< Luke 13 >

1 There were present also at the same time some who told him of the Galilaeans, whose blood Pilate mingled with their sacrifices.

2 And he answering said to them, Do ye think that these Galilaeans were sinners above all the Galilaeans, because they have suffered such things?
uYesu akavamula akavavula, “pe musagha kuuti avagalilaya avuo valyale ni sambi kukila avagalilaya avange voni fyenambe ghavaghile amavivi aghuo?
3 I tell you, nay; but unless ye repent, ye will all in like manner perish.
Nambe, nikuvavula neke nave namulata najumue mulibudua vule vule.
4 Or those eighteen, on whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slew them, think ye that they were offenders above all the men that dwell in Jerusalem?
nambe avaanhu vala kijigho nu ntanda ku Siloamu vanoghukaghua na kuvabuda, musagha aveene valyale vanya sambi kukila avaanhu avange ku Yelusalemu?
5 I tell you, nay; but unless ye repent, ye will all in like manner perish.
Nambe, une niti, neke nave namulata najumue mweni mufua.
6 He spoke also this parable: A certain man had a fig-tree planted in his vineyard; and he came seeking fruit thereon, and found none.
uYesu akavavula ikihwani iki,” umuunhu jumonga layale nu mpiki ghuvyalilue mu mughunda ghwa mwene, akaluta kulonda imheeke mu mpiki ghula neke nakaghaghile.
7 Then said he to the vine-dresser, Lo! three years I have come seeking fruit on this fig-tree, and have found none; cut it down; why cumbereth it the ground?
akam'bula juno ilolelela umughunda ghula, “lola mu maka ghatatu nisile na kughela kulonda imheeke mumpiki ughu neke nanipatile. udumule ulwakuva ghunangania ilihanga.
8 And he answering saith to him, Lord, let it alone this year also; till I shall dig about it, and dung it;
juno ilolelela umughunda akati, “ughuleke umwaka ughu neke nipile na kukuvikila imbolela.
9 and if it bear fruit hereafter, well; but if not, thou shalt cut it down.
nave ghihola imheeke umwaka ghuno ghukwisa ke kanono, neke nave naghuhola nikughudumula.
10 And he was teaching in one of the synagogues on the sabbath.
lino uYesu alyale ivulanisia mu nyumba jimonga ija kufunyila unsiki ghwa Sabati.
11 And lo! there was a woman who had had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years; and she was bent together, and wholly unable to lift herself up.
lola, pwe alyale umukimama jumonga juno ku maka kijigho nu ntanda alyale ni lipepo ililamafu lwa vuvotevote, umwene alyale mughogholo naalyale iwesia kukwima na kugholoka.
12 And Jesus, seeing her, called to her, and said to her, Woman, thou art set free from thy infirmity.
uYesu ati amwaghile an'kemheela akam'bula, “mama uvikilue vwavuke kuhuma mu vuvotevote vwako.”
13 And he laid his hands on her; and immediately she stood upright, and gave glory to God.
akavika amavoko ghake pa kyanya jake, pe um'bili ghwake ghukagholoka ghwope akamughinia uNguluve.
14 But the ruler of the synagogue answering, being filled with indignation because Jesus had performed a cure on the sabbath, said to the multitude, There are six days in which it is proper to work; on those therefore come and be cured, and not on the sabbath-day.
neke um'baha ghwa nyumba jila ja kufunyila akakalala ulwakuva uYesu alya nsosisie ikighono kya Sabati. pe untavulua akamwamula akalivula ilipugha,”kuli ni fighono, fino luvaghile kuvoma imbombo. mwise kusosia himbe, nakwekuti kikighono kya sabati kyene.
15 But the Lord answered him and said, Hypocrites, doth not each of you on the sabbath loose his ox or his ass from the stall, and lead him away and water him?
uMutwa akamwamula akati, “vakitule! nakwale nambe juno kulyumue juno idindulila idogovi nambe ing'ombe jako kuhuma muluvagha na kukuvalongosia kuluta kunyua ikighono kya Sabati?
16 And ought not this woman, a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan hath bound, lo! for eighteen years, to be loosed from this bond on the sabbath-day?
pe lino umhinja ghwa Ibulahamu, juno uSetano an'dindile ku maka kijigho nu ntanda, pe nalukamunoghile umhinja jula kusosivua ikighono kya Sabati.
17 And on his speaking thus, all his adversaries were ashamed; and all the multitude rejoiced for all the glorious things that were done by him.
pano alyale ijova amasio aghuo, voni vala vano valyale vikumpinga vakavona soni, pe ilipugha ilikome lya vange vakalulutila vwimila sino sinoavombile.
18 He said therefore, To what is the kingdom of God like? and to what shall I compare it?
uYesu akati, “uvwimike vwa Nguluve vuhwanine ni kiki, kange niwesia kuling'anisia ni kiki?
19 It is like a grain of mustard, which a man took, and cast into his garden; and it grew, and became a tree, and the birds of the air lodged in its branches.
ji ghwene mbeju jino umuunhu atolile na kuluta kuvyala ku mughunda ghwake, jikalela na kuva mpiki n'kome, ni njuni sa kukyanya sikatenda ifivwasu fyave mu matafi ghake.
20 And again he said, To what shall I liken the kingdom of God?
kange akati, “nivuling'anisie ni kiki uvwimike vwa Nguluve?
21 It is like leaven, which a woman took and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened.
ki kwene kilule kino un'dala itola na kuhasing'ania jujuo ifipimilo fitatu fya vutine nambe kughumuka”
22 And he went through the cities and villages, teaching, and journeying towards Jerusalem.
uYesu alyaghendile mu mapulo ni fikaaja kuluta ku Yelusalemu na kuvavulanisia.
23 And one said to him, Lord, are there few that are to be saved? And he said to them,
umuunhu jumonga akaposia akati, “Mutwa, ve vaanhu vadebe vano vilipokua”. pe lino akavavula akati,”
24 Strive to enter in through the narrow door; for many, I say to you, will seek to enter in, and will not be able.
mujilolelelaghe kukilila umulyango unsekele, ulwakuva vinga vighela na kukunua kukwingila.
25 When once the master of the house shall have risen, and shut the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, open to us, and he answering shall say to you, I know not whence ye are;
pambele unyanyumba ati imile na pidinda umulyango, pe mulikwima panji na kuhodesia na kuuti, Mutwa, Mutwa, tudindulile umwene ikuvamula na kwiti, 'nanivamanyile umue nambe kuno muhuma'
26 then will ye begin to say, We ate and drank in thy presence, and thou didst teach in our streets.

27 And he will say, I tell you, I know not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity.
neke umwene ikivamula, nikuvavula nanivamanye kuno muhuma, vuka palyune umue mwe vavomba vuhosi.
28 There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth there, when ye see Abraham and Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets in the kingdom of God, and yourselves thrust out.
kwe kuliva na kulila kisila vusililo unsiki ghuno mulikuvagha uAbulahamu, Isaka nu Yakovo na vavili voni ku vwimike vwa Nguluve, neke umue jumue mutaghilue kunji.
29 And from the east and the west and the north and the south will men come, and take their places at table in the kingdom of God.
vikwisa kuhuma imbale sooni, nakupuma pa mesa ja kyakulia kya pakivwilile mu vutwa vwa Nguluve.
30 And lo! there are last who will be first, and there are first who will be last.
kagula ili kuuti, ughwa vusililo ghwe ghwa kwanda nu ghwawanda iiva ghwa vusililo”.
31 In the same hour there came certain Pharisees, saying to him, Depart, and go hence; for Herod designeth to kill thee.
unsiki undebe pambele, avafalisayi vamonga valisile na kukum'bula kuuti, “luta na kuvuka apa ulwakuva uHelode ilonda kukubuda”.
32 And he said to them, Go, tell that fox, Lo! I cast out demons and perform cures to-day and to-morrow, and on the third day I make an end.
uYesu akati, “mulute mukakivule ikikanu, kila, lola nikughadagha amapepo na kusosia umusyughu nu lyakilavo, ni kighono kya vutatu nitekelesia uvufumbue vwango.
33 But to-day and to-morrow and the next day I must go on; for it cannot be that a prophet should perish out of Jerusalem.
ku lwolwoni lunoghile vwimila jango kughedelela umusyughu, ulwakilavo ni fighono fino fikwisa, ulwakuva najikwiting'ana kum'buda m'bili kutali ni Yelusalemu.
34 Jerusalem! Jerusalem! that killeth the prophets, and stoneth those who are sent to her! How often would I have gathered thy children together, as a hen gathereth her brood under her wings, and ye would not!
Yelusalemu, Yelusalemu ghwe veni juno ikivabuda avavili na kukuvatova amavue vala vano vasung'ilue kulyumue. ke kalingi ninoghilue kuvakong'ania avaanha vinu ndavule ing'uku vule jikong'ania ifayana fyake mumbavatilo sake. neke ili namukalighanile.
35 Lo! your house is abandoned to you. I declare to you, Ye will not see me until the time come when ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.
lola ujilekile inyumba jako. najune nukivavula, namungawesie kukunyagha nambe mungati, 'afunyilue ujuo juno ikwisa ku litavua lya mutwa”.
