Psalms 106

1 Praise JAH. Give thanks to YHWH, for he is good, for his loving kindness endures forever.

൧യഹോവയെ സ്തുതിക്കുവിൻ; യഹോവയ്ക്കു സ്തോത്രം ചെയ്യുവിൻ; ദൈവം നല്ലവനല്ലയോ; അവിടുത്തെ ദയ എന്നേക്കും ഉള്ളത്.

2 Who can utter the mighty acts of YHWH, or fully declare all his praise?

൨യഹോവയുടെ വീര്യപ്രവൃത്തികളെ ആര് വർണ്ണിക്കും? അവിടുത്തെ സ്തുതിയെപ്പറ്റി എല്ലാം ആര് വിവരിക്കും?

3 Blessed are those who uphold justice, who practice righteousness at all times.

൩ന്യായം പ്രമാണിക്കുന്നവരും എല്ലായ്പോഴും നീതി പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നവരും ഭാഗ്യവാന്മാർ.

4 Remember me, YHWH, with the favor that you show to your people. Visit me with your salvation,

൪യഹോവേ, അവിടുന്ന് തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തവരുടെ നന്മ ഞാൻ കാണേണ്ടതിനും അങ്ങയുടെ ജനത്തിന്റെ സന്തോഷത്തിൽ സന്തോഷിക്കേണ്ടതിനും അങ്ങയുടെ അവകാശത്തോടുകൂടി പുകഴേണ്ടതിനും

5 that I may see the prosperity of your chosen, that I may rejoice in the gladness of your nation, that I may glory with your inheritance.

൫അങ്ങയുടെ ജനത്തോടുള്ള കടാക്ഷപ്രകാരം എന്നെ ഓർത്ത്, അങ്ങയുടെ രക്ഷകൊണ്ട് എന്നെ സന്ദർശിക്കണമേ.

6 We have sinned with our fathers. We have committed iniquity. We have done wickedly.

൬ഞങ്ങൾ ഞങ്ങളുടെ പൂര്‍വ്വ പിതാക്കന്മാരെപ്പോലെ പാപംചെയ്തു; ഞങ്ങൾ അകൃത്യവും ദുഷ്ടതയും പ്രവർത്തിച്ചു.

7 Our fathers did not understand your wonders in Egypt. They did not remember the multitude of your loving kindnesses, but were rebellious at the sea, even at the Red Sea.

൭ഞങ്ങളുടെ പൂര്‍വ്വ പിതാക്കന്മാർ ഈജിപ്റ്റിൽവെച്ച് അങ്ങയുടെ അത്ഭുതങ്ങളെ ഗ്രഹിക്കാതെയും അങ്ങയുടെ മഹാദയയെ ഓർമ്മിക്കാതെയും കടല്ക്കരയിൽ, ചെങ്കടല്ക്കരയിൽവച്ചു തന്നെ, മത്സരിച്ചു.

8 Nevertheless he saved them for his name's sake, that he might make his mighty power known.

൮എന്നിട്ടും ദൈവം തന്റെ മഹാശക്തി വെളിപ്പെടുത്തേണ്ടതിന് തന്റെ നാമംനിമിത്തം അവരെ രക്ഷിച്ചു.

9 He rebuked the Red Sea also, and it was dried up; so he led them through the depths, as through a desert.

൯ദൈവം ചെങ്കടലിനെ ശാസിച്ചു, അത് ഉണങ്ങിപ്പോയി; കർത്താവ് അവരെ മരുഭൂമിയിൽക്കൂടി എന്നപോലെ ആഴിയിൽക്കൂടി നടത്തി.

10 He saved them from the hand of him who hated them, and redeemed them from the hand of the enemy.

൧൦പകയ്ക്കുന്നവരുടെ കൈയിൽനിന്ന് അവിടുന്ന് അവരെ രക്ഷിച്ചു; ശത്രുവിന്റെ കൈയിൽനിന്ന് അവരെ വീണ്ടെടുത്തു.

11 The waters covered their adversaries. There was not one of them left.

൧൧വെള്ളം അവരുടെ വൈരികളെ മൂടിക്കളഞ്ഞു; അവരിൽ ഒരുത്തനും ശേഷിച്ചില്ല.

12 Then they believed his words. They sang his praise.

൧൨അപ്പോൾ അവർ അവിടുത്തെ വചനങ്ങൾ വിശ്വസിച്ചു; ദൈവത്തിന് സ്തുതിപാടുകയും ചെയ്തു.

13 They soon forgot his works. They did not wait for his counsel,

൧൩എങ്കിലും അവർ വേഗത്തിൽ കർത്താവിന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തികളെ മറന്നു; ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ആലോചനയ്ക്കായി കാത്തിരുന്നതുമില്ല.

14 but gave in to craving in the desert, and tested God in the wasteland.

൧൪മരുഭൂമിയിൽവച്ച് അവർ ഏറ്റവും മോഹിച്ചു; നിർജ്ജനപ്രദേശത്ത് അവർ ദൈവത്തെ പരീക്ഷിച്ചു.

15 He gave them their request, but sent leanness into their soul.

൧൫അവർ അപേക്ഷിച്ചത് ദൈവം അവർക്ക് കൊടുത്തു; എങ്കിലും അവരുടെ പ്രാണന് ക്ഷയം അയച്ചു.

16 They envied Moses also in the camp, and Aaron, YHWH's holy one.

൧൬പാളയത്തിൽവച്ച് അവർ മോശെയോടും യഹോവയുടെ വിശുദ്ധനായ അഹരോനോടും അസൂയപ്പെട്ടു.

17 The earth opened and swallowed up Dathan, and covered the company of Abiram.

൧൭ഭൂമി പിളർന്ന് ദാഥാനെ വിഴുങ്ങി; അബീരാമിന്റെ കൂട്ടത്തെയും മൂടിക്കളഞ്ഞു.

18 A fire was kindled in their company. The flame burned up the wicked.

൧൮അവരുടെ കൂട്ടത്തിൽ തീ കത്തി; അഗ്നിജ്വാല ദുഷ്ടന്മാരെ ദഹിപ്പിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു.

19 They made a calf in Horeb, and worshiped a molten image.

൧൯അവർ ഹോരേബിൽവച്ച് ഒരു കാളക്കുട്ടിയെ ഉണ്ടാക്കി; വാർത്തുണ്ടാക്കിയ വിഗ്രഹത്തെ നമസ്കരിച്ചു.

20 Thus they exchanged their glory for an image of a bull that eats grass.

൨൦ഇങ്ങനെ അവർ അവരുടെ മഹത്വമായവനെ പുല്ല് തിന്നുന്ന കാളയോട് സദൃശനാക്കി മാറ്റി.

21 They forgot God, their Savior, who had done great things in Egypt,

൨൧ഈജിപ്റ്റിൽ വലിയ കാര്യങ്ങളും ഹാമിന്റെ ദേശത്ത് അത്ഭുതപ്രവൃത്തികളും

22 Wondrous works in the land of Ham, and awesome things by the Red Sea.

൨൨ചെങ്കടലിൽ ഭയങ്കരകാര്യങ്ങളും ചെയ്തവനായ അവരുടെ രക്ഷിതാവായ ദൈവത്തെ അവർ മറന്നു.

23 Therefore he said that he would destroy them, had Moses, his chosen, not stood before him in the breach, to turn away his wrath, so that he wouldn't destroy them.

൨൩ആകയാൽ അവരെ നശിപ്പിക്കുമെന്ന് ദൈവം അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു; അവിടുത്തെ വൃതനായ മോശെ കോപത്തെ ശമിപ്പിക്കുവാൻ അവിടുത്തെ സന്നിധിയിൽ പിളർപ്പിൽ നിന്നില്ലായിരുന്നെങ്കിൽ ദൈവം അവരെ നശിപ്പിച്ചുകളയുമായിരുന്നു.

24 Yes, they despised the pleasant land. They did not believe his word,

൨൪അവർ മനോഹരദേശത്തെ നിരസിച്ചു; അവിടുത്തെ വചനം വിശ്വസിച്ചതുമില്ല.

25 but murmured in their tents, and did not listen to YHWH's voice.

൨൫അവർ അവരുടെ കൂടാരങ്ങളിൽവച്ച് പിറുപിറുത്തു; യഹോവയുടെ വചനം കേൾക്കാതെയിരുന്നു.

26 Therefore he swore to them that he would overthrow them in the wilderness,

൨൬അതുകൊണ്ട് ദൈവം അവരെ മരുഭൂമിയിൽ വീഴിക്കുമെന്നും അവരുടെ സന്തതിയെ ജനതകളുടെ ഇടയിൽ നശിപ്പിക്കുമെന്നും

27 and that he would make their offspring fall among the nations, and scatter them in the lands.

൨൭അവരെ ദേശങ്ങളിൽ ചിതറിച്ചുകളയുമെന്നും അവർക്ക് വിരോധമായി തന്റെ കൈ ഉയർത്തി സത്യംചെയ്തു.

28 They joined themselves also to Baal Peor, and ate the sacrifices of the dead.

൨൮അനന്തരം അവർ ബാൽ-പെയോരിനോട് ചേർന്നു; മരിച്ചവർക്കുള്ള ബലികൾ തിന്നു.

29 Thus they provoked him to anger with their deeds. The plague broke in on them.

൨൯ഇങ്ങനെ അവർ അവരുടെ ക്രിയകളാൽ കർത്താവിനെ കോപിപ്പിച്ചു; പെട്ടെന്ന് അവർക്ക് ഒരു ബാധ തട്ടി.

30 Then Phinehas stood up, and executed judgment, so the plague was stopped.

൩൦അപ്പോൾ ഫീനെഹാസ് എഴുന്നേറ്റ് ശിക്ഷ നടത്തി; ബാധ നിന്നുപോകുകയും ചെയ്തു.

31 That was credited to him for righteousness, for all generations to come.

൩൧അത് തലമുറതലമുറയായി എന്നേക്കും അവന് നീതിയായി എണ്ണിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

32 They angered him also at the waters of Meribah, so that Moses was troubled for their sakes;

൩൨മെരീബാവെള്ളത്തിങ്കലും അവർ ദൈവത്തെ കോപിപ്പിച്ചു; അവരുടെ നിമിത്തം മോശെക്കും ദോഷം ഭവിച്ചു.

33 because they were rebellious against his spirit, he spoke rashly with his lips.

൩൩അവർ അവനെ കോപിപ്പിച്ചതുകൊണ്ട് അവൻ അധരങ്ങളാൽ അവിവേകം സംസാരിച്ചുപോയി.

34 They did not destroy the peoples, as YHWH commanded them,

൩൪യഹോവ അവരോടു കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ അവർ ജനതകളെ നശിപ്പിച്ചില്ല.

35 but mixed themselves with the nations, and learned their works.

൩൫അവർ ദൈവമില്ലാത്തവരോട് ഇടകലർന്ന് അവരുടെ പ്രവൃത്തികൾ പഠിച്ചു.

36 They served their idols, which became a snare to them.

൩൬അവരുടെ വിഗ്രഹങ്ങളെ സേവിച്ചു; അവ അവർക്കൊരു കെണിയായിത്തീർന്നു.

37 Yes, they sacrificed their sons and their daughters to demons.

൩൭തങ്ങളുടെ പുത്രന്മാരെയും പുത്രിമാരെയും അവർ ഭൂതങ്ങൾക്ക് ബലികഴിച്ചു.

38 They shed innocent blood, even the blood of their sons and of their daughters, whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan. The land was polluted with blood.

൩൮അവർ കുറ്റമില്ലാത്ത രക്തം, പുത്രീപുത്രന്മാരുടെ രക്തം തന്നെ, ചൊരിഞ്ഞു; അവരെ അവർ കനാന്യവിഗ്രഹങ്ങൾക്ക് ബലികഴിച്ചു, ദേശം രക്തപാതകംകൊണ്ട് അശുദ്ധമായിത്തീർന്നു.

39 Thus were they defiled with their works, and prostituted themselves in their deeds.

൩൯ഇങ്ങനെ അവർ അവരുടെ ക്രിയകളാൽ മലിനപ്പെട്ടു, അവരുടെ കർമ്മങ്ങളാൽ പരസംഗം ചെയ്തു.

40 Therefore YHWH burned with anger against his people. He abhorred his inheritance.

൪൦അതുകൊണ്ട് യഹോവയുടെ കോപം തന്റെ ജനത്തിന്റെ നേരെ ജ്വലിച്ചു; ദൈവം തന്റെ അവകാശത്തെ വെറുത്തു.

41 He gave them into the hand of the nations. Those who hated them ruled over them.

൪൧കർത്താവ് അവരെ ജനതകളുടെ കയ്യിൽ ഏല്പിച്ചു; അവരെ വെറുത്തവർ അവരെ ഭരിച്ചു.

42 Their enemies also oppressed them. They were brought into subjection under their hand.

൪൨അവരുടെ ശത്രുക്കൾ അവരെ ഞെരുക്കി; അവർ അവർക്ക് കീഴടങ്ങേണ്ടിവന്നു.

43 Many times he delivered them, but they were rebellious in their counsel, and were brought low in their iniquity.

൪൩പലപ്പോഴും കർത്താവ് അവരെ വിടുവിച്ചു; എങ്കിലും അവർ അവരുടെ ആലോചനയാൽ കർത്താവിനെ പ്രകോപിപ്പിച്ചു; അവരുടെ അകൃത്യം നിമിത്തം അധോഗതി പ്രാപിച്ചു.

44 Nevertheless he regarded their distress, when he heard their cry.

൪൪എന്നാൽ അവരുടെ നിലവിളികേട്ടപ്പോൾ കർത്താവ് അവരുടെ കഷ്ടത കടാക്ഷിച്ചു.

45 He remembered for them his covenant, and repented according to the multitude of his loving kindnesses.

൪൫ദൈവം അവർക്കുവേണ്ടി തന്റെ നിയമം ഓർത്തു; തന്റെ മഹാദയയാൽ മനസ്സുമാറ്റി.

46 He made them also to be pitied by all those who carried them captive.

൪൬അവരെ ബദ്ധരാക്കി കൊണ്ടുപോയവർക്കെല്ലാം അവരോട് കനിവ് തോന്നുമാറാക്കി.

47 Save us, YHWH, our God, gather us from among the nations, to give thanks to your holy name, to triumph in your praise.

൪൭ഞങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേ, ഞങ്ങളെ രക്ഷിക്കണമേ; അവിടുത്തെ വിശുദ്ധനാമത്തിന് സ്തോത്രം ചെയ്യുവാനും അവിടുത്തെ സ്തുതിയിൽ പ്രശംസിക്കുവാനും ജനതകളുടെ ഇടയിൽനിന്ന് ഞങ്ങളെ ശേഖരിക്കണമേ.

48 Blessed be YHWH, the God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting. And let all the people say, "Amen." Praise JAH.

൪൮യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ എന്നും എന്നേക്കും വാഴ്ത്തപ്പെടുമാറാകട്ടെ; ജനമെല്ലാം ആമേൻ എന്നു പറയട്ടെ. യഹോവയെ സ്തുതിക്കുവിൻ.
