< 1 Thessalonians 4 >

1 Furthermore then, brethren, we beseech you, and exhort you in the Lord Jesus, that, as ye received from us how ye ought to walk and to please God, even as ye are walking, ye would abound still more;
Dadꞌi taꞌo ia, toronoo nggare! Hai kokoe nggi, fo misodꞌa tao mimihoꞌo Lamatualain ralan, onaꞌ hai minori nggiꞌ a. Memaꞌ misodꞌa tungga basa naa ra ena, te huu hita ia ra dadꞌi Lamatuaꞌ Yesus bobꞌonggin ena, de hai moꞌe fo ama bꞌau ue-tao maꞌadereꞌ seluꞌ fai.
2 for ye know what commands we gave you through the Lord Jesus.
Basa hei bubꞌuluꞌ ena saa fo hai minori neu hei naa, mendiꞌ Lamatuaꞌ Yesus koasan.
3 For this is the will of God, your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication;
Lamatualain hihiin taꞌo ia: Misodꞌa meumareꞌ! Afiꞌ misodꞌa manggenggeoꞌ. Naeni, afiꞌ hohongge mo atahori sao nara, sao tou, do, sao inaꞌ.
4 that every one of you should know how to procure for himself his own vessel in purity and honor,
Hei musi tao mataꞌ neu ao mara, fo misodꞌa meumareꞌ, sambe atahori fee hadꞌat neu nggi.
5 not in the passion of lust, even as the gentiles who know not God;
Afiꞌ misodꞌa tungga hihii ao-sisi mara, onaꞌ atahori nda mana rahine Lamatualain sa.
6 that no one should go beyond and overreach his brother in the matter; because the Lord is the avenger in respect to all these things, as we also told you before and solemnly testified.
Afiꞌ sangga hahambuꞌ, ma hohongge mo atahori nemehereꞌ sa neu Lamatuaꞌ. Te Lamatuaꞌ naa, Malangga mana bala-bꞌae basa deꞌulakaꞌ onaꞌ naa ra. Hai mifadꞌe nesefafali basa ia ra neu nggi ena, ma fee nesenenedꞌaꞌ eniꞌ a dalahulun ena.
7 For God did not call us to live in uncleanness, but in purity.
Lamatualain noꞌe nala hita fo dadꞌi atahorin ena. Eni hihiin, hita musi tasodꞌa meumareꞌ, nda tasodꞌa manggenggeoꞌ onaꞌ mana hohonggeꞌ ra sa. Nda taꞌo naa sa.
8 He therefore that rejecteth, rejecteth not man, but God, who also gave to you his Holy Spirit.
Huu naa, atahori nda mana tungga nenoriꞌ ia sa, ana nda tola akaꞌ a hai sa, te ana o tola Lamatualain, mana fee Dula-dale Meumaren neu nggiꞌ a.
9 But concerning brotherly love there is no need of writing to you; for ye yourselves are taught of God to love one another;
Au nda parlu suraꞌ seluꞌ fee hei dala susueꞌ sa, huu Lamatualain nanori ena oi, hei esa musi sue esa.
10 for indeed ye do it toward all the brethren who are in all Macedonia. But we exhort you, brethren, to abound in love still more;
Hai o rena hei sue basa toronooꞌ mana sia profinsi Makedonia ra. Te toronooꞌ, re! Ia naa hai moꞌe fo ama sue milenaꞌ se fai.
11 and to study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you;
Malolole fo ama misodꞌa no mole-dame, afiꞌ tungga atahori feaꞌ ra dalan, te esa-esaꞌ tao mataꞌ neu dalan. Ama musi tao ues fo sangga nanaa-nininuꞌ ao mara, afiꞌ mimihena atahori feaꞌ ra. Hai fee nesenenedꞌaꞌ ia neu nggi eniꞌ a dalahulun.
12 that ye may walk becomingly toward those without, and may have need of nothing.
Mete ma misodꞌa taꞌo naa, na nda tao mimibera atahori laen sa. Dei fo atahori nda mana ramahere neu Kristus sa mete rita masodꞌa mara taꞌo naa, na ara rae, “We! Memaꞌ atahori mana tungga Lamatuaꞌ Yesus naa, manggate seli, o!”
13 But we would not have you ignorant, brethren, concerning those who are sleeping, that ye may not sorrow, as others do, who have no hope.
Naa! Ia na, basa toronooꞌ re, au ae ufadꞌe dalaꞌ esa, fo mihine tebꞌe-tebꞌe soꞌal atahori mates ra. Hita bubꞌuluꞌ tae, atahori mates ra dei fo rasodꞌa baliꞌ. Dadꞌi mete ma hambu Lamatuaꞌ atahorin ruma mate, na, afiꞌ miꞌisususaꞌ ao mara, onaꞌ atahori feaꞌ nda mana rahine dalaꞌ naa sa.
14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, then also will God, through Jesus, bring again with him those who have fallen asleep.
Te hita bubꞌuluꞌ tae, Yesus mate basa ma Lamatualain o tao nasodꞌa baliꞌ E. Naa! No taꞌo naa, Lamatualain o tao nasodꞌa baliꞌ basa atahori mates mana ramahereꞌ ra, ma naꞌabꞌue nala basa se ro Lamatuaꞌ Yesus.
15 For this we say to you in the word of the Lord, that we who are living, we who are left till the coming of the Lord, shall not anticipate those who have fallen asleep.
Dei fo sira ro hita feꞌe masodꞌa ia ra, nenesoꞌuꞌ leleeꞌ ata teu fo soru Lamatuaꞌ Yesus neneman. Basa naa, basa hita tasodꞌa takandoo to E. Hei rena malolole, te saa fo hai mifadꞌeꞌ ia, Lamatuaꞌ mana nafadꞌe aon.
16 For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a loud summons, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trump of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first;
17 then we who are living, we who are left, shall be caught up together with them in clouds, to meet the Lord in the air; and so shall we be ever with the Lord.
18 So then comfort one another with these words.
De ama musi pake nenoriꞌ ia, fo tao manggatee esa no esa rala nara.
