-fold. While saying these things, he cried aloud, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.
A akai moredi nan pwel mau, ap wojada o wada pan me epuki. Ni a kotin majanier mepukat, ap majan laudeda: Me jalon a mia, men ron, i en ron!
9 And his disciples asked him what this parable meant.
A japwilim a tounpadak kan ap kalelapok re a: Ia wewe en karajeraj wet?
10 And he said, To you it hath been given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God; but to others [[these things are spoken]] in parables; that while seeing they may not see, and while hearing they may not understand.
I ari kotin majani: A muei on komail er, en aja me rir en wein Kot, a met akan en aja ni karajeraj akan pwe ren kilan, ap jota kilan, o ron, ap jota weweki.
11 Now the meaning of the parable is this. The seed is the word of God.
A iet wewe en karajeraj o: Majan en Kot iei war akan.
12 Those by the way-side are they that hear; then cometh the Devil and taketh away the word from their heart, that they may not believe and be saved.
A me mi pon kailan al o, iei ir, me ronadar, a muri tewil pwarada katia jan majan en Kot nan monion arail, pwe ren der pojon, rap maurela.
13 Those on the rocky ground are they who, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root; and for a while they believe, and in time of temptation fall away.
A me mi pon paip, iei ir, me kin ron majan o ap pereperen ale, a jota kalau re’rail. Anjau kij re kin pojon, a ni anjaun jonejon, irail kin pupe jan.
14 And those seeds which fell among the thorns, these are they who, when they have heard, go away and are choked with the cares and riches and pleasures of life, and bring no fruit to perfection.
A me moredi nan tuka teketek, iei irail me kin ron, ap koieila tiropeki anan o pai, o inon jued en maur et, rap jokekila, ap jota wa.
15 But the seeds on the good ground, these are they who in an honest and good heart, when they have heard the word, hold it fast, and bear fruit with constancy.
A nan jap mau, iei irail, me kin ron majan o, ap nekinek nan monion ar inen o mau, o wada nin tiak en kanonama.
16 And no one having lighted a lamp, covereth it with a vessel, or putteth it under a bed; but setteth it on a lampstand, that those who come in may see the light.
Jota me kin ijikeda lamp, ap pwainekidi kopa eu, de ki on pan men wendi a pon deu a, pwe me pan pedelon on en kilan marain o.
17 For nothing is secret, that will not be made manifest; nor hidden, that will not be known, and come to light.
Pwe jota me rir kot, me jo pan janjaleta, pil jota me okiok kot, me jo pan kalok jili.
18 Take heed therefore how ye hear; for whoever hath, to him will be given; and whoever hath not, from him will be taken even what he seemeth to have.
Komail ari kalaka duen omail kin roneron, pwe me a mia, ekij pan ko on; a me jota a mia, i, me a kiki on, me a, pan katia jan.
19 And his mother and his brothers came where he was, and could not get to him on account of the crowd.

20 And word was brought to him, Thy mother and thy brothers stand without, desiring to see thee.

21 And he answering said to them, My mother and my brothers are these, who hear the word of God, and do it.
A kotin japen majani on irail: In ai o ri ai mepukat, me kin roneron majan en Kot o apapwali.
22 Now it came to pass on a certain day, that he went into a boat with his disciples, and said to them, Let us go over to the other side of the lake; and they put off.
Kadekadeo ni eu ran a kotilan pon apot jop, a japwilim a tounpadak kan ian i. A kotin majani on irail: Kitail en kotela le en: Irail ari tanetan koieila.
23 But as they were sailing, he fell asleep. And there came down a storm of wind on the lake, and they were filling with water, and were in jeopardy.
O ni ar tanetan kokowei, a kotin jaimokela; melimel ap koda nan jed. A jop o pwilipwil, a pan mauidi.
24 And they came and awoke him, saying, Master, master, we are perishing! And he rose, and rebuked the wind, and the surging of the water; and they ceased, and there was a calm.

25 And he said to them, Where is your faith? And they were afraid, and wondered, saying one to another, Who then is this, that he commandeth even the winds and the water, and they obey him?
I ap kotin majani on irail: Ia omail pojon? A irail majakada inda nan pun ar: Daduen, ij men et, pwe a kin majani on an o jed, ir ari duki on.
26 And they sailed to the country of the Gergesenes, which is over against Galilee.

27 And when he had landed, there met him a certain man out of the city who had demons, and for a long time had worn no clothes, and abode not in a house, but in the tombs.
I lao kotidi jan, ol amen tu on i, me kodo jan kanim o, me tan war en tewil jan maj kokodo, o me kilijo, o a jota kin kaujon nan im, pwe a kin mimi nan joujou kan.
28 And seeing Jesus, he cried out, and fell down before him, and said with a loud voice, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, Son of the most high God? I beseech thee, do not torment me.
I lao kilan Iejuj, ap werida, poridi jan mo a indaki nil laud: Menda re omui nai, Iejuj Japwilim en Kot lapalap? I men poeki re omui, kom der kalok ia la!
29 For he was about to command the unclean spirit to come out of the man; for it had possessed him for a long time, and he had been kept bound and secured with chains and fetters; and bursting the bands, he had been driven by the demon into the wilderness.
Pwe a kotin majani on nen jaut o, en koiei jan ren aramaj o, pwe pan pak toto a jaikidi i; i ari kin jali kidi jal mata o jal en na kai. A i kamueit ir pajan, o tewil paki i lan jap tan.
30 And Jesus asked him, saying, What is thy name? And he said, Legion; because many demons had entered into him.
Iejuj kotin kainoma re a majani: Ia ad om? A potoan on: Lekion; pwe tewil toto mi re a.
31 And they besought him not to command them to go away into the abyss. (Abyssos g12)
Ir ari poeki re a, ender majani on irail, me ren kodilan pweleko. (Abyssos g12)
32 Now there was there a herd of many swine feeding on the mountain; and they besought him to permit them to go into them. And he permitted them.
Ari, pwin pwik kalaimun mi waja o manamana jili nin nana o. Irail ari poeki i, en kotin mueid on irail re en til on irail. I ari kotin mueid on irail.
33 And the demons coming out of the man went into the swine; and the herd rushed down the steep into the lake, and were drowned.

34 And the herdsmen, seeing what was done, fled, and told the news in the city and in the country.

35 And they went out to see what had been done. And they came to Jesus and found the man from whom the demons had gone out sitting, clothed, and in his right mind, at the feet of Jesus; and they were afraid.

37 And the whole multitude in the surrounding country of the Gergesenes besought him to depart from them; for they were seized with great fear. And he went on board a boat and returned.

38 And the man out of whom the demons had gone besought him that he might be with him. But he sent him away, saying,
A ol o, me tewil oko kodi janer, poeki re a, en ian i; a Iejuj jota kotin mueid on i majani:
39 Return to thy house, and tell what great things God hath done for thee. And he went and published through the whole city what great things Jesus had done for him.

40 And it came to pass when Jesus returned, that the multitude welcomed him; for they were all waiting for him.
Kadekadeo Iejuj lao kotin puredo, aramaj akan ap kajamo i, pwe irail karoj auiaui i.
41 And lo! there came a man, named Jairus, and he was a ruler of the synagogue; and falling at the feet of Jesus, he besought him to come into his house;
A kilan, ol amen, ad a Iairuj, jaumaj en jinakoke, kotido poridi ni aluwilu en Iejuj o poeki i, en kotilon on nan im a.
42 for he had an only daughter, about twelve years of age, and she was dying. And as he went, the multitudes thronged him.
Pwe na ieroj jeripein amen, me a par naulriau, me koren ion mela. A ni a kotikot kokodo, pokon o koi don i.
43 And a woman who had had an issue of blood twelve years, and had spent all her living upon physicians, and could not be cured by any one,

44 came up behind and touched the fringe of his garment; and immediately her issue of blood ceased.

45 And Jesus said, Who touched me? And when all denied it, Peter and those with him said, Master, the multitudes are thronging thee, and pressing against thee.

46 But Jesus said, Some one touched me; for I perceived that power went out from me.
A Iejuj kotin majani: Nan meamen jair ia, pwe I pam, me kel eu ko jan er.
47 And the woman, seeing that she was discovered, came trembling, and falling down before him declared before all the people for what cause she had touched him, and how she was cured immediately.
A li o lao ajaer, me a jo kak rirala, ap majapwekada, apedi poridi jan mo a, ap katitiki mon aramaj karoj, karepan a jair i, o duen a kelailada madan.

49 While he was yet speaking, there cometh one from the house of the ruler of the synagogue, saying, Thy daughter is dead; trouble not the Teacher any further.
A ni a kotin majaniata, amen potodo jan ren jaumaj en jinakoke o katitiki on i: Japwilim omui jeripein melar. Men da kom kanirieki jaunpadak o.
50 But Jesus hearing this, answered him, Fear not; only believe, and she will be made well.

51 And going into the house, he suffered no one to go in with him but Peter and John and James, and the father of the maiden, and the mother.

53 And they laughed him to scorn, knowing that she was dead.

56 And her parents were amazed. But he charged them to tell no one what had been done.
